Best hotels & accommodations in Jamaica

Nice restaurants on site but front desk staff is the worst. They allowed us to wait 3 hours to check-in and did't provide us any accommodations as a result. Additionally our suite room door wouldn't lock properly so if someone wanted they could just walk right into our room. Waited to get the door fixed once and then the next day the door did the same thing. I complai...

Breathless is an increadible experience and don’t bother to go anywhere else! It features amazing pools with a daily DJ between 12-18, plus a rooftop bar with a pool and hot jacuzzi. You will also get access to a beautiful private beach plus you have access to all restaurants at the adjacent Secret resort. We went to five other five-star hotels in Jamaica before settli...

Sunscape Splash is probably about a 3 out of 5 stars in terms of hotels and US standards. That being said, it can be a real bargain for those wanting a beach front all-inclusive. For the price we paid via Agoda, we would definitely recommend those hotel and we would definitely stay here again.

My whole experience was amazing! North coast hotels have nothing on the Spanish Court. From the moment we arrived the service and staff was above anything we could ask for. Very accommodating. The hotel was very clean and they think of everything for their guests. I’m an avid exerciser and I was surprised to find an exercise mat in the closet in our room. I’m so ready...

I stayed all inclusive for the first time over Christmas, and for what I wanted this trip, it wasn’t bad at all. I enjoyed it. I resided in premier club, so I shared a nice pool with only a few neighbors. The rooms are lovely and cleanliness is a must wherever I choose to stay. I was not disappointed. My butlers were Super Amazing. Yes, the room comes with butler servi...

Our ocean view suite was actually more a pool view with the ocean just visible past that. The suite itself was very good. We never saw our butler once in the four days we were there. Generally all the staff were great. It would be nice to have Red Stripe in bottles instead of cans. Snorkelling on the reef just off the hotel was excellent but between the beach and ...

I’ll prefice this review with i’m on vacation and simply want to relax and i do not want to complain about anything. Kudos to donovan (butler), poppy (bar), rory (buffett server). i’ve never been to a 4.5 star facility with so many broken equipment: Hot tub, hydrotherapy, refrig, etc... General lack of supplies: club soda 4 days, rum, limes, lemons, nachos, tea...

Came here for days. The resort is nice and well maintained by the staff. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable however slightly outdated. Actually noticed mold on one wall but not too huge of a deal. Showers put out hot water every time so that was a huge plus. I was pleasantly pleased with the fitness center and the equipment that it has w...

My wife and I spent 14 nights at the Royalton Negril and could find no faults with the hotel. All the staff were friendly and enquired frequently to see if we had any issues with our stay. We ate frequently in the Gourmet Marche restaurant which was excellent, we also tried the West Indian cuisine and Italian restaurant, both excellent experiences. You can have ice ...

Wow where to even start. I absolutely loved this resort and my time there. The food is VERY good (having been to other all-inclusive resorts as well), the service is terrific and everyone is so so so friendly, the resort does such an amazing job trying to make sure everyone is happy and having a good time, and the facilities are very clean. I would hands down come back...

Polkerris is located very close to the local attractions. The staff are attentive and friendly. The breakfast each morning was wonderful. The property is well maintained and very clean. We were very satisfied and will defineitly return. Jeremy and Clarissa were great hosts.

Nice room, friendly staff and good entertainment. Food is okay at best and the serving staff is incredibly slow--even for Jamaica! Asked several times for items to be brought to our room and never got some of them despite calling several times. But we had a great time despite a few drawbacks.

We spent just one night but, it was one of the most perfect get-aways. My family was attending a sponsored fun day in Negril at a location close-by. We got to the hotel at least two hours ahead of scheduled check-in time. However, Latoya (the receptionist at the front desk) was so accommodating. She allowed us to check into our rooms despite being early and ensured th...

we went not knowing what to expect and got a gem! what a find, the location is prime to walk the beach each way. the staff is so nice and genuine and wanted to place them all in out pockets and bring them home. it was our pleasure to talk amoungst them about their lives there in jamaica and they shared many little tips and finds for us to enjoy. we will share thi...

Limited restaurant options (two fine dinning, buffet, grill [good jerk chicken] and a pizza oven) and food ends at 2 AM (not 24-hours). The main and only buffet was mediocre; needed more Jamaican food options. The is no hard liquor in the room only a few cans of beer in the mini fridge. Otherwise, the location is great, the room is very clean and service staff are sup...

This is a lot like a community hostel location. A very simple room. It was clean, and the hosts were helpful. Cheap price. Good location. Cold water and we hardly slept because of a club next door blasting music all night. One shared bathroom for all. Good for our short stay. Thanks T&T!

