Travelled with my parents and stayed in one room with a king sized bed. Probably wasn't the best arrangement i've chosen as we had to fit ourselves in one bed. We were given a room on the 18th floor which had an amazing view of the neighbouring buildings, Sydney streets and a partial view of the bay. Things were clean, tucked away neatly and in good working order. Loved the tub which was strategically located next to a massive window where you can indirectly watch the sunset whilst having a bath. The hotel staff were all consistently pleasant. From the entrance to the front desk, they always greeted us with genuine and warm smiles. I didn't book a room with free brekky so I wouldn't be able to give a review on that. They do have a gym, which my dad was able to use but briefly commented that it lack other pieces of equipment. On the whole, I would be happy to stay here again and keep an eye out for Agoda promotions to get an extra discount as it is on the pricey side. Even if it was in a prime location, I still feel that it could have been a little cheaper considering the rest of the options around it. This room is more suited for couples. So I highly recommend that for a group of 3 adults, to book a room with 2 double beds. If not, make sure the room has a couch/sofa if that's something you would rather do than pay more.

Bed and pillows are comfortable. Tub is longer than some other hotels. We would have appreciated it better if the hotel provided slippers and toothbrush/toothpaste kit. Locationwise, the surroundings have nice sceneries. Nearest tram ride is about 7 minutes walk. About hotel breakfast, it was delicious but not too satisfied with the cleanliness of the dishes. The first plate I grabbed had some food residue in it and when i came back to get some bowl, I noticed another bowl with food residue again. The napkin on the table where they seated us was slightly used and was not replaced. We had to pay for breakfast at checkout as it wasn't part of the package. They had a sign saying all credit card payments incur a surcharge of 1.5%. I did some research and it seems a lot of hotels in Australia do this. However, I was a bit disappointed that a big hotel chain like Hilton also had this surcharge. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay.

And i don't have to worry that I have no food to eat after sunset since malls close early in Australia! Room is great; staff are good; fast service of portering of baggages into the room. If only they have pool/jacuzzi and sauna/steam room, it will be perfect!

Best part is, you walk for about 400 meters and you're in the free tram zone so don't need to spend on travel if you want to explore the city. It's ideally located just far enough from the city that you don't have to listen to the bustle and can enjoy peace. You walk the other way and can get to lygon Street in less than 10 minutes to eat at some of the best Italian restaurants in Melbourne. So overall, proximity to everything is just amazing. Now coming to the room, it was very clean and quiet. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment that had everything in it from a nice fully equipped bathroom to our own kitchen that came with utensils, microwave, refrigerator, chimney, hot plate, etc. Nice lcd tv, chilling air con, well lit room. Plenty more to it. Would definitely book again next time when needed.

In Australia everything closes at 5pm - Only Thursday Night is Late Night Shopping and then open till 9pm. Yet if you want to get some bottled water or even a snack - there is a Coles Convenience Store / Gas Station only a short walk from the Hotel open till Midnight which will satisfy all your needs. Again - Darling Harbour Shopping / China Town / Sydney University / TAFE ( Technical and Further Education ) / Sydney English Language College / UTS all a short walk from this Hotel - Even Central Station where you can catch a train to anywhere in Australia is only a nice short walk from this Hotel. Why Rent a Car - I didn't and I could get to the Blue Mountains & Katoomba or a Train to Perth or even Brisbane all from a short walk from the Hotel.

We stayed here during new years eve in the expectation to see the fireworks from the room on Darling Harbour. The hotel is very accessible as it is near the prime shopping area and some major attraction sights. It is also close by the airport. We enjoyed the free club lounge access at the top floor which served all day snacks and beverage of all sorts. The staff was also very nice and we were even given an early check in room for our stay. I guess the only downside here is that they don't have any swimming pool which is expected of a 5 star hotel, but apart from that, everything is good. I would even considering booking a room here again on my future travel.

Staying here was the best experience in value for $ in many years of recent travelling around Australia. I was shocked to get such an excellent quality room for only $66/night in such a first rate location of convenience. It vastly exceeded my expectations. The street level foyer area is the least appealing aspect of the complex (but was completely irrelevant to my stay) and gives a massive understatement to the excellent rooms of the complex. The rooms have obviously been recently and completely refurbished. An extremely smart design has been used and the floor area is extremely generous. Could this be the best value accommodation in Australia? It is in my travel experience. In terms of function meeting need, and given the location, this site is a 10/10 for me, well done folks! (The Agoda rating system demands that you rate 'Food/Dining' without an option to select 'NA' or to not rate. What selection option to you have if you didn't even look at a menu? This means that the number rating system by Agoda may be unfair in respect of over all measurement and in particular of the 'Food/Dining' service provided).

