I liked the hotel last year. I was unable to fly to Latvia this year because my passport expires in January! I didn’t know this regulation until I presented my passport to get my boarding pass at the airport; so, I couldn’t cancel in time to get any refund...

The best parts of this accommodation were the proper room-cleaning service and assorted, high-quality breakfast in the mornings. The bathroom and bedroom were modern, clean and great value for money. It's a slightly longer walk into town (especially from the center/riverside), but Riga has plenty of restaurants and supermarkets near Gertrudes ielas anyway. My hotel ke...

Lovely big room, comfortable beds, clean. Best to stay on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday as it is a party street the rest of the nights hence the earplugs supplied by the Hotel and the triple glazed Windows, or ask to stay at the back and not on the street side. Breakfast was excellent. Close to bus Station and the old town. Good Restaurants and bars in the Party stree...

It was pretty great value for double room. I was quite surprised how well hotel staff spoke English since latvians generally aren't that great at English. Visiting pools and saunas was also free of charge until 18:00 every day and it was pretty good, many different pools and saunas. Breakfast was mediocre by hotel breakfast standards. There is Baltic Beach Hotel les...

Location near the lake and sunrise is the best! Very good breakfast including the salmon etc. Clean and comfortable room, cheap price, about 30 Euros per night with breakfast for two persons. Very friendly staff. I think that this hotel Baltvilla near the lake of Baltezers is one of the best hotel with friendly room price near the Riga, for travellers with car who lik...

I love the place! Everything is so beautiful! Breakfast was amazing too. Top notch all around. Would be fantastic if the female receptionists could be a bit more friendly. Other than that it’s perfect. Highly recommended. Best stay of my entire trip. Because it’s a bit more expensive than the other options it tends to have an older crowd.

Pros: - Very lucky with an early check in. I arrived around 7am after my flight and expected to be able to leave my luggage, that's all. I was surprised and very grateful to be be allowed to check in to my room then and there at no extra charge. Thank you! - buffet extensive and fresh and always refilled. - clean, especially the bathroom and bedding. - location, right ...

I had a great stay ay Wellton Old Riga Palace Hotel. My flight landed after 11pm, and I was at the hotel after midnight, nevertheless I was warmly greeted by all staff and was checked in quickly. The single room was nice, the bed was comfortable, the room had an iron and ironing board, a safe, a TV, and a very comfortable bed. To my mind, the breakfast buffet was als...

Attractively furnished hotel in central location. Travelled with friend and obtained twin beddded room booked at short notice, excellent rate.Good quality fittings in bedroom and bathroom. Room was quite small and soundproofing between rooms poor. Nice to have kettle in room, but why only 2in 1 satchels of coffee.? I am allergic to milk and was told no alternative av...

This is the place to stay! Our three night stay, from check in to departure, was well above our expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and spacious, the gym/sauna much appreciated, and the location excellent for anything one might want to do downtown Riga. We enjoyed both the hotel and it's surroundings. Unfortunately we did not eat...

We had a fantastic weekend in Riga, and where happy to spend quite some time at the hotel, the restaurant, spa area and the room itself. February was apparently far from tourist season, so neither the Old Town or the hotel was crowded. We where able to use the spa with sauna and steam bath whenever we wanted. A great restaurant with fantastic food and service, and they...

I stayed here for one night while waiting for a coach, bus in the morning. This hostel was a great value at only 12 euros or $14.42. It has a nice location. 10 minutes away from the bus station, a 2 minute walk to food (including KFC), and a 5 minute walk to the mall that has a grocery store in it. Central location in the capital, yet the price is still affordable. Wh...

We had room with jacuzzy and it was just epic. The jacuzzy was huge and we had such a blast with my girlfriend. Can'e even recall how many hours we spend there in our 2 night stay, we couln't just get enough. I definitely recommend to take room with jacuzzy, you won't regret it.

Of all the hotels I've stayed in in Latvia (5) is this simply the best. Staff everywhere are smiling and friendly: Cleaners, receptionists and waiters and bartenders. (You cannot take that for granted in Latvia....) My room was nice, with a good view. The park outside is nice and it's so easy to get to downtown Riga in no time with the public transportation just outsid...

there is no sign board “ mimimi hotel” and can not enter the building without entrance code. You need to ask them when you made reservation. I was waiting for 30 mins and I couldn’t find out where is the entrance.. but I called them, luckily I had EU phone number and could text them. Until the accommodation looks not nice at all.. but inside is very clean!i think they...

A bit off the very centre, the hotel is an island of the 21 century among one hundred years old buildings. Clean small rooms. Perhaps not intended for a long term stay. The breakfast's cost seemed high. Public transport stops and a few small grocery stores nearby., a fast-food restaurant in a walking distance.

