“1K Hotel was a great hotel in Paris, especially with all the amenities and modern decor. My only caveats with this hotel would be 1) the service from the attached restaurant 2) the maid service and 3) the television. When we went to the restaurant to ask what the vegan/vegetarian options were (as we booked this hotel specifically because there were noted options) the hostess was downright rude. I don't think she understood what we were asking, but rather than try to help or understand, she simply said "no" and walked away. We were shocked. Secondly, we put a Do Not Disturb sign on our door for the four night, five days we were here. On the fourth day, we were in our room and heard a banging at the door. It was the maid and she kept banging until we let her in and she started cleaning! Finally, we had issues with the movies on the TV that front desk couldn't help with and said was broken. Tons of free movies to watch and none could be played.”

“This is a wonderful hotel to stay at for a honeymoon, featuring some of the best service I have ever experienced. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The room, while not large, was well lit, well furnished, with a very comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. The hotel also provides free wifi at your request (although at the price you pay to stay in the first place, it's not exactly easy to consider it "free"). A great hotel that I would heartily recommend to honeymooners and anyone planning a romantic getaway.”

“I can't say enough good things about Hotel Gavarni, truly. This was my second time in Paris and when I travel I almost always stay in a hostel because I'm barely in the room and have a tight budget - but this time I decided to stay in a hotel since I was travelling with a friend. I wanted something close to the Eiffel Tower since that's our main attraction and we'll likely return there everyday anyway. I wasn't sure how close Hotel Gavarni would be to the tower but let me tell you, it is RIGHT THERE. It's about one block away form the Trocadero, you walk up a small hill and then through a tiny round about and then the street is on the right. It's also like 2 minutes away from Passy station on the 6 ligne, which is very convenient. The room was BEAUTIFUL, they actually ungraded us for no reason which was amazing. We could see the tower from our room! We had a breakfast nook, a balcony with big windows that open, and everything you could want in a cute parisian hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They all speak English and French. BOOK THIS NOW!”

“The hotel also has a great amount of history and heritage behind it which is then translated and reflected into the look and feel of the rooms. The lobby, paintings and fireplace are excellent features as well. Enjoyed the closeness to the vast number of restaurant on the Champs Elysee as well as the RER service. The hotel could perhaps look into making free wifi available in the rooms as opposed to just the lobby area. This is usually market practice for five star hotels internationally.”

The staff are friendly and they provide free hot water since there is no kettle in the room. I had a very pleasant stay. You could walk 10 mins to Galleries Lafayette. “Love this staff, all rockstars. Helpful and super friendly. This was my general experience in France, but it was even more so at this hotel. The room was small, like most hotels, and besides the very stylish decor (which I love), the layout was so good that it felt twice as large as it looked. Meaning we were easily able to get stuff out of our way and relax. Great bathroom and amenities. Super good looking lobby and stairs. Also, it smells great there. They have a branded set of scents and they where very pleasing. (Of course that’s a matter of taste) Great coffee shops, Monop, and IKEA near by so some cheap necessities. Overall I was very happy with every aspect of the stay. I didn’t have breakfast, but it looked like it would be good. Even the 2 star hotels had the best croissants.”

“Loved this hotel. From the minute we stepped through the doors, the staff where very friendly and helpful. Room was huge with a separate bedroom for our grandson (free upgrade) and very clean and well presented. Our grandson loved the pirate theme. Continental breakfast had such a big choice, and was replenished constantly so was very fresh, even had freshly cooked 'full english' for a small charge although we didn't have it as was too full with what was on offer. Play area and swimming pool were excellent and kept everyone entertained before and after a busy day at Disney , which was only a short drive or free transfer away. Would definitely book this hotel again. Thank you explorer .”

“The hotel is located within walking distance of the louvre museum. There is also a supermarket, money changer and lots of cafes around the corner. The room is quite small which they say is typical of paris hotels but nicely decorated. There is even an espresso machine! Breakfast was the best! There is also a rooftop with lots of chairs wherein you can relax.😊 The only drawback is that one of the staff at the lobby was kind of a snob.”

“Via a booking site, I always state my needs, eg whether I'm arriving early, etc. In most cases, these requests seem to be ignored by the hotels, and so I have to mention them again upon arrival. For this hotel, they didn't ignore the request. We requested for early check-in, not expecting too much, as we arrived Paris a little past 8am, and just hoped for a bit earlier than normal check-in time. We already planned to just drop our bags first, have breakfast, a bit of sightseeing and go back to hotel for an earlier check-in. We were very delighted that upon arrival we were told that our room is ready so we can rest after our long trip ! The reception is also very warm, I always like staff who are smiling, and they helped us with our bags. And best of all, our room was upgraded ! Location wise, the hotel is very near the metro, and also just about 10 minutes walk to La Fayette Galeries, and Opera. It's about 20 minutes walk to Louvre. The surrounding of the hotel is quiet as it's near office buildings, but still easy to move around because of the metro. There's a very nice small restaurant at ground floor which prepares fresh pizza in less than 10 min, and many other restaurants around. The best thing about this hotel are the staff -- they're all very warm and very accommodating, and knows our needs.”