The beach is simply stunning, and the center of Surfer's Paradise is never boring. It is where most of the activities, besides the Theme Parks, are. The place unlike most of Australia is open 24hrs. The hotel is new, and the service was great. The unit we got was spacious with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a laundry area, a living area, a dining area, and a balcony with dining table and chairs. The unit also is fully equipped with oven, microwave, dish washer, laundry and drying machine. The view from the hotel is just marvelous.

The hotel location was fantastic, there is an alleyway next to the hotel with a walk of a few minutes to the queen vic markets [which is a great place to visit] & only a short walk from the hotel to several tram stops [although we like walking & would walk from the hotel to the city centre area in 10 minutes]. The reception desk staff were friendly & helpful,as were all the staff at the hotel. All in all,it would be one of the best hotels we have stayed at.Price wise it is very good value for money & Agoda was the cheapest place to book this hotel. Thanks for a great experience.

Booking the Executive Room-City View at a really affordable price via Agoda is quite a steal. It is just near when we do not have our luggages with us, but if you have huge suitcases to bring, it can be tiresome. Very thankful as well to the staff for providing recommendations. Shout-out to Julian (hope I was able to spell his name right) as he gave us options when we were not able to borrow an available adaptor, by suggesting to check Woolies' Metro nearby. It is our first time in Sydney and the universal travel adaptor that we have do not include the one for Australia. There are also other establishments available and some sites are reachable in a few minutes walk - Australia Museum, Sydney Eye, Hyde Park, and the majestic St. Mary's Cathedral. We will definitely be back! =)

Second time staying here. As the title of my review, it is still a very good place and very good value for money. I think I got upgraded (I think..). Booked a 1 bedroom executive apartment, but got a 2 bedroom instead, I I alternate sleeping in the bedroom when I was there(lol). It was room 601 which is opposite the Kingsway and to my surprise the noise level was very minimal. Shout out to housekeeping staff for not turning the AC after I've left the room for the day. There's only 1AC unit in the whole apartment. Where the unit is facing, it gets a lot of sun throughout the day. So if it was not turned on (like when I first checked in), the whole unit was like an oven. So I was dreading when I left for work the 1st day thinking I would come back to a sauna and had to wait a good couple of hours before the apartment cooled off. Crown Metropol/Palytime parking is just around the corner($16 per day per entry) if they don't have space on site ($25 per day unlimited entries)

We spend a few days around Australia Day in Sydney, we enjoyed the central location close to QVB and Darling Harbour where we enjoyed the most spectacular Australia Day Fireworks ever seen in our lives. The Hotel rooms are big, we had TV in our bathroom (what a nice decadence!, pleasant spa area with large swimming pool. A perfect holiday trip !

Our room was clean, spacious and well lit. I had a great nights sleep, the bed was very comfortable and we heard no noise during the night. We travelled by train and this hotel is directly across the road from Southern Cross Station. The tram stop was a 5 minute walk to Flinders St and we caught the tram directly to the venue we were attending and back. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to family and friends. Thanks for the excellent stay!

we booked a double bed with shared bathroom. this hotel is fancy and provides good value in sydney but has very small rooms. the location is probably the best you can find for the money. it's around the corner from oxford street so you get the amazing relaxed vibe and tons of food choices literally around the corner from your hotel. it's also a quick 3 minute walk to the train station. the rooms are very small but provide just enough room to place your bags down and unload your stuff. there's a balcony door but it opens only about 3 inches.... enough to provide circulation when needed. the ac and lights turn on only with your room key, and will turn off when you take the key out. the bathrooms are very clean and sanitary. there's 2 showers, 3 toilets, and 3 sinks. it doesn't seem like enough for the whole floor but they were surprisingly always available when we needed them. continental breakfast was included in our rate. reception was always courteous and kind. we asked about the weather forecast, good places to eat, internet cafes, laundry, and they always helped us out with a smile. we booked this hotel for the weekend of mardi gras thinking it'd be a good idea to be so close, but it turned out to backfire. the train station across the street was closed the evening of mardi gras so we had to get off at the museum station and walk to the hotel. unfortunately, a number of streets were blocked off in preparation of the parade and we walked what seemed like miles to get around the fences. this is the best value for the money and is in an amazing location. it's clean, sanitary, and in a good location.

