This is the best hotel in Vientiane for this price. Top reasons I picked this hotel was the pool, the fact it is a new hotel, price and location. Also their shuttle service is much cheaper than the local taxis, next time I will call ahead for airport pick up. They also offer free bikes to ride around the city which is another bonus considering taxis are 1000% more exp...

This place is a good hike from the main strip, so think twice if you don't have your own transport. The reception staff are disinterested and casual, even by local standards. The rooms are big with good showers but badly maintained overall. Views are fantastic. Breakfast is served in a restaurant half way down the hill, which the reception staff will not tell you. Bett...

Room was very clean and received fresh towels daily. Owner, Xouyang, picked us up from the bus station since we had pre booked and provided recommendations on tours and motorbike rentals without being pushy. He booked flights for us from XiengKhoung to Vientiane which was helpful since Laos Airlines didn't show any flights available. Rooms are very loud since everythin...

we found that in the midst of the jungle a well built and well organized resort was there. the founder is french who designed a good resort with a good view and supportive staff. its restaurant is the best in the area. staff are locals cute little girls. they might not be so speedy as people in big city but very polite and provided us very good services. we were als...

It was terrible. Especially the young 20ish girl at the front desk. she didn't staff the counter at the front desk but laid on the couch in the lobby playing with her cell phone. I had a problem with connecting to Wi-Fi so went back down and she was till laying on couch with cell phone and laughed when I told her my problem with wi-fi. the manager connected me to an...

We booked our stay in advance. When you arrive, the place seems nice, with a nice view on the river and nice garden. However, the place is completly abandoned and it only looks nice at the entry..There is nobody there and everything is locked with chains. We waited for over two hours, there was nobody around. Finally, someone came, showed us a terrible room and wanted ...

It compares the standard with the VIP room. I made it to VIP. There was no customer but the room on the second floor of the VIP Room Building, "There is only upstairs" the first bridge! The location where the window was opened is inside the main street, a wonderful natural location. Iron set washing tub with bathtub and wifi also thought up to washing and washing conta...

My stay at the Nam Nern Ecolodge was great. Really deep in the jungle. Lots of night sounds, river sounds. Saw a sambar deer, five civet cats, dragon lizards and owls on the night safari. Dry season a good time to go as the animals must come to the river to drink. Floating down the river in silence was very serene, with moments of excitement when an animal was spo...

When we arrived we had trouble finding the place as it is composed of multiple properties across town and only one reception with no given directions. After we finally found staff they sent us on a ghost hunt around time to one of their properties before eventually telling us that they were completely booked out. They did not feel responsible at all and told us that th...

We just stayed for one night, and it was ok about the room cleanliness and facilities, but on the next day when we checked out, the staff couldn't understand English and kept asking us to pay after I explained I'd paid by credit card and showed him the booking voucher....,yet he just repeated the same words. Finally, we gave up communicating and left with anger. The hot...

Arrived at the guesthouse to find no one spoke any English, so trying to explain that I had paid online was a challenge. After someone translating via a phone call we found out that in fact they have no online booking and we would have to pay again. The money was taken off my credit card but we still weren't allowed a room unless we paid cash. After emailing their c...

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel in Sam Neua very much and would rate it 10/10. I filled in the required box about food, but it should be noted that the hotel does not sell food or have a dining area. The people who work in the hotel were excellent and very helpful. The elevator is in working order, and the room was clean, comfortable and had many amenities such as a re...

we had a nice stay at the guesthouse. it is just in front of the cave tour office and surrounded by beautiful scenery. the bungalows are nice and clean, but expect a few insects as it is basically in middle of the jungle. there isnt any food available and dont expect many other options in vieng xai(small village).

Upon arrival, were given a key and thats the last we saw of any staff for the rest of the day. I did finally find one man who I asked about WiFi and he went to find out- NO WiFi. The shower and bathroom were terrible- the water poured out of the sink onto the floor. The price is only $15 Aus. but we have stayed in many more at the same price. Others now tell us that N...

Tricky to review this place. The owner and family are nice. The hotel has no facilities except for wifi which is weak. It's sited out of town a little in an area undergoing heavy development of the road into town and a new market. We were sold one of the new rooms with what looked like a great corner view window instead we got an old room with damp bathroom. The o...

We stayed here for one night. It was great for what we needed - a cheap room for our stopover in Sayaboury. The woman who was running the guesthouse was very helpful and booked us a tuk-tuk to take us to the bus station for our onward travel.

I stayed at Saylomyen Guesthouse with my mother the night before going to the Elephant Conservation Centre. We were both very tired after our bumpy 7 hour ride up from Vientiane... What a pleasant surprise! I'd chosen the guesthouse because the sheets looked very clean on the online photos - and they were just as clean in real life. The mattresses were thick and comfor...