“20 years ago, my wife visited Paris for one day trip from London. She did not stay overnight. This year, we planned for our visit to this city for vacation & shopping. I was not interested in that but wanted to visit some iconic landmarks in Paris & spend some times in the Grand Mosquee of Paris. We also need to find halal food in Paris. So our itinerary coverage in Paris was large; from Belleville to Centre of Pompidou to Grand Mosquee to Champ Ellysee to Eiffle Tower, all within 4 days. Since we never experienced staying in Paris, our decision in choosing hotel is quite blur. After considering the coverage we need to do, we decided to stay as close to transport interchange station because we need to jump to Metro as fast as we can....and the hotel must be cheap but comfortable, sounds too good to be true. We came across Le Hotel de Normandie in Agoda, low price hotel, good location & the room looks good in the picture. So we booked. The moment we checked in, we knew that we made the right choice. The staff is friendly with english speaking, the Metro station is so closed that as if it's part of the hotel & the room is so carefully finished with good material (the sanitary fittings brand is Grohe) & the bed is so comfortable. What else can we say about this hotel....it's simply brilliant choice. I would highly recommended to all travelers. A few things though, you need to bring your own mug because the hotel does not provide, but they have kettle. Ask for room facing St Lazarre for some good view, but the window is not sound proof, so a bit noisy at night. Expect the room small but for moslem there are space for pray. No halal food around, you need to travel to Belleville to find one. All in all.....book this hotel while it's still cheap and have a nice day”

“Within 15mins walk from Esplanade de la Defense station on Metro Line 1(Yellow Line)- easy for transport and the same line that has most of Paris' attractions and just changing at CDG Etoile you can go to other tourist transactions within average travel time of 35-40mins from the hotel including the walking. The staff was friendly and welcoming,does not speak good english but very helpful. The room is big and clean,you can use the kitchen which is a big thing for us as we were trying our best to enjoy paris without spending loads. You can cook breakfast and dinner in the kitchen as you would probably be outside for lunch most of the time. It is safe as only guests or tenants with the Card can access the rooms,the kitchen, the swimming pool,the gym(no free weights),the laundry,the cafe. One thing we were not happy was NOT regarding the staff or hotel but with one of the tenants on our floor who also uses the same kitchen that we use. He looked asian,chinese probably(without being racist,just basing on how he looks)- we were not expecting french people to be very friendly as what our tour guide told us but he was just disturbing in the sense that he was banging every thing he was using while preparing his food. He was banging the cupboards, the utensils,everything! which was annoying and shows deep lack of consideration for others like us who was in the kitchen at the same time. We have met other tennants using the same kitchen and they were all nice especially the black couple( again not being racist) who were always smiling and always says hi every time we were all in the kitchen. The toilet and shower were good and functioning well. Noise was not an issue except for when the opposite door opens or closes you can hear and feel your own door vaccuums and makes a noise but all in all, I would still definitely recommend this hotel.”

“Despite making a last minute reservation to stay at Madeleine Plaza Hotel, our booking via Agoda was immediately attended to by the hotel staff ( I had sent them a chaser e-mail immediately because it was last minute). Our check-in was seamless and they were kind enough to allow us to check-in early after our long flight. Also, we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded. The room, although slightly small (you'll be hard pressed to find large hotel rooms in Paris), was neat and tidy and had a beautiful view facing the Madeleine Cathedral. Only criticism of the room would be that the TV lacked English channels, but then again who would want to watch TV in Paris?? Hotel staff were always friendly, polite and ever willing to help. Of course, to top it off, the location can't be beaten, a short walk away from Place De La Concorde, The Louvre and the Opera Garnier, with loads of eateries and shopping options within walking distance as well. Overall, a highly recommended hotel.”

“i booked a double room (single large bed) but got a twin room (2 single beds) instead. didn't request for an exchange as the hotel seems to be fully booked and i couldn't be bothered with the request. ignoring the above, hotel is fantastic, breakfast spread is good, location is good, accessibility to central Paris is good as it's next to the Metro. however, getting cabs here would be a fair challenge as many drivers don't seem to know how to navigate themselves here. nonetheless, 4.5 out of 5 stars, just for quality of hotel alone!”