Huge lockers were provided with mini desks next to bed with lights, electrical outlets and place to set drinks. The bedrooms had dark curtains and didn't feel cramped. The front desk was on top of all my email requests. No early check ins but that is just wishful thinking in Australia. Front desk could have been more helpful with providing area information on what to do for 8 hours while waiting for check in, but walking the streets in Melbourne was nice anyway. Wish they had told me about Eureka Skydeck would have done that, but otherwise good.

Truly reasonable price for what it gave us. Booked our car into carpark provided by apartments (very reasonable at $20 per day) - just had to ring them and wait in rear laneway to be swiped in. Minimum inconvenience for secure and cheap parking. Recommend it to families looking to experience Melbourne.

I had never been to Sydney before and needed a hotel where I could see the city life in safety and also to visit an old friend. Having lived and worked from my suitcase in the rural outback of Australia the Quest serviced apartments were an oasis. I was especially grateful for the self contained washing machine and dryer. I was treated as an important person. The design of the apartment had all of the facilities were of good quality. I especially liked the design of seperate room and lounge. The couch was comfortable, the bed enourmous comfort. The city life was a footstep away. The only difficulty was that the Taxi driver and my visiting friend had some problems finding the entrance way, and of dropping me off, as the location is on a small side street. However this also allowed privacy and safety. I would recommend this Hotel and would love to repeat my stay.

This was just the best ever. Our apartment was fantastic. Our view went right to Sydney centre. It was spotlessly clean. The staff were wonderful. Breakfast was terrific. Everything was just right. We almost always book with Agoda and I wish everyone would - I know from experience they source the best rooms in each establishment and their Specials are special.

Wanted to cut a lemon for my tea. :/ The washing machine was useful. Liked the luggage stand and loved the slippers. The slippers are in great quality as for temporary use slippers, may be even better then some 5 star hotels. I even took them to use ont my flight returning home. The staff was nice and friendly. After checking in at the reception, I went for lunch. I received a call from the hotel to inform me the room was ready and my luggage was placed in the room which is attentive as I mentioned I wanted to enter the room for a shower as soon the room is availble.

Excellent quality of food, the buffet breakfast was delicious, with everything included. Thank you & we will be back.

It's a pleasant surprise of staying in this apartment. Nice decoration, spacious flat, full kitchen and dining room, clean and conviniently located... We found so many good things about this apartment hotel. I have been to Australia 3 times and stayed in 10 hotels at least. It's the best apartment hotel so far.

But I thk must look at everything in perspective . The price is under $200 per night for a 2 bedroom apartment near the city, with this price I don’t expect hsekeeping service but they do change the towels although not tidy up the beds or the toilets. Everything in the apartment looks reasonable new and well maintained. It is clean and they have everything that is needed. The space is small and we are unable to place our big luggages in the room and had to use the living area. Getting in and out was easy. The manager is easy to reach within the working hours. We were on the 39 flr and corner unit. The view of sunrise fr the queen bed room was so lovely and at night it was literally like sleeping under the stars as the moon was shining directly on the bed. Will definitely recommend!

Stayed for one night. Free pick up from airport!!! Really nice and friendly staff. Rooms clean with AC and fan. Clean big kitchen. Everything you need. One of the best hostels I have ever stayed although I am traveling since almost 8 years. Thanks guys. Hope to see you soon!!

I stayed in a single room, which was the cheapest I could find in the entire state. The internet is excellent here, which is a huge plus and actually quite a rare find in Australia. The manager is extremely friendly and helpful, and gave me a lot of great advice when I first got here. There is a free CAT bus right outside the door, which can take you all over the city for free. The hostel is in a quiet location, away from the party scene (although it is still relatively close-by and easy to walk there if you want to go out), so you can get a good sleep every night. Bathrooms are clean. The room has everything I need: bed, closet/locker and a desk+ chair. I love everything about this hostel! When I am in Perth and need accommodation, I will always choose to stay here! Thank you to all staff who have made my stay wonderful <3

Spinners is definitely one of the best hostels in Perth. The downstairs area is well designed and thought out. The well equipped open kitchen blends into a modern, comfortable dining and lounge area, with big screen netflix, pool table and outdoor barbecue area. There is also a laundry, bathroom and storage area as well. Hostel staff mix with the guests to create a friendly, social atmosphere. Upstairs, the dormitories are fairly basic, with bunk beds and storage lockers. You do have individual power outlets. Some rooms have windows, others skylights. The bathrooms are kept clean and the showers are hot. There are many hostels in Perth, but the quality is below average. Spinners is a new entrant, trying to change that.

