Cumulus is always great choice in city center. Cumulus includes great breakfast and comfortable sleep. Rooms are very basic, and a bit small. Staff is always great; smiling and responding well to discussions with the customers. I can recommend this for few nights. Longer stay may be a bit boring.

Best hotel in lapland I will try to visit here again

The staff in Hostel Villa Kemi were extremely friendly and helpful. As our luggage was lost by the airline in transit, the staff from Hostel Villa Kemi took the initiative to Google the opening times of the sports store, clothing store and supermarket to ensure that we could purchase the necessary clothing.

One needs to take a 10-15 min uphill walk to another "Sky Hotel" before attempting to catch the aurora borealis. You get what you pay for. Location to other activities in Rovaniemi (food, safaris, shopping, museum) requires another 20-30 min walk to the town centre - or a 9eur cab ride. Wifi in the other building (not the facilities block) is extremely poor.

The apartment is great for group of friends or family, nicely furnished with all necessary cooking utensils. It is a bit far from the city centre, but with shuttle bus service which made it easy to access to downtown. As it is away from city, likely to see northern light and we really saw it just outside the veranda !!

From the airport: the best is to take an airport taxi to the hotel, it will cost you 14€. With the bus it should cost you 4€, but time is much longer and need to make a stop at the center of Tampere.

This hotel is about 700 km from St Petersburg, a convenient stop place if you travel up north. There are several rooms in several separate houses and a huge former school building in which we have stayed. This gives this hotel some unique character and makes it a cool place to stop at. Hotel Koli made me feel like home, only more pampering :) The staff's approach is a great combination of friendliness, care and casualness. The spa experience is well designed and luxurious. The little extra services of the hotel are joyful. And of course, the whole thing is set in the middle of one of the most unique and historical nature attractions in Finland.