I was finding it my way on foot, and when i arrive nearby with many suitcase, a staff came up to me and ask if i am staying in their hotel, i was very suprise, i am on my 12days trip in france and from what i heard the people in france is not very friendly, but it was only rumours, the rooms i was staying had a bath, the interior was extermely amazing, and it is very near to the arc. the price are un-beatable. if i come to frace again, i wuld pick this hotel. the only drawback is that the wifi is very slow, and if u want high-speed, u need to pay extra, obviously i didnt. btw, i am an asian and i love this hotel, with its reasonable price and very good service. 我是中国来的旅客， 这个酒店真的很不错， 我试过别的酒店，根本不是这回事，价格很合理，服务很好，和位置真的很不错”

The door of our first room was not working properly but the problem was rectified immediately and we were immediately given a new room. “The overall stay was quite enjoyable. When we arrived I found out that we had only booked a double room and we were traveling with our four year old so the hotel upgraded our room to a suite with a pullout bed which was great because the room was much bigger. I had read some whining about the hotel in some reviews before I went there but I found it hard to see where the complaints were coming from. It is a very big hotel so of course you won't get the care and attention of a boutique hotel or B&B but the staff were very friendly and helpful. The wifi was said to only be for two hours but I went to the front desk to ask about this and you can actually just log back in after the two hours and keep going which was one of the complaints that I had read. Also make sure to bring your speedos if you plan to swim as it is apparently the law in France that you must wear them. I was able to go around the corner and buy a pair from the swimming pool for 11 Euros. Make sure to save time for breakfast as the buffet is quite nice, my daughter enjoyed this every morning. The train station is only a few minutes walk but I found that the bus, which was only 5 minutes away as well, was much much more convenient. Speak to the concierge for directions as they were very helpful, even tried to find me a place to rent or buy a stroller as my daughter was finding it hard to keep up with all the sightseeing.”

“Apart from the early slight inconvenience of the taxi not being able to find the hotel (we end up being dropped off nearby and having to walk to look for the hotel) and some noise from construction work outside the hotel in the early morning and late night revelers, I am pleased with my choice. Ref finding the hotel, it would have helped if on booking, there were instructions to us on how to locate the hotel. I had a apartment for 4 of us and it was adequate with a double bed and a fantastic sofa bed for 2. Room cleaning was not the best I have come across but adequate. More importantly, for non french speaking visitors like myself, the hotel staff well helpful, fully conversant in English and helped in giving directions to the metro and areas of interest. Its also walking distance to the Lourve museum. Little touches like readily available hot beverages in the lobby area are fantastic coming back into the hotel after a day out in the cold in December. Availability of food is not an issue as there are many restaurants to choose from nearby the hotel.”

“I stayed in Hotel Ozz as a single female traveller for 5 nights. It was the best decision I ever made. With the option of female only dormitories, I met lots of other female travellers and had a great holiday. The beds also had draw-around curtains and a light and powerpoint at each bed, making them private and comfortable. The hostel itself was clean, bright and welcoming, encouraging you to stay around the common area. I can't recommend it highly enough. Stay at this hostel!”

“Well, this was a first for us - staying in hostel-type accommodation. Our ensuite double room, in an adjacent block which was formerly a 2 star hotel, didn't have the best of views but then we were only in it to sleep and shower. In the hostel building itself you'll meet people from all over the world (young and not so young). The staff are very helpful and friendly, and they are in the process of doing up the building so maybe it'll be fantastic in a few months' time ...”

“We booked here for our first night before we started the Camino and it was the perfect place to start from. It was a little bit out of town but it was nice to have that little bit of a head start and sleep in. The family that runs it are absolutely amazing and lovely. We had the best stay! I would love to come back and just stay for a few days because it was so friendly, homey and inviting. We had a lovely dinner around there family dining room table with wine and a warm fire. Their little boy is beautiful and such a sweetie. This is a must stay if your in St Jean pied de port. Can't recommend them enough!!! You guys are the absolute best.”

“As a solo traveler - and a first time traveler at that - I was really anxious about my visit overall. Within 4 hours of being at the hostel though - I was instantly welcomed by a friendly staff and people who were inviting. The hostel is also located super close to the metro - allowing me to get to where I want to go with ease. While the place itself was nice, the best part of St. Christophers Canal Hostel was the amazing staff. Hope to visit again really soon and make valuable friendships.”

“So, separate bathrooms per dorm, which is great, but their shower faucets are this weird automatic shutoff type. Think the type you find on a sink in a public bathroom. Also they're toilet paper comes in sheets instead of rolls. Willing to overlook all of that though because of the AC and bathrooms in every dorm. But their Wi-Fi *sucks*, it will work for like 10 seconds at a time, then switch off for 30. I suspect it's too many people for the connection they have.”