Arrived Christmas PM and left New Years AM. I loved the twin-bed room. Plenty of space for my gear, comfortable bed, my own fridge and basin. The aircon and ceiling fan were a treat. Room service did a great job. Being away from the shared bedrooms meant I got a straight sleep every night. Some noise did leak from Gilligan's party animals, but I slept very easily. Free wifi worked flawlessly for my entire 7 nights. The common area kitchen and showers/toilets were clean. The showers always had hot water. The kitchen had plenty of utensils, cups, bowls, dishes etc. The location was perfect. It was easy walking distance from the Night Market, The Esplanade and Cairns Central shopping centre. Best of all, I booked all my tours/activities through Caravella Central (was Corona Backpackers), and I got a discount on all of it! The staff are wonderful and I am so glad to have made new friends thanks to them. I don't care that it's not a hotel because it did everything I needed. Thanks!!!

I really enjoyed my stay here, relaxing in the hammock beside the pool and enjoying cheap happy hour beers. It's a close walk to everything in town, the markets, and the airport, it is a bit further to cable beach but the town bus is easy to use and there is a stop right around the corner

The Calypso has been by far the best hostel we have stayed in in Australia. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful (especially both Vee and Amy - you two rock!!). The atmosphere was great and the shuttle to and from the city was a nice added touch. Wake up calls were on time. Alcohol prices were very reasonable compared to local bars/pubs.

Only the wifi is lame, and you need to pay extra for this. The bathroom is inside each room which is nice. I also got room with balcony, and its pretty big balcony. It is good if you are a smoker. I think this is the best hostel in Cairns.

It is a good place in Sydney: cheap and good location. The kitchen in the evening is very dirty because the guys in the hostel they don't have any education about it. There is right that will be a fine of 50$ if you don't clean but at that time in the hostel there is any worker so no control. But all the rest is good and very nice atmosphere and the staff was very nice...

I have traveled around Australia and Tequila Sunrise is the most hospitable and friendly backpackers Hostel. You get free breakfast and evening meals on some nights. The meals are well organized to bring travelers together, creating a friendly, safe atmosphere and environment

Right near the shopping center for some cheap food. And a really nice crowd there too. Thank you for a great stay.

We booked a bunk room for 2 and this is definitely big enough for 2 people and a lot of luggage. A television was mounted at the wall and the beds were ready to sleep as we arrived. So you don't have to put the sheets or the pillowcase on it by yourself. A cotton towel was also included so I don't had to use my own one. Very nice if you leave early in the morning and the own could not dry anymore. The kitchen is good equipped and big enough. There are 4 or 5 stoves, so enough space for a lot of people to cook at the same time. There are some ovens as well. But the nicest thing which I've only seen in much more expensive hostels are - they have a very big freezer. The bathrooms are very clean and big. In total there was only one bad thing at the stay. A lot of hair in the blankets, really a lot!

Hostel is very clean !!!, infact so new that it smells it 🤣, there is VERY FAST wifi through out hotel can easy stream movies and download with zero issues. Hostel throw i think 2 bbq family meal night which is bbq and tasty ...they def not cheap when comes to food ...staff are cute and pleasant . i got say value for money and faculity this place is a no brainer !! yes it 20 min walk to town BUT THEY PROVIDE A HOURLY SHUTTLE ! ...come on. con : as much as this place new and comfy and value for money it does lack atmosphere or when i was there thats my only grief with ! there is bar crawl night but overall it more chill out and relax place.

Also the facilities are great. Pool, good laundry, big kitchen with everything you need, good space to let your food, and good rules to make everything clean. The only problem we had it was with parking. They have free parking which is rare and good for Perth, but they said that would have a maintenance and there were just 8 spots available. The funny thing is that there were no maintenance at all during the night and morning, a lot os cars still parked on there, and there were spots for buses who were empty, and we had to park on another street (not so far, but not so safe when you have a lot of things in your car). The location is ok, but not great. You can walk to the city but is almost 30min, but there bud nearby.

