Capital Inn is located a short distance by car from downtown Reykjavik-for that matter everything is! Within two miles or so from a large mall, has abundant parking. My room which shares a central living space, kitchen and bathroom with two other rooms was spotless, I would even go ahead and state that it was an example of Nordic chic! One enters the apartment through a door which opens into the kitchen, of the kitchen three rooms marked A-B-C represent the individual rooms which are private and are lockable. The bathroom and shower was fine, the kitchen area with all conveniences microwave, refrigerator, stove? But the star was the room itself, regular size, not huge but clean lines, bright white decoration and light wood decor and floor. The Wifi was good speed. The included breakfast was excellent value considering the horrendously high food prices, it included coffee, tea, juice, eggs, cereal, toast, milk, eggs, fruit salad, sausages and some sort of Icelandic pate which

I stayed at Hlemmur Square for one night before my sister arrived with our tent. Good blackout curtains, and a great place to catch up on sleep after a 28 hour flight. Clean, well organized and well located--there is a 24 hour supermarket across the street. They offer a free beer with dinner on your first night--I had the vegetarian chilli and a delicious craft beer for just ISK1100, a steal in Iceland. Nothing in iceland is cheap but this was perfect for my needs.

The staff is really friendly and the rooms so clean. Really enjoyed my long stay there... you have everything what you need there. I would have given 5 stars, but need to substract three because the washing service totally destroyed my wool/cashmere shirt. I guessed for 1000 kr. the service is realiable and professional... But they washed it too hot and too rough... Now it is a too small and not soft anymore... thats really annoying!! I have to buy new ones. If I pay soo much for it I can at least expect a good service!

We stayed here our last night in Iceland to be close to the airport. Hotel is an old military barrick and has several buildings and room choices. There’s a bar, premade foods like sandwiches and wraps and they offer breakfast ($$). You could also use a guest kitchen. Two rooms shared one bathroom, only a problem when we needed to get ready to catch the airport shuttle ($) and someone was already showering. I will say we ended up paying $151 US so thats why the low mark for value. I can get a 3 Star hotel room with en suite in downtown Chicago for the same. Iceland was beautiful, but not inexpensive!

The Hotel Floki is a comfortable and nice hotel. It was actually one of the nicest rooms we stayed in Iceland even though it was by far the cheapest. It's about a 5-10 minute walk to downtown area, the area it is in is quiet and residential. Good wifi and the shared bathroom was decent. Breakfast was okay but nothing too special, but it was free so no complaints. The only disappointment was that we thought we'd be able to use the kitchen but it's not available unless you stay in a dorm room. Overall, the Floki exceeded our expectations and I'd recommend it to anyone travelling on a budget.

This hostel is beautiful, they have a great social area. Unfortunatly, not many people to sociolize with lol. Maybe it was because its october. Anyway, the hostel is clean, and staff is Ok. Great place if you wanna do the peninsula by car and drive all around, not so much to do at the hostel itself like every lost place in iceland. They dont have WIFI in october. The coffee in the machine coffee is good.

Never having used a sleeping pod before, we mainly booked this one out of curiosity. And we absolutely loved it! It is very well situated on the main street of Akureyri with bars and restaurants all around. The entrance was a bit difficult to find since it is in the back of a shopping building (a sign or arrow would be good!) but there was a phone number on the door and the staff was helpful. The interior of the place looks like from a science fiction movie, and we were a bit nervous about the pods. But we did get a good introduction on how to use them (it's really simple) and were very reassured by the fact that they can also be opened manually from the inside. We had a pod for two and there was plenty of space. It also has a great entertainment board :) The only downside was that there was no storage space for bags, shoes etc. However, the hostel was not entirely finished yet, and we saw that a locker room is in the make. The bathrooms are great, there are lots and lots, and each is an individual room with a toilet and shower, so plenty of privacy there. We haven't used the kitchen, but the breakfast buffet was lovely as well, with homemade pancakes! Do stay there if you get a chance!

We arrived late on our one night stay there, but you were both happy to see us and made us right at home. Gave a tour of your gorgeous home and answered all of our questions. I loved this place, it good valuse as Iceland is really expensive. Itnjas good kitchen facilities and common room which are great for meeting people if thats what you want. It a littlr bit oit of the way with a 15-30min walk to the centre but there is a bus stop just outside as well. Great views th ough at is next to the water. The bar and restaurant down stairs are pretty cool. They have an event on almost every night from salsa dancing to live music. All in all great hostel!

There is a disclaimer, because this place can be tricky to find. You need to remember to turn off the 845 route to take the smaller road to Mývatn. We struggle a bit to find it with the phone's GPS and google maps. However, once you have found it, this location has a wonderful veiw of the mountains, and apart from the birds and the occational sheep passing your little house, this is so peacefull that only the late summer sun can keep you awake. So, if that is a problem then bring sleeping gogles for the summer nights. The staff is really helpful, and the chalets are brand new, so you really get a good night's rest, and additionally they have a barbaque, which you can borrow to make your own dinner. Truly a great stay for reasonale money in the Husavík area.

a nice guest house, nice view to the ocean and to a snowy peak. it was our first night at iceland, and we arrived at 10 pm to the guest house, then we discovered we forgot our phone chargers at home. at the last percent of battery we called the number on the reception door an luckly for us a nice lady came and checked us in. there is a really nice kitchen and lounge, but only one bath room for four rooms, so it might take a while until the bath room is free at rush hours

We stayed here one night, actually moving here from another hotel in the same street just because the price here for that night was very attractive. The room ( for two ) was clean though not as spacious as we experienced in other places due to many furniture in the room ( the room itself is large ). I have to specially commend the guesthouse owner for being so helpful and kind and driving us to the local airport without a second thought.

Husavik is a small next to Akureyri and is famous for whale watching. The choice of accommodation may be limited, however, you can find the best host here. It's not only simply a hotel or hostel you stay in Husavik, but also a home of you! You ll find comfortable in the stay. You can ask for their suggestions about your trip too! We are touring the island and stayed here only one night in transit. On the surface this place doesn't look too inviting, however once inside the friendly environment and professional staff quickly change my initial impressions. They upgraded our room since it was off season, but I still found the room a bit small and cramped for my liking. The water temperature in the shower was perfect and the bed was comfortable as well. The guest wifi didn't work but we managed to get in working on another network. I found the food to be quite pleasant with the lamb chops and chicken salad. Overall, it was a pleasant stop with no major concerns or complaints.