“While travelling with a rented car being continously on-line is difficult. After making the reservation for Chamonix Lodge we did not have any internet access and the access information for the door was received some time after checking out. Fortunately the door was kept open by other guests and we could use the booked room. The information in the room was clear, we do not need to see any staff of the hotel. And this was the way the room (No 2 in Mammoth Lodge Building) was looking alike. The electric heater in the room was not working and the (armatures) in the bathroom were worn out as in all cheap hotels. Luckily, I found a grip in the car to switch the water flow from tap to shower, otherwise we would have taken a shower by lying on the bottom of the bathtub under the tap. The WiFi information was correct and we were able to connect, but phone and computer told us "no internet access". I agree, the price was cheap for accommodation in Chamonix, but previous visitors who rated this property as good have either stayed in better rooms or are used to sleep in youth hostels or at a camping ground. For us this accommodation was substandard. I would recommend to agoda to check accommodation in this price range regularly and not rely on customer comments only.”

“I arrived at Gare du Nord train station, Paris from the CDG airport (easy - phew!) and found that St Christopher's Inn was easy to find once you navigated yourself out of the station and found your bearings on Rue de Dunkurque (walk towards the post office). Although I arrived early they were very friendly and offered me a shower to freshen up and (paid) lockers to hold my stuff until 2pm check in. If you forget anything like a towel (whoops!), you can rent one for the length of your stay as well as buy other basic essentials. I found the staff very informative, spoke English well and tried their best to accommodate my every need. The room (6 mixed dorm) and bed linen were really clean (amazing doona!), warm and secure. You also got a massive drawer to lock your stuff in under your bunk. The showers were good but the cleaning agent/or disinfectant in the showers/communal bathroom was pretty stinky?! I also found it difficult to keep pressing the shower button whilst having a shower due to a neurological disorder in my arm but I managed. They were of a decent size so you could get changed in the cubicle without getting your clothes wet. The food at night was good (I'm a vegetarian - burger pattie was really dry) but not fantastic. The continental breakfast was on the other hand great and good quality! Baguettes, cheese, cereal, coffee, juice, etc. nice. I also used the laundry facilities up stairs (about 5 Euro wash and dry), which was good. Overall my stay there was great and will stay there again en route back to Oz. Can't really fault anything of locker, towel rent and laundry costs as well as stinky bathrooms but otherwise the location is pretty darn awesome! Thanks guys and gals. Looking forward to seeing you all again!! Oh and the free day tour with Roberta through Paris is so worth it!! Just rug up and don't drink too much coffee beforehand (no toilets!! ha!).”

“The dorm room had 5beds and lockers (take your own padlock) and a bathroom. A lovely housekeeper came in each day and cleaned them. Make sure that you book ahead the days that you want to stay and don't leave it until the last minute or you may have to find elsewhere. I sense that this is based on the price that you pay somehow (which changes). You could pay between Au $25-50+. Something that isn't related to the hostel: a German backpacking couple (who weren't happy when I arrived to shatter their privacy in the dorm room) decided that they would sleep together on the top bunk.. No too bad until they decided they might like to have sex in it in the morning. I growled at them to get a private room, and they left without saying a word to me (talking to each other about finding their receipt. And didn't come back to the room Overall, the stay at the hostel was great. I was able to cook a meal, have a hot shower (hand-held shower in a bath-tub). Aircon as well as a window and curtains. The place was really clean. The staff are attentive and actually give a damn. When I had to leave because I hadn't booked far enough ahead, (even though it didn't look booked out on the internet) they referred me to their sister hostel (Vintage Hostel, audio a really nice place) a couple hundred meters away (which looked booked out on the internet.. Thank you Julien who arranged a good price there for me for the first night!). At Smart Hostel, The common area is quite small. It's close to Gare du Nord Metro station. Very close to Sacre Coeur and walkable to other major attractions. Plenty of places to eat and supermarkets around. There is a library of books to read. The place is comfortable and well looked after. I know that I already mentioned it, but the staff are truly attentive and will do what they can to help and answer questions (a bonus these days)”

“You get what you pay for with this hostel. This is not a hotel, so don't expect room service, TV in your room,or other facilities.Location is good, easy to find, near a Metro, but noisy. That's Paris for you. Entrance is through a bar, no lift or escalator, narrow staircase to rooms, so if you can't manage stairs, reconsider. My room was on 6th floor, very small room, painted purple, no table or chair, small shower. Bed linen & towels clean, but I got an allergic reaction from something in Paris, maybe not in hostel, but I came out in painful, itchy red blocthes. Welcome to Paris. Staff were friendly, & spoke English. Room had a card to unlock door, so security ok. Paris is expensive, & affordable rooms are hard to find, and book up in advance, so consider this hostel if you are on a budget, or last minute traveller, but bear in mind the stairs, & small room size.”