This place has a great location, that's true, right in the middle of the busy restaurant strip where you can get gelato from about50 different shops! Its across the road from the lagoon, and a easy walk to the wharf where all the tourist boats are. That's the good, the bad, although not so bad was I rocked up before their closing time and the door was locked. I had to ring to get the manager to let me in. The "ikea style" bed was falling apart, it was "fixed" with some milk crates, which was "ok", I hope they replace it. Lastly to finish on a good note we got an awesome discount on our reef trip, 20% cheaper than anyone else for the same tour, and it was great!

The property itself isn’t flash but the staff make up for whatever the place lacks in appearance. Shout out to Stu, the queen of hospitality, you are the best, thanks for being a huge help. Rooms are spacious, kitchen area is good for solo travellers to meet people, plus the little bar attached to the hostel is good fun.

Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to family and friends. Thanks for the excellent stay!

So far this is the best hotel we ever had although without breakfast provided.

If you’re looking to be more amongst the hustle and bustle then this might not be the place but it is SO EASY to get into the heart of surfers from this hotel. I would definitely recommend staying here even for an extended period of time. Will be back if I’m ever at the GC again. Thank you for having us.

Ibrahim of Melbourne One Front Desk was very accommodating as well. The place was clean, elevators were fast & we felt at home. There was just the noise from the construction area during our stay but all was good. The location is within the CBD Tram area which was very convenient for tourists. Take the Free Tram #58 from Lonsdale (3 stops away) or from Flagstaff (2 stops) to Queen Victoria Market. You can also walk to QVM from the hotel. You can also take the free tram to the shopping areas, Aquarium, Zoo and other tourists areas. Just across are Coles and Spencer Outlet, Southern Cross Station, restaurants and coffee shops are nearby. Cleaning service can only be availed if you stay for atleast 1 week but you can request for fresh towels and other needs, make sure to request at daytime to get it on the same day. Will definitely book here again!

Booking Veriu Central is one of the best decisions I have made during my preparation for our recently concluded trip to Sydney. The room rate is very reasonable given their location. It is located at CBD and is few blocks away from the tourist spots and restaurants. We were able to access lots of places by walking because of the strategic location of the hotel. The staff are very friendly and accommodating especially Ms Joy, a Filipina staff, who even went out of her way and shared some must visit sites and useful tips which came in handy during our trip. They do regular cleaning of the room and beddings as well as refills of the toiletries. The hipster vibe of the lobby and the minimalist design of the rooms were added bonus! I highly recommend booking of this hotel to those who are planning to visit sydney.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Southern Cross Atrium. The rooms were modern and well presented, with fully functioning kitchenette and all the pots and pans, cutlery and crockery you need. We overlooked the pool in Block 5 and, in our opinion, this was the best location out of all the blocks. Our balcony was a sun trap in the mid afternoon Sun and it was a pleasure to sit out and soak it all up. The rooms came with Austar and free to air channels, all with good reception. The aircon worked and didn't give you the sniffles, the room also had a ceiling fan. The bathrooms were comfortable and the hot water plentiful. The rooms weren't serviced unless you stopped for over 7 nights. But you were supplied with the cleaning utensils to keep the muck at bay. The bed was comfortable and large. Although, the pillows were a little on the hard and thin side. All windows and doors were meshed so, you could leave them open day and night long and noise wasn't really an issue. Be warned, internet is expensive so it may be better to get yourself a dongle from a local service provider. We did this throughout our Australia stay, it worked out much cheaper. The location was superb, with regards to shopping for food to cook yourself. Literally, next door, you have a huge shopping mall, with Coles and Bi-Lo Supermarket. And you are no more than about 4 blocks from the Esplanade. We couldn't fault this property and would definitely go back. We would also highly recommend to anyone thinking of stopping.

