This is a very nice hotel, probably the nicest I stayed at anywhere in Central Asia. The staff were very friendly and helpful with getting taxis and otherwise making my trip to Almaty easier.

the staff were really helpful and friendly! hotel is clean and comfortable. but the location is far from city center and there is nothing much around. but hotel staff can guide you and assist with hiring taxi.

Pros: service was great, location good and the nearby mall has all one could need. Cons: hotel is located on the upper floors of a commercial building, which means one has to go up to come down..and vice versa. Didn't have power outlet converters and an daily internet(only if u need more bandwidth) fee seems rather ridiculous for a $3-400/night hotel.

Overall, the hotel met expectations. the staff were very good and always willing to help. However, the facilities seem a bit worn down. I would stay there again due to the overall value.

It was my first time visit at Almaty as Transit.And,this hotel was great choice for me! All staff were very kind and warming!! Also,the place and room was perfect! I could walk around to see the town and had great time! Thank you for everything and I will look foward to seeing on someday again :)

A good and clean hostel, comfortable bed, friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere that you can easily make friends there! The only cons is there is quite a distance from hostel to city centre, but still a walkable distance and you and easily take a bus. I really enjoyed my stay here and I will definitely come again if I visit Almaty next time!

We travelled as a couple with 11 year old. Stayed in a standard room with an extra bed rolled in. Room is small but comfortable. The breakfast is super, staff were very friendly especially Alina and ladies at the Capri Restaurant, location is excellent near the riverside, supermarket and children attractions are in a walking distance. Hotel however needs to pay attention to the beds, as most of us had some sort of bites.

Stayed here for the first time last Halloween. I usually stay at the Hotel Oskamen - and old Soviet Era block (which is clean and cheap, but the breakfast served is foul); so, I stayed at the Duman, which is more expensive, to test its breakfast - which was quite enjoyable. I would stay here again.

We tried Alanda hotel as it was new and the hotel seems to have a traditional style. The facilities were good, the room big enough and clean. Everything you need if you are staying in the city 3 or 4 night. Handy spot. Close to a large supermarket and mall. There's a few food shops nearby as well. Rooms are comfortable , but sometimes too hot in winter. Very comfortable beds here though. Free wifi , you'll get the password on check in. There's an ATM machine in the lobby if you need to get money. Breakfasts here are pretty good with a decent variety. Bar onsite as well.

Well, its a very clean bungalow with mostly private room and dormitory. The Hotel very near to the bus station run between airport and the train station. I love my stay here, except one thing, no window nor fan in my room.