“This hotel is in the Montmartre area which is great especially if you are a first time visitor to Paris and you'd like to cross Montmartre and Sacre-Couer on your list of places to visit. The room-- We booked an eco double room and please note that this room will be a bit cramped. No AC unit either. We were there in the summer during the heatwave and boy was it stifling. But luckily, the hotel had a fan to lend us. Though small, it was very clean. There's a sink in the room. Showers and toilets were shared. If I'm not mistaken, the toilet is shared for two floors. They can arrange airport transfers for 18 euros per pax, which is a really good price considering how Uber expensive can get. All in all, we were very pleased with the hotel and would recommend it.”

“cool place to stay. nice English speaking receptionists. U can't check in early, but they let u keep ur luggage safely in store if you come early. there is even bathrooms downstairs for you to freshen up and lobby to chill around while check in yr room. room is comfortable and quite spacious. toilet is Chilean and spacious too. although they mention it is mixed room, they try their best to segregate the males from females. got lockers inside the room, although you need to bring your own lock. and power points is allocated for each bed. do not worry about getting a eu standard power plugs cause they provide usb charging points.. the access cards didn't work one time because of electromagnetic interference from my phone. so you might want to keep that safely tucked away from ur mobile. but even if there is a problem, they will give you another card. overall, I got nothing to complain. it was a great stay”

“Loved the location. Few minutes walking distance from line 2 metro, Anvers station. 3 minutes walk up the hill is Sacre Coeur. Given the cheap price, it was good to stay for a night and take a bus # 54 ( less than 10 minutes) to Gare du EST train station for early morning train. It worked out for us. I emailed several months ahead and asked for the room ( double room)with the Sacre Coeure view just like the photo of their web site, but they gave us a tiny room with no view. I was traveling with my husband. A young man at front desk from night till morning was very kind. Tiny room, tiny bathroom, inconvenient not having wall outlet near mirror for my hair dryer. How do you do your hair without mirror? Their hair dryer in the bathroom was like vacuum. I’ve seen this kind of dryer twice in France so far. No mini fridge in a room but I put my cold drink in their communal kitchen refrigerator. You put you name and room number on clear plastic bag and put your stuff in it.”

“Very easy to reach this hostel if to know this one is located opposite metro station exit (sortie). There is no need to ask. Otherwise you can miss it. Corner brassery "Barbès" is the main place to orient oneself and to take a cup of tasty espresso. If you walk little bit further 30m parallely train route along arabian cafes you will discover Jacobs Inn!. I recommend to take a hairdresser with you and towel if your check in will be late. There is Tati shop to buy all needed.Nice supermarket Carrefour is in 15 min away. Friendly staff in general can help if you have some questions. Wi -fi is ok. Breakfast is a plus. Your way takes 20 min by foot if to go to Sacre Coeur.No need to pay tax 8euro per night if you prepay it by credit card:-)”

“I thought the hostel is small but this hostel is so big and lively. Moreover, the location is also nice. I was able to go to everywhere from the nearest station, colognel fabien. “I highly recommend l'hôtel la Belle Meunière! The staff is very friendly and service minded and the room was nice and clean. I stayed in a room with three other people and we had our own bathroom. The room was cleaned every day. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom and shower worked very well and we had a nice air conditioner in the room. Me and my friend spend several evenings in the nice courtyard, under the flowering trees. I will definitely come back!”

The best part is that they provide a safe for you to keep your things in a city like Paris, you will not want to bring all ur valuable stuff with you. The breakfast was good. A small miscommunication happen where by i initially wanted to book a taxi for the next morning for I'm catching a bus to Amsterdam but one male worker told me need not worry, I can just call 1 hour prior going to the bus station. “This is a wonderful hotel to stay at for a honeymoon, featuring some of the best service I have ever experienced. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The room, while not large, was well lit, well furnished, with a very comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. The hotel also provides free wifi at your request (although at the price you pay to stay in the first place, it's not exactly easy to consider it "free"). A great hotel that I would heartily recommend to honeymooners and anyone planning a romantic getaway.”

The lobby, paintings and fireplace are excellent features as well. Enjoyed the closeness to the vast number of restaurant on the Champs Elysee as well as the RER service. The hotel could perhaps look into making free wifi available in the rooms as opposed to just the lobby area. This is usually market practice for five star hotels internationally.”

