Loved this hotel. The location was awesome. A little noisy at night from the local bar-goers but if you’re used to sounds of a city then no worries with the noises. The room was great, with plenty of conveniences for a typical Icelandic hotel room. Overall, I would highly recommend!

We stayed here our last night in Iceland to be close to the airport. Hotel is an old military barrick and has several buildings and room choices. There’s a bar, premade foods like sandwiches and wraps and they offer breakfast ($$). You could also use a guest kitchen. Two rooms shared one bathroom, only a problem when we needed to get ready to catch the airport shuttle ...

I loved this place, it good valuse as Iceland is really expensive. Itnjas good kitchen facilities and common room which are great for meeting people if thats what you want. It a littlr bit oit of the way with a 15-30min walk to the centre but there is a bus stop just outside as well. Great views th ough at is next to the water. The bar and restaurant down stairs are pr...

Located in a very isolated place, but still easy to reach, this hotel is perfect if you are on the adventure side to explore the innerlands of Iceland. A tad overpriced for the value offered for available facilities, here's my experience: PROs: - Location is stunning if you are after disconnecting with the world and experience the wilderness of the country side. Capital Inn is located a short distance by car from downtown Reykjavik-for that matter everything is! Within two miles or so from a large mall, has abundant parking. My room which shares a central living space, kitchen and bathroom with two other rooms was spotless, I would even go ahead and state that it was an example of Nordic chic! One enters the apartment throu...

Arrived here on our first night in iceland. Free laundry is very useful. Wifi is very good. Location is walking distance from the main shopping strip. Bus services direct from airport will drop you at the door. Room was quiet, clean and well equipped. Minor problem at self check in was rectified very quickly by manager.

about 6 Km outside of Vic, it is secluded yet close enough to civilization. Surrounded by big hills that you can hike up (and see northern lights in winter) it has outdoor hotubs, includes breakfast buffet and has quite a bit of space sompared to other icelandic countryside hotels. Rooms were nice and beds were comfortable. This is a nice place to stay as one trav...

See my review on Trip Advisor. The staff were wonderful. Provided early check-in, solid advice and booking for attractions, tours and restaurants. View of the sea from 4th floor. Clean, modern, comfortable and good breakfast. I was here with my mom, not in a group- unfortunately none of the provided options suit my situation!

It was my first hotel in Iceland so I was a bit shocked at the lack of amenities for the price. No toiletries or refrigerator. No slippers, with a dusty floor. It was comfortable though and a nice design. Shower was hot and the room was warm. Staff were friendly, and breakfast was nice.

Everything was amazing in this Hotel, best location surrounded with restaurants, 5 minutes walk to the sea , very professional and helpful staff, they actually go out of their way to help you in anything you need, spacious room with fully equipped kitchenette, nice amenities and mini bar items, complimentary Juice, milk, coffee, tea, corn flex & one bottle of mineral...

The Hotel Floki is a comfortable and nice hotel. It was actually one of the nicest rooms we stayed in Iceland even though it was by far the cheapest. It's about a 5-10 minute walk to downtown area, the area it is in is quiet and residential. Good wifi and the shared bathroom was decent. Breakfast was okay but nothing too special, but it was free so no complaints. The o...

We loved Canopy by Hilton in Reykjavik city center. The location was truly perfect. It was my second time to Reykjavik and my husband’s first. We both agreed the location was fantastic- easy walk to the best shopping and dining in Reykjavik (and, of course the church, Harpa and the Old Harbor) Parking in the garage across the street was very reasonable and convenient. ...

It was a pleasant stay with lots of American tourists, probably it's their favourite hotel in the capital. They serve good breakfast and wifi available in rooms (well actually most hotels in Iceland do). Small drawback in the room: Toilet flush is not particularly powerful. The location is not very centrally located, although they offer shuttle bus + bus pass. If you a...