This was a beautiful and peaceful villa on the hillside of Montego Bay. Wonderful views of ocean from the property. I felt like I was visiting family rather than staying at hotel. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made sure I enjoyed my visit. Definitely not like staying in a Hilton or Holiday Inn, much less formal and much more home-y. Great place to relax, sleep...

One of the best places to stay as an independent and individual traveller. Its rather remote in the hills surrounded by nothing but nature. Finding it is an adventure by itself but the reward is worth it. You stay in a colonial style house with a lot of love for detail and interior. Big rooms high ceilings and a breathtaking view. Very friendly host. You should not be ...

Great option if you want to be centrally located near live music without breaking the bank. Pros: central location, live music certain nights, decent rooms for price, restaurant/bar onsite, hot water at shower, free parking Cons: WiFi is at times horrible, no cable if you enjoy watching TV, not good if you want luxury

Stayed only 1 night after long flight before travelling to Ocho Rios. Value for money. Friendly staff, who arrange us late check-in without problems. Not luxury but value for money, you dont travel to Jamaica to stay in your hotel room. Bed was comfortable, nothing to complain.

Firefly was a great place to stay on Negril's beautiful 7-mile white sand beach. The property is beautiful, full of colorful flowers, and well maintained. The beach was lovely with provided chairs and the bar/restaurant right there. Food at the restaurant was delicious from breakfast to dinner. Rooms are all a bit different in layout. All very clean. The most superb e...

I booked 4 nights at this "villa" and stayed just one night. From the time of check-in, there were issues. The AC did not have a remote in the room and so they tried to program another one but that did not work. My options were to sleep with the AC on and freeze or turn it off and be eaten by mosquitoes. I left it on and froze (even though they provided a blanket for m...

the hotel room and bath was clean. it had lots of light in the hallways at night. it as a resturant downstairs in the back with a bar. i did not eat there, but you can sit inside and its by the pool. i did not get in the pool, but it was clean.i did not see any bugs in the room. the only thing bad about the hotel is that its hard to find from the main road, because the...

I couldn't ask for better. Was there on my honeymoon. Myself and partner was very happy with the apartment and treatment from all staff from we arrived till we left. Management was very friendly will definitely stay there again with the whole family

After living a week in a top-notch all-inclusive resort, my first impression of the apartment from the outside was dismal - the building looked old and out-dated. But the interior of the apartment is as shown! The view's great. There is an elevator that takes you right to the doorstep of Doctor's Cave, one of Montego's tourist spots if that's where you want to be. A co...

Waterfield is gorgeous and the owners are very welcoming. We had to use satnav to get there as there isn't very much signage to get there. The property is located seriously high up a mountain side, the views are stunning however you either need to be a confident driver or have a driver of your own as it costs approx $30 -$50 US dollars eachway for the owners to drive ...

Nice place, big room and clean. Ok shower. Nice people at front desk and groundstaff! But the waiters in the bar/breakfast area could use a lesson in hospitality. They were able to accommodate our group in the same building with our atrium rooms right off the pool. The rooms were beautiful. The beach was sandy with clear water. Cocktail service on the beach. The food was amazing. Many included excursions like waterskiing, sailing, catamaran, snorkeling, scuba ... I can’t think of one negative comment. We can’t wait to go back...

Beautiful resort, very nice staff, rooms definitely need to be taken care of better though. We switched rooms after the first night (just to upgrade to an ocean view) and both rooms smelled like mildew and were pretty out of date. The foot was pretty awful except at the pool/beachside jerk hut, but the drinks and activities were awesome!

I was a member of a family booking at Riu Montego Bay. Although there were several children and infants in our group, I was neither parent nor carer for any of them, therefore, I took a time out at Riu Reggae Adults Only. The décor and the establishment culture dovetailed with my aesthetic palate and protocol sensibilities; staff were professionally cordial and helpf...

We came to Jamaica for the second time and chose Riu Palace Negril because of location! Last year we stayed in another Riu Hotel, but didn’t like the sea bottom because it was covered with the seaweed! Here, the sea is amazing- crystal clear water, clean bottom! BUT the staff! They could have been more friendly and responsive! The most disappointing experience happened...

I visited with my best friend. Stayed 5 days and 4 nights. We went to celebrate our 40th Birthday. Her birthday was on one of the days we were there. They surprised her with a cake in the room. That was very thoughtful. The staff was fabulous to interact with. The food was excellent. There was at time or two while sitting at the pool that the staff didn’t come our way...

We loved our stay here. We stayed for two weeks and I am wondering if this is unusual as the evening entertainment had the same shows on our second week. The staff are helpful and friendly. The dining options are plentiful and the food is nice. We booked and paid for the candlelight dinner on the beach. This was to celebrate a special occasion and although the ambienc...