“Really nice hotel in a great position for central nice and the old town. Excellent staff. My only criticism is that the indoor pool was not heated anything like enough. It needs checking daily and adjusting when necessary. It is not the point that it’s connected to the outdoor via a plastic cover and that’s why it cold. It simply needs turning up the heat to make like you would expect from a heated indoor pool. On our last visit we stayed at the boscolo extra autograph hotel which is the Hyatt’s competitor. Their pool was properly heated. Please review this as it was one of the main reasons we chose the Hyatt. But the pool was too cold to enjoy.”

“Rooms are small, but they are the same everywhere in Paris. The decor is beautiful, neatly done rooms. Looks like it has been refurbished recently. Bathrooms are also small but functional. Only thing missing is a tea and coffee maker in the room. The rooms also have AC, which a lot of hotels do not have.The concierge was not the best we have had, was suggesting places more for the commission.”

“This is 5 star hotel and there is no hot water in the evening. We stayed 6 nights prepaid. First two nights on 6th floor we had to endure cold showers then we were moved to 4th floor and two out of four final nights luke warm showers. We are unsure if lower floors 1-3 are also affected. Pleasant but inane front desk and management excuses, but no recompense. Their response is that hot water takes longer to get to higher floors (wait 5 minutes) but on those occasions it just didn't arrive. We have no idea why hot water is good in the morning. Management admit ageing plumbing infrastructure in old Haussmanian building and hotel was full.”

Our three day visit was absolutely enhanced by the willingness of all staff to provide first class service from the moment we arrived-although I had booked our Deluxe room on line we were shown 3 available options each with a different configuration from which to choose-impressive! The original interiors comprise a pure yellow & navy palate throughout all corridors-the guest rooms are stunning, seemingly with a Shanghai/Moroccan inspired mix of chartreuse black & gold textures, tiles & furnishings-all in complete contrast to the more understated exterior image of Paris. The two main restaurants provide prompt service with fabulous cuisine. If not breakfasting at the Hotel a marvelous Cafe directly opposite is open 7am til late-And should a Parisian coiffure be desired, the BB's recommended stylist is a 3 minute walk away.”

“I stayed in an executive room for 2 nights. I found the room small for an executive room and the carpet was stained. For a 5 star hotel I had to carry own bag to my room. On the plus side the location is great and saved a lot on taxis. The is a metro station close by which we found great and definitely the best way to travel around Paris ”

“1K Hotel was a great hotel in Paris, especially with all the amenities and modern decor. My only caveats with this hotel would be 1) the service from the attached restaurant 2) the maid service and 3) the television. When we went to the restaurant to ask what the vegan/vegetarian options were (as we booked this hotel specifically because there were noted options) the hostess was downright rude. I don't think she understood what we were asking, but rather than try to help or understand, she simply said "no" and walked away. We were shocked. Secondly, we put a Do Not Disturb sign on our door for the four night, five days we were here. On the fourth day, we were in our room and heard a banging at the door. It was the maid and she kept banging until we let her in and she started cleaning! Finally, we had issues with the movies on the TV that front desk couldn't help with and said was broken. Tons of free movies to watch and none could be played.”

“The hotel is located within walking distance of the louvre museum. There is also a supermarket, money changer and lots of cafes around the corner. The room is quite small which they say is typical of paris hotels but nicely decorated. There is even an espresso machine! Breakfast was the best! There is also a rooftop with lots of chairs wherein you can relax.😊 The only drawback is that one of the staff at the lobby was kind of a snob.”

“Via a booking site, I always state my needs, eg whether I'm arriving early, etc. In most cases, these requests seem to be ignored by the hotels, and so I have to mention them again upon arrival. For this hotel, they didn't ignore the request. We requested for early check-in, not expecting too much, as we arrived Paris a little past 8am, and just hoped for a bit earlier than normal check-in time. We already planned to just drop our bags first, have breakfast, a bit of sightseeing and go back to hotel for an earlier check-in. We were very delighted that upon arrival we were told that our room is ready so we can rest after our long trip ! The reception is also very warm, I always like staff who are smiling, and they helped us with our bags. And best of all, our room was upgraded ! Location wise, the hotel is very near the metro, and also just about 10 minutes walk to La Fayette Galeries, and Opera. It's about 20 minutes walk to Louvre. The surrounding of the hotel is quiet as it's near office buildings, but still easy to move around because of the metro. There's a very nice small restaurant at ground floor which prepares fresh pizza in less than 10 min, and many other restaurants around. The best thing about this hotel are the staff -- they're all very warm and very accommodating, and knows our needs.”