Staff were very friendly and helpful Room was modern and clean Breakfast was basic - but that's ok as it is free Would recommend this hotel and stay here again I arrived via bus and walked there to check in but on the way back got a taxi for €7 back to the bus station It is walking distance to Old Town - may take 20 mins
Cheap places to stay in Latvia

The hotel was located in the center therefore everything was within walking distance, including the bus station. However I got the private room on the second floor, which as far as I see there was only another room (4 beds room) but somehow the bathroom in my floor was always occupied by more than 5 people. I guess people on the first floor also used bathroom on the se...

I stayed just for a weekend in Gogol Park hostel, which relatively new place in Riga. Location is good, close to train and bus station and the city center. Rooms and other facilities where clean and quite new. Friendly staff and free wifi was a good thing also.

Pros: Its right above mcdonalds, opp freedom monument which is bordering the old town so location tops off everything. Rooms and showers are new and clean Cons: since its right beside one of the main roads it can still be noisy on the street at night that will disturb your sleep (i was on the 4th floor). So perhaps ask for a room that is NOT facing the street will ...

This is not a Hilton, so my expectation was accordingly. This hotel is on the market. There is also night market till around midnight. This causes noise, especially if window is open. Was good to see the market fizz from the window.. But later it made harder to get sleep. The worst was the barrier. Every vehicle in and out, barrier up and down: lilililili-lilililili, l...

Stayed at the Hotel for one night at the end of July in room 210. Location was spot on, based on a quiet side street, not far from the city enter and old town. Room had enough space for my needs. WIFI worked perfectly and the internet speed was great. Included breakfast was a bonus for the price. The guy on reception was really helpful and even printed my flight ticket...

I do not understand why everyone are saying this place is horrible. It's really not. They waited for me as I didn't arrive before late in the evening and the receptionist was very kind. My room was clean and had what I needed. It's only 6 stops away from the airport and it was a perfect place to stay for the night until my flight in the morning.

The guest house is about 10 - 15min walk from the bus station. If you are heading there alone when dark, be aware there will be a lot of sudden dark gateways on the way, so you will want to be cautious and quick. The elder staff could be a bit more professional in phone communication, but it may be the town's way of speaking coming through. The younger staff was excell...

We stayed for two nights and were immediately very impressed. Even better than the pictures suggest. The Large bath and sauna were excellent, the bed very comfortable, and the minibar and food in the fridge all very good quality. This house is just great! Ancient, retro, cozy, with a view on a river, the wooden floor squeaks. If you want to feel the real taste of the past being in the very centre of the city, this is the place you need! Moreover, it is well-equipped, pillows and blankets are very comfortable, just if you stay on the second floor do not drink too much since the stairs are quite ...

Overall it is a reasonably decent apartment for a few days stay in Riga. However a local mobile number will be needed to communicate with the management. I booked for Katoļu Iela 35A but they changed me to changed to Sadovnikova 39-20 which is located on a busy road. The traffic noise is quite disturbing. But as it is 10 minutes walk from the Abrenes Iela bus terminus ...

Unbelievable place, wish we had discovered sooner. Just gorgeous. Very well kept and sympathetically restored castle. The rooms are furnished with antiques and have an "old style" feel, but are comfortable and have fully modern bathrooms (water pressure fantastic, loads of hot water). The staff were great, and it was very clean and comfortable. Everything just righ...

This place is amazing, perfect, brand new, clean, quiet, honestly i felt like being there first person ever. In apartment You will even find coffee machine and washing powder. For sure i will come back one day there. I was thinking what could they change to be better, there is no such thing. Our stay in Riga was more exceptional thanks to this place.

A really lovely, friendly hotel with newly decorated fully equipped rooms. Conveniently located right in the centre of the city, close to shops and restaurants and just a 5 minute walk from the train station. Dining room and bedrooms are a little on the small side, but that’s part of the charm. Staff were very helpful throughout our stay with directions and restaurant ...

The place was very clean, sunny and the stuff were super friendly and helpful. Secure and in closed area. The internet was also very-very good. Great central situation in a quiet area (next to a Central park) . Modern and well equipped (washing machine, dishwasher) studio in a high standing building. Pretty much everything. Host was really nice and apartment was just g...
Luxury hotels in Latvia

First-rate hotel in the old town section of Riga. Beautifully appointed historic hotel with attentive staff, nice rooms, and attractive public spaces. Breakfast room can get crowded and there is a cigar bar off the lobby which can get a bit noisy. Ask to reserve sauna and steam room in the basement: great way to reinvigorate

Right in the heart of old town Riga. Comfortable rooms and beds. Great shower and bath facilities. Building construction underway but did not bother or disturb us at night. Kitchen facilities were very poor. We were a group of six adults travelling together for four weeks. We have booked three bedroom apartments for all our stays. We wanted an apartment s...