This is our last hotel for our Australia trip (Adelaide-Mt Gambier-Port Campbell-Philip Island-Melbourne). It is located at the CBD area of Melbourne. We have a pleasant surprice when we had our hotel room upgraded for free. It could be a recently renovated hotel as the buidling was old style but the interior is modern and clean. It is very close to the free tram down the road whereas the main bus and train station is diagonally opposite the hotel. We stayed for 2 days but on the last day, we had to leave at 6am to catch our airport bus by 6:30am. We informed the hotel and they packed the breakfast for us to collect at the counter before we check out. We are so grateful!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Having stayed at the other end of George Street before, my 16 year old daughter and I really enjoyed being close to the areas we wanted to visit. Very safe. Walking distance to Oxford Street, George Street & Paddys Market! We were so exhausted after shopping at Paddy's Market we got a taxi back -was only $7.00. Really enjoyed having a balcony. As a smoker this was a real bonus! Was nice to be able to open the sliding doors and let fresh air in. Was a good view as well -all the city night lights and from our room we could see the top half of the Opera House. Rooms are on the small side however have everything you would possibly need. Enjoyed having a bath however there was some mould around the bath. Could do with some exit mould! This is the first time we have used Agoda and must admit was a little dubious when I realised it wasn't operated through Australia however am truly impressed. There were NO dramas. Everything went to plan and am extremely impressed especially as it saved me a good $30 a night to book through Agoda compared to booking directly with the hotel! We ate at the restaurant for one evening meal. Was good service and food was fine. We went for the entree/main deal with was only $25.00. Enjoyed Prawn Cocktail and Beef Wellington. Thought this was good value. Could not complain. Overall - a good stay. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Definately would go back.

Guest laundry onsite excellent. Staff wonderful. Onsite Parking cheap as chips!! If you don't like paying the ridiculous prices most other properties in Perth are charging then the Ambassador Hotel is a great option. Will return, definitely.

I definitely recommend Palm Royale Cairns Resort! They have the best customer service I've experienced (and I've travelled a bit)! Prior to the trip, a family member became quite seriously ill and as a result, I had to forfeit my flight and only enjoyed 2 out of the 4 day's planned. However, much to my surprise, when I rang to ensure my final 2 night's accom. were still available, one of the hotel staff kindly offered not to incur any charges for cancelling the first two night's and even refunded the money, via Agoda, for the first two night's. I was able to enjoy two nights at the resort and was delightfully surprised at the standard of their pool view rooms - they were clean, comfortable and probably at a 4-star standard. one of the hotel staff was always helpful and went over and above to assist us with our enquiries. Overall, Palm Royale provided a great start to a lovely break in Cairns. Thanks to all the staff there!

I asked if possible for ocean view when we return in few days....well we were extremely happy to find out we had been given a upgrade to Penthouse for our 3 remaining days which was lovely as we were on birthday holiday. It was beautiful, very large, once again very comfortable beds and had everything there you could want. Bargain prices compared to other accommodation in area, supermarket & restaurants and bars 1 block away and a amazing view. Will definitely stay again next time I'm in Darwin. A+++

It is also annoying that the Mercure website advertises rooms from$ 152, but that was not available. I had booked there as part of a business group recommendation, and understood that we were getting a special deal. But apparently my secretary did not make the booking direct, instead through Agoda. Other hotels have also said they allocated the worst rooms to bookings through any of the sites like agoda, last minute, bookings.com etc. Even if they had better rooms empty. In fairness Mercure did give us a complimentary bottle of de bortoli wine, and a good bottle at that, not a cheapie

For those who are more interested in the city centre, it is a short stroll or the Blue Cat stop is just down the road if you prefer to use public transport. Thank you for an excellent stay.

Best of all, it's located right next to Queen Victoria market so great food available. Down the street near the hotel are also a number of great and cheap food options.

The only minor downside was access to the hotel. Access was mainly through Harvest street. Going to and fro from Fremantle town uses 2 slightly different ways. It would help greatly if the Hotel put up a big signage at the Harvest road turning. I missed the turning after dark. Aside from that minor nuisance, the hotel was nothing short of excellent. The front desk was very helpful notably to Lauren who helped us book a tour and picked us up from Northport even after her shift. I would recommend this hotel for small families with a car.

If you have a car, then this hotel's location is very convenient. On those busy days at the National Gallery of Australia, one could make a lovely walk to it and leave all your car problems behind. The walk would be quite lovely. The hotel is just starting to feel a bit dated - the elevators need a refresh as they feel like something from the 1990s. The plumbing on the 3rd floor makes some loud noises. The flat-panel TV remote has been overused over the years, and can be non-responsive. However, the good news is that the bathrooms look to be renovated and clean. The buffet is nice, but was expecting to see more non-western style menu items. But the quality of the items was very good.

Travelled with my parents and stayed in one room with a king sized bed. Probably wasn't the best arrangement i've chosen as we had to fit ourselves in one bed.

