Difficult to think about a better hotel in Sofia. Centrally located, within walking distance from all main attractions in town. The suite I took was simply wonderful, with at least 60 sq meters and with a suberb view of the cathedral.

We had booked a standard room for 80 Eur per night but receptionist recommended an upgrade for 40 Eur to executive floor which included breakfast (20 Eur pp) and free internet (10 Eur). Located right across plaza from opera house. Tickets easily available for Barber of Seville my first night. Ten minute walk to the beach. Nice hotel with lovely pool and big clean rooms ,had four nights here breakfast ok and two good restaurants close by and the staff are the best. Only downside for us was no car ,it’s a bit out of town and to far to walk .

This scores great when we talk value for money. It was my second visit. The owner is the nicest man in Bulgaria! On 1st visit he cooked me a fantastic meal, on 2nd I had to return to the UK urgently and he allowed me to store my car on his property, without this offer I would have been in a real mess.

The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet area close to sights and restaurants. This is a small guest house in the centre of Kalofer. Emilia and George are lovely people and the breakfast is second to none I have had in Bulgaria. Everything Emilia serves is home made. It was a wonderful stay in a junior suite in mid September. The weather was great, pool and seaside fantastic, food and amenities more than great. The best thing about the hotel is I think the location: it's very close from the new town of Sozopol, the beach & restaurants along the beach, but it's also on the edge of the main area. Nice room in a great old city location. The room was comfortable. The shared kitchenette is very small and there is no stove, only microwave. The owner is nice and brought out an electric tea kettle for us to use to boil water. The shared area was not heated so it was chilly. In our room there was an ac/heating unit do we could control the temperature.

The highlight of this stay was Evgeni and how he picked me up from the train station despite being delayed by around 1 hour, and how he treated me to an organic dinner and a local dish for breakfast. The town house is central to everything . The home is beautiful through out and super clean. Lovely views and everything you need . Easy access. We wound up here in off season and literally had the place to ourselves. We only interacted with the owner once by cell phone. We stayed on,y the one night the rooms are very dated but clean the hotel is not cheap in Bulgarian standards but the facilities made up for the dated decor. The breakfast was good but I would not use the hotel again having sampled many other hotels at a much cheaper rate and with better all round value for money.

The hotel is located far from facilities and too far (IMHO) to walk - also the road is dark and icy. Breakfast was a poor selection - we didn't even bother with the evening meal preferring to eat out side. I would rather stay close to bars/ restaurants than out in trees.

The family was very friendly. House was quiet and comfortable. Nice to use the small kitchen and eating area in the garden. Very close to access road for starting the Rila Seven Lakes. But it might be a little harder to find/ explore from here if you didn't have a car. Bathroom had a bit of a funky smell, but otherwise a nice place to stay. Great value for money....

Nice, small cosy hotel/guest house, good for small children with a lot of toys and nice playgrounds. The rooms were clean, staff was incredibly friendly and polite! Stayed one night. Not too far from town centre, host was friendly and recommended a good restaurant for dinner, as well as arranging transfers. No lift, so moving luggage was slightly troublesome (pack light), and layout of hallways is slightly confusing. Worth it for the mountain town feel.