I stayed at Hlemmur Square for one night before my sister arrived with our tent. Good blackout curtains, and a great place to catch up on sleep after a 28 hour flight. Clean, well organized and well located--there is a 24 hour supermarket across the street. They offer a free beer with dinner on your first night--I had the vegetarian chilli and a delicious craft beer fo...

The owner was very accommodative, but the property frankly needs to be renovated. It’s situated at a prime location in the main Vik town, and with a little expense on renovation, guests can leave with a much better experience. On a separate note, the owner put up a decent breakfast spread, and had a wonderful and cheerful attitude.

Words can't describe how thrilled we were with this place. It was brand new and sooooo stylish. If it wasn't for all the incredible activities drawing us out of our room we would have quite happily spent our whole time in the room. We walked most days to Reykjavik - about 15 mins and we enjoyed the walk and also enjoyed the quiet. All the tour buses still picked us up ...

A rooms is very clean. i feel calm and warm circumstance about hostel. also very kind staff welcomed us and explain all facilities about center. kitchen is clean and coffee is so goood. i recommend this center. if i go to iceland again, i'll visit again!

Radisson 1919 boasts perhaps the finest location in Reykjavík, right in the centre of town in the thick of things. Yet it is quiet enought and shielded from the loud revelry in the main square Austurvöllur on weekend nights. The hotel is within easy walking distance of much of the best Reykjavík has to offer: restaurants, shopping, cafes and so on. The service is fr...

Very comfortable apartment, with everything provided, cookware, tea, coffee, internet, etc. We left a jacket and a tripod at the apartment and the owner air mailed it to Reykjavik for us to pick up at no cost. Great experience, recommeneded for all travelling to Hofn. Friendly and prompt communication.

Certainly great for a stay of a few days. But 8 days felt a bit too long to be climbing up out of what is basically a space-theme-like futon-box with a built-in media center, mirror, and blue lights. Mattress was a bit too hard for my personal liking, but for a short stay should pose no problems to the younger generations. Staff was awesome, able to help and set up...

The best hotel I stayed in 8 days in Iceland ... run by an Italian couple, rooms are very clean, very well equipped, the breakfast was amazing with fresh cooked eggs and bacon made to order, wife can’t speak good English but she is so accommodating ... the best part of this place is the view, you have a mini small pond right out front with a sofa by the pond facing Sel...

1. Wonderful service(kindness) 2. Nice lake view(cabin) 3. Large and comport(5 single bed, 1 twin bed) 4. Free wifi, cleaning clothes, lenting a gas grill But 1. Too far from akureiry(big city) 2. Too cold to enjoy outside hot bath(even i visit that in july) 3. Too dry in cabin

The people who work at this guesthouse really make you feel at home. We arrived with a baby who had to go to bed before we could eat and we desperately needed showers and were told not to rush, they would wait for us to give us dinner. Even though we were leaving without breakfast the next morning, the ladies gave us some coffee while we fed the baby and let us use the...

The staff is really friendly and the rooms so clean. Really enjoyed my long stay there... you have everything what you need there. I would have given 5 stars, but need to substract three because the washing service totally destroyed my wool/cashmere shirt. I guessed for 1000 kr. the service is realiable and professional... But they washed it too hot and too rough... ...

Husavik is a small town in Iceland so the accommodation choices of here is limited. However, it worth you stay a night to relax after watching whale. Here you can find friendly host and nice breakfast in the morning! Which is quite impressive to me.

We took 2 nights with attached toilet without breakfast. Price Mid range. First Night in Iceland we come straight from the airport. Got a shared kitchen. Got a view of the lake. Easy to find using goggle map gps. Next to famous Fontana Hotspring. We didn't try the hot spring had already closed. Think worth to try.

This hostel is beautiful, they have a great social area. Unfortunatly, not many people to sociolize with lol. Maybe it was because its october. Anyway, the hostel is clean, and staff is Ok. Great place if you wanna do the peninsula by car and drive all around, not so much to do at the hostel itself like every lost place in iceland. They dont have WIFI in october. The...