“20 years ago, my wife visited Paris for one day trip from London. She did not stay overnight. This year, we planned for our visit to this city for vacation & shopping. I was not interested in that but wanted to visit some iconic landmarks in Paris & spend some times in the Grand Mosquee of Paris. We also need to find halal food in Paris. So our itinerary coverage in Paris was large; from Belleville to Centre of Pompidou to Grand Mosquee to Champ Ellysee to Eiffle Tower, all within 4 days. Since we never experienced staying in Paris, our decision in choosing hotel is quite blur. After considering the coverage we need to do, we decided to stay as close to transport interchange station because we need to jump to Metro as fast as we can....and the hotel must be cheap but comfortable, sounds too good to be true. We came across Le Hotel de Normandie in Agoda, low price hotel, good location & the room looks good in the picture. So we booked. The moment we checked in, we knew that we made the right choice. The staff is friendly with english speaking, the Metro station is so closed that as if it's part of the hotel & the room is so carefully finished with good material (the sanitary fittings brand is Grohe) & the bed is so comfortable. What else can we say about this hotel....it's simply brilliant choice. I would highly recommended to all travelers. A few things though, you need to bring your own mug because the hotel does not provide, but they have kettle. Ask for room facing St Lazarre for some good view, but the window is not sound proof, so a bit noisy at night. Expect the room small but for moslem there are space for pray. No halal food around, you need to travel to Belleville to find one. All in all.....book this hotel while it's still cheap and have a nice day”

“Despite making a last minute reservation to stay at Madeleine Plaza Hotel, our booking via Agoda was immediately attended to by the hotel staff ( I had sent them a chaser e-mail immediately because it was last minute). Our check-in was seamless and they were kind enough to allow us to check-in early after our long flight. Also, we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded. The room, although slightly small (you'll be hard pressed to find large hotel rooms in Paris), was neat and tidy and had a beautiful view facing the Madeleine Cathedral. Only criticism of the room would be that the TV lacked English channels, but then again who would want to watch TV in Paris?? Hotel staff were always friendly, polite and ever willing to help. Of course, to top it off, the location can't be beaten, a short walk away from Place De La Concorde, The Louvre and the Opera Garnier, with loads of eateries and shopping options within walking distance as well. Overall, a highly recommended hotel.”

“i booked a double room (single large bed) but got a twin room (2 single beds) instead. didn't request for an exchange as the hotel seems to be fully booked and i couldn't be bothered with the request. ignoring the above, hotel is fantastic, breakfast spread is good, location is good, accessibility to central Paris is good as it's next to the Metro. however, getting cabs here would be a fair challenge as many drivers don't seem to know how to navigate themselves here. nonetheless, 4.5 out of 5 stars, just for quality of hotel alone!”

I was finding it my way on foot, and when i arrive nearby with many suitcase, a staff came up to me and ask if i am staying in their hotel, i was very suprise, i am on my 12days trip in france and from what i heard the people in france is not very friendly, but it was only rumours, the rooms i was staying had a bath, the interior was extermely amazing, and it is very near to the arc. the price are un-beatable. if i come to frace again, i wuld pick this hotel. the only drawback is that the wifi is very slow, and if u want high-speed, u need to pay extra, obviously i didnt. btw, i am an asian and i love this hotel, with its reasonable price and very good service. 我是中国来的旅客， 这个酒店真的很不错， 我试过别的酒店，根本不是这回事，价格很合理，服务很好，和位置真的很不错”

“The overall stay was quite enjoyable. When we arrived I found out that we had only booked a double room and we were traveling with our four year old so the hotel upgraded our room to a suite with a pullout bed which was great because the room was much bigger. I had read some whining about the hotel in some reviews before I went there but I found it hard to see where the complaints were coming from. It is a very big hotel so of course you won't get the care and attention of a boutique hotel or B&B but the staff were very friendly and helpful. The wifi was said to only be for two hours but I went to the front desk to ask about this and you can actually just log back in after the two hours and keep going which was one of the complaints that I had read. Also make sure to bring your speedos if you plan to swim as it is apparently the law in France that you must wear them. I was able to go around the corner and buy a pair from the swimming pool for 11 Euros. Make sure to save time for breakfast as the buffet is quite nice, my daughter enjoyed this every morning. The train station is only a few minutes walk but I found that the bus, which was only 5 minutes away as well, was much much more convenient. Speak to the concierge for directions as they were very helpful, even tried to find me a place to rent or buy a stroller as my daughter was finding it hard to keep up with all the sightseeing.”

“Apart from the early slight inconvenience of the taxi not being able to find the hotel (we end up being dropped off nearby and having to walk to look for the hotel) and some noise from construction work outside the hotel in the early morning and late night revelers, I am pleased with my choice. Ref finding the hotel, it would have helped if on booking, there were instructions to us on how to locate the hotel. I had a apartment for 4 of us and it was adequate with a double bed and a fantastic sofa bed for 2. Room cleaning was not the best I have come across but adequate. More importantly, for non french speaking visitors like myself, the hotel staff well helpful, fully conversant in English and helped in giving directions to the metro and areas of interest. Its also walking distance to the Lourve museum. Little touches like readily available hot beverages in the lobby area are fantastic coming back into the hotel after a day out in the cold in December. Availability of food is not an issue as there are many restaurants to choose from nearby the hotel.”