Great location, spacious room , fabulous bathroom & a big plus was the Club lounge access , pay the extra for this , you wont need dinner after the 2 hours you get in there , neither will you need a drink.

The Langham is the best hotel we have stayed at in Australia! Admittedly the Shangri La in Sydney has the view, but the Langham was better appointed, in a superb location to access Melbourne's CBD and south bank and the customer service was excellent. Literally everything about this hotel was quality.

Highly recommended this hotel. I’ve stayed two nights in this hotel during Christmas and Boxing Day. Walking distance to the CBD and shopping malls and publictransport. This made my shopping on boxing days and trips to other areas really convenient. I stayed in the twin room. The room is spacious and clean. Decoration is classic style. The staff are extremely fridendly and helpful. They drew on the maps to illustrate me the direction and the bus number. And tried their best to explain everythings in details. They are flexible with the checkout time and even helped me to print my travel documents. I want to give them a 6 star on staff if I can. The only downside is that the building is not tall enough campare with the other hotels around. It has a nice bar and swimming pool at roof top, but the view is not that great as it is blocked by the surronding buildings. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay for my Xmas holiday there. They deliver a top service. Yin

I had a memorable stay with Ifstays Light House. The location is so central. Basically, you can walk to Bourke street, QV Mall by foot within 10 mins. Both Winnie and Anna are very efficient and friendly. They took the patience to attend to my queries even before I arrived at the key collection place at Queen street. The key collection point was not far from the place where I stay. (less den 5 min walk) The only disappointment is the small flight of stairs upon entering the key collection point as it is quite difficult to carry up my heavy luggage and they only open at 9am. Hence, if you need to store your luggage earlier than 9 am, you may need to store your luggage at Southern Cross station as the only check in time is 2 pm. Nevertheless, the staffs were very kind to offer to help with my heavy and big luggages. They do provide me great information when I asked about the peak hour of the tram when returning to southern cross station. Room is spacious and clean. It could be better if there is a washing machine and a dryer for long stay guests (eg, more than 5 days stay so that we could do our laundry and buy more Australia fav goodies) Although, there is no washing machine, both Winnie and Annie did provide the nearest laundry shop which is located across the street of Queen Victoria Market. (Wash bar coin laundry - Highly recommended). Although some of the nights, I experience some weird door cracking sound inside the bedroom which is caused by the wind. The metal between the gap of the wall board would then bang with each other. It’s common situation depending on the windy level at nights. Hence, if you are a light sleeper, this could abit annoying. But, nevertheless, they do provide a cosy and comfortable bed! The pillows are soft but they do provide enough pillows if you are not comfortable with the soft ones. You will still fall asleep after getting used to the sound. Well overall, it is still a good and pleasant stay.

I was travelling alone to Sydney and decided to give this hotel a try, I have compared The Star to several hotels- narrowing 5 of the best 5-star hotels (review based) and although I find a better looking deals on the internet, I always come back to looking at booking at The Star because the pictures of rooms on their website are just stunning. I took my chance and hoped it is as good as the pictures shown. I arrived at the hotel then into my room, I was literally STAR struck. The whole space was stunning, the shower and bedroom is flawless! The staff service is impeccable. The hotel amenities are also great. The Star has almost everything you need, from top of the line shopping brands to award-winning restaurants. It's an oasis offering the very best of big city living. I highly recommend staying at The Star. Don't be discouraged with the reviews talking about the price because in the end you get what you pay for. And staying at The Star, every penny you pay for will be worth it.

Fraser Suites wrote to me about 3 days prior to the stay to inform me about the various check-in information and to ask me if i needed any special arrangements. Although it appeared like an automated email, it was nonetheless a pleasant gesture. As it turned out, i had intended to propose to my girlfriend (fiancée now) that first evening of our stay. Since they asked, i requested for the best room within the tier i booked (Studio Deluxe). The email was promptly responded to, and when i eventually checked in, i was pleasantly surprised that they had upgraded my room, which was somewhat larger and came with a beautiful view of the Swan River. The room was large, bright (thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows), clean, modern and really well-furnished (oven, stove, dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer). The indoor swimming pool was very welcome too, and it was co-located with a gym, a heated bubble pool and sauna. Location wise, it is right beside the parks along the banks of Swan River, and also a short walk to Heirisson Island where you get to spot Kangaroos. The city is a little farther out, and there are not too many eateries in the area though. Consider the bus or driving (ample lots) if you intend to tour around from here. A final word to the staff, thank you for the wonderful stay. Room cleaning was spotless, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It has been a memorable stay and we had a really pleasant engagement trip.