Never having used a sleeping pod before, we mainly booked this one out of curiosity. And we absolutely loved it! It is very well situated on the main street of Akureyri with bars and restaurants all around. The entrance was a bit difficult to find since it is in the back of a shopping building (a sign or arrow would be good!) but there was a phone number on the door a...

cleanliness of the camp was really disappointing. Garbage ran out of the baskets in the kitchen/dining tent, the tables were all dirty and sticky. Hundreds of dead midges covering everything. The cottage was equipped only with beds, linens and courtains - there was not even a hanger to hang things on, or chair to sit on.

Nice clean and friendly hotel. Very good food. Good central location to move up (to Geysir or Gulfoss waterfall) or move to the east (close to pretty waterfalls Seljalandfoss and Skogafoss and u will see more, Vik black beach, Glazier Lagoon) Sauna and hottub at the rooftop. Staff very friendly. Close to supermarket and gasstation.

Thank you for the wonderful stay!!!!! Both of the hosts were so welcoming and friendly. The breakfast spread was very good. We arrived late on our one night stay there, but you were both happy to see us and made us right at home. Gave a tour of your gorgeous home and answered all of our questions. One of the better places that we stayed at while in Iceland. Thank y...

There is a disclaimer, because this place can be tricky to find. You need to remember to turn off the 845 route to take the smaller road to Mývatn. We struggle a bit to find it with the phone's GPS and google maps. However, once you have found it, this location has a wonderful veiw of the mountains, and apart from the birds and the occational sheep passing your little...

The pods are so adoreable. I can't get enough of how cute they look. Not only they are good to look at, they are super cosy too. The resort is right next to the waterfall. Well recommended if you are in Iceland for a getaway trip. It's really peaceful.

a nice guest house, nice view to the ocean and to a snowy peak. it was our first night at iceland, and we arrived at 10 pm to the guest house, then we discovered we forgot our phone chargers at home. at the last percent of battery we called the number on the reception door an luckly for us a nice lady came and checked us in. there is a really nice kitchen and lounge, b...

We stayed here one night, actually moving here from another hotel in the same street just because the price here for that night was very attractive. The room ( for two ) was clean though not as spacious as we experienced in other places due to many furniture in the room ( the room itself is large ). I have to specially commend the guesthouse owner for being so helpful ...

Husavik is a small next to Akureyri and is famous for whale watching. The choice of accommodation may be limited, however, you can find the best host here. It's not only simply a hotel or hostel you stay in Husavik, but also a home of you! You ll find comfortable in the stay. You can ask for their suggestions about your trip too! Without their help, I could not catch m...

We are touring the island and stayed here only one night in transit. On the surface this place doesn't look too inviting, however once inside the friendly environment and professional staff quickly change my initial impressions. They upgraded our room since it was off season, but I still found the room a bit small and cramped for my liking. The water temperature in the...

This was the best place we stayed at in Iceland! It was a stopover during our self-drive in the south. It was only the two of us but we were given a HOUSE with two double rooms, large bathroom, large lounge/kitchen area, and an outside hidden jacuzzi that unfortunately we didn't use. Everything was IKEA though, IKEA beds, furniture, cupboards - they look good but will ...

We stayed at the hotel on the way from the east coast to Reykjavik. It is close to the attractions of the Golden Circle and only an hour from Reykjavik. The hotel offers a nice pool area and a good restaurant for travellers. There are some geotermal sites and a small waterfall nearby.

The location of Hotel Reykjavik Centrum could not be any more central. It is within walking distance of all the major sights of Reykjavik. The rooms are well-designed by Icelandic standards. clean and comfortable. The hotel has a fine restaurant that is considered among the best in the city, and rightly so. What I did not like about the hotel is the nickel-and-dimi...

Checked in here on my birthday and had booked a suite. Was a bit disappointed by the view since it overlooks a big construction are rather then the snowy mountains on the other side, but no big deal. The room was very modern, spacious and just what I had wanted for my birthday night. We had two other rooms and this way we had some space and sit together and celebrate. ...