“First I have to say that I would never book with Agoda again. They overcharged me, and caused me considerable aggravation in trying to get a refund, which after numerous emails, they finally agreed. The hotel is in a wonderful location, within a few minutes walk of some of the best museums, art galleries and sites of Paris. It is also close to lots of shops. The staff were all extremely obliging anf friendly and did everything to welcome guests. My 'comfort room' was a nice size, with a very comfortable bed and pillows, and snug duvet in a lovely white cotton cover. There were no drawers in the room for some reason, and although there was a safe, it was unusable as it was at floor level in the cupboard. There was an espresso machine, and tea and coffee in the room. The bathroom was a nice size, but in common with even 5* hotels, did not provide proper lighting or mirror for a woman wanting to apply makeup. Breakfast was good. I would definitely stay here again.”

“If you planned to stay for more than a couple of days (since there is a kitchen in the room, in case you want to cook something) and wish to enjoy the Eiffle Tower view in bedtime. This is a place, but you have to specify the room with Eiffle Tower view. Mr. Alexis is one of the great staffs I am impressed, all of them are great in assiting. Plus, the metro station is just right in front, with 3 metro lines (and a lift, which is rare for metro station in France). Walking distance to Eiffle Tower with fairy safe neighborhood at night. “We booked a superior double room, it had plenty of space for our 2 large suitcases. The bed was comfortable. We had a forward facing room and had a view of the top of the Eiffel Tower. The front office staff were extremely helpful and professional. They always had a smile and were happy to answer any of our questions. The Metro is literally outside the hotel which was a massive bonus especially when coming back later in the evenings. Overall it was a great stay. One note for the hotel would be to ask the cleaners to replace the bathroom amenities, soap and gels when they empty in the room. This happened a 3 days with us where the cleaners did not restock, when you are paying for a room per night you should be given a restock when empty, this was the reason for 4 stars for facilities instead of 5.”

“I was delighted we booked this hotel. The rooms were incredibly quiet, clean + beds were comfortable, perfect for my mum + sisters. Facilities in the hotel are very basic but that didn't make a difference to us. One touch I really liked was the provision of all kinds of water from a machine and hard sweets free of charge. The location is very good in the opera district bad beside the shops. Staff were helpful when needed. My mum and sister had breakfast there one morning. My mum was happy as it was simple and very basic as she wanted. My sister was less impressed and I was glad the two of had not wasted €15 each. We ate in a restaurant right beside the hotel recommended by the receptionist which was really lived and very casual. A few things they could improve on is their hotel booking system, in particular the very useless IM chat. Also I emailed for help beforehand and the response was unhelpful.The hotel is lacking a personal touch.”

“We stayed in room 22 and I’m glad I spent a little extra on it. The view is spectacular. There is a balcony and you can surely enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine!!! The rooms are spacious. The bathroom clean. The staff are very courteous. We arrived early however the very sweet lady at the reception let is check in early! The breakfast was good. The lady and the young man(sorry didnt get their names) were very kind and helpful!!! Just to be aware of a fact that the lift is too small may be just about fits two people, but that wasnt a huge issue. It is close to all the sights including the viewing point, the flower market, old town etc. Overall a 4 star hotel!!! If only there were a pool!!!!!”

“i thoroughly enjoyed my stay at beauchamps hotel, paris. the front desk was helpful in arranging an early check-in for me after a 14 hour flight so that i can freshen up before my 12noon meeting & i was pleasantly surprised to discover the cup of caffe i had in the restaurant while waiting for the room was complimentary! also a delight to know that my luggage was sent up to the room even before i was informed that i could use it! it was also an extension of their good service for the concierge to walk me out of the hotel to ensure i got into the right cab they called for me. the room & decor was lovely & contemporary with good standard of hygiene & cleanliness (the towel rack was even heated so it was great to have a warm towel after shower especially in february!) & the bed was very comfortable! (if only there were more selections of english programmes on their cable tv - the only english shows were the news channels.) the proximity to both champs elysee (just 5-7 min walk) & to rue faubourg st honore (about 10 min walk) is great! lots of cafes & restaurants nearby too! only problem i faced was the noise from the clubbers across the street & irate motorists honking...not sure if the hotel could upgrade their windows to be more sound-proofed from external noise...then the rooms would be perfect for a 3-4 star hotel! beauchamps hotel is a definite choice for me if i should visit paris again! great price for the comfort, location & wonderful service!”