I booked a one night stay here for my birthday and I'm really happy I chose this hotel. I got a great deal: the Stay, Park and Play which included parking and breakfast. At check-in, the staff were lovely and upgraded my room to a park-view instead of a city side room. I had originally booked a king bed but the upgrade was a room with 2 singles. I called to enquire if housekeeping could remake the bed as one as I easily pushed them together but for some reason they couldn't. I don't really understand why not.. Also, the bath had some dirty marks around the outside and on the edge but apart from these two things everything else was great. The pool and spa facilities are gorgeous and the view is incredible. I do wish they were open a little later than 9pm but I enjoyed the time I had. The buffet breakfast was insane! I'm not usually worried very much with breakfast but as it was included, I decided to check it out. I'm so glad I did, it was SO good. So many healthy and decadent options, I can't speak highly enough about the variety and quality of what was on offer. I wish wifi was included in the rooms, but it's unfortunately pretty standard for it not to be in Sydney hotels. I hope this changes soon, we're very behind the rest of the world in this regard. Wifi was available in the lobby and where the breakfast buffet was, so I was able to use it then. I'll definitely be staying here again.

The hotel booking via Agoda was simple and, more importantly, the price was affordable. This is a five star hotel and I was staggered I could stay here for what I would pay for four star establishments or even less. I will definitely be using Agoda to book this hotel again. While I did not use many of the hotel's multiple amenities, it is clear that anyone could have an absolute wow of a time here.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Australia based entirely on comfort. While the location isn't super central, there is a generous litter of superb restaurants (Meatballs & Wine Co, Cumulus and Chin Chin just to name a few) and central city is in walkable distance. It is the second time we have stayed at this hotel - and mainly due to the impeccable room and services that we received the first time. It is a PERFECT getaway for a couple and six stars doesn't do it justice. The fact that you are far enough away from the main casino yet more than achievable walking distance is a huge plus. It is a PERFECT getaway for a couple and six stars doesn't do it justice. The fact that you are far enough away from the main casino yet more than achievable walking distance is a huge plus. The decor is magical and I truly feel as a Perth resident that I am in a different city when I stay here. The pool is incredible, the cocktail bar enticing and hours can be spent there in the lavish, art deco surroundings whilst sipping on beautiful cocktails and gourmet food. The buffet restaurant downstairs is a great breakfast/lunch or dinner and looks out over the pool. I just can't recommend this hotel enough. I plan on returning many times. For me, the beds in hotels HAVE to be good and the beds and pillows, bowling, and dressing gown make you feel as if you are in pure luxury. GO HERE!!

We stayed at the Larmont the previous year and we were impressed with the convenient location, and having entertainment, food and bars a stone-throw away. Having lived in Darlinghurst many years ago, this is a familiar location. However, the level of detail with the room and top notch service was an added bonus. This time, we returned to the Larmont and we managed to get an awesome room with views over the Sydney Harbour for three nights and we probably didn't utilise the room to its full potential, as we were out and about too much. But it was great to have one of the most comfortable beds in a hotel to come back to and wake up to blue skies and the view. The staff were international, super-friendly and able to connect to us immediately to talk about Portugal, Italy and their own travels around Australia. The other guests in the hotel were like-minded and we felt at home. We will be returning!

first of all... expensive parking charges even if you are staying at the hotel. its aud25 a day which is a bum. parking should be free for guest. this hotel is walking distance to everywhere, the beach, restaurants, shopping which is good. this hotel is also right in front of the casino so since australia closes their shops early, casino is probably the best nightlife ...

We stayed iin a studio suite which comes equipped with a kitchenette perfect for those who want to buy freash produce from Prahan Market across the street and cook up their own meals (the hotel does not provide any breakfast). The bedding is topnotch, so soft and comfortable and will suck you in all day if you let it. Toiletries are awesome and smell good. Best hotel I...

Best hotel I've stayed in Australia and well worth every penny spent. Will always be my first choice when I go to Melbourne in the future :)

The Branksome is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Beautifully appointed with everything you could possibly need, efficient and cheap shuttle service from the airport, great meals in the restaurant. Being smokers, we particularly appreciated the fact that smoking on the balcony was permitted. That is hard to find these days. This will be our only hotel ...
