We selected the Hilton & thoroughly enjoyed staying there. We'd definitely stay again. The staff were amazing, and everything that you'd expect from the Hilton was delivered. Our room was great - ocean view with balcony. Close to transport. In Malta we caught e bus up & down the main coast road which was super easy. 3 euros for an all day pass. We could catch almost an...

Overall very good value and in an ideal location for sightseeing around Malta. I used a shuttle transfer from the airport, and got around using the ferry and buses which were cheap and frequent. After the first night I requested to change my room as I was woken several times from noise coming up the stairwell. The receptionist was apologetic and I was quickly moved fur...

I really had a great time in Malta and staying in Intercontinental helped. The location was perfect with good connection to other cities in Malta. It was near the bus stop, shops, restaurants, and near the beach (even though I could not swim as it was still cold). The room was very spacious (I had 2 double beds in my room even if I was alone!). I was really impressed ...

Location is in the middle of 2 popular areas (clubbing and seaside promenade) about 5-10 minutes walk. Staff ares really friendly and attentive. Breakfast has not too many options but all in great quality. No official bellboy but front desk came to help as soon as she finish the other customer check out. There is underground parking which is rear in Malta, even in 5 st...

This hotel is great value for money. It's in a quiet location yet only 5 minutes walk to bus or 10 minutes walk to Bugibba. My friend and I stayed bed and breakfast and both of us thought food was great. There was a good variety of food each morning . Staff were always very helpful with any queries and the hotel was spotless. There was a pool at the front of the hotel ...

Saved me from bad hostel room! Very affordable, friendly staff, felt very clean and the room was quite large. I checked out of squished hostel into here and it was the best decision. Great value. Good location close to bus stops and restaurants. Only downfalls: wifi connection was very poor in the bedrooms, however worked well outside of rooms (but maybe it was just...

The hotel is at an excellent location in St Julians, and only a short walk (around 5 mins) to the nearest bus stop. There are many great restaurants along the street of the hotel and there's a grocery and convenience store within walking distance as well. The room was big and well-maintained, and I really appreciated how often it was cleaned. We loved the indoor and th...

I spent ten days in a studio apartment at Triton and had a lovely stay. The studio was comfortable, very clean and had most things you need. It was minutes from the beach and bus terminus where you could easily travel around Malta. Carl was very helpful and welcoming. I really recommend this apartment block.

it is a very nice hotel ,friendly and helpfull staf .food is nice ,you can have a good choise in the vinoteque ,with exelent food . the rooms was very clean ,and the furneture is realy nice ,the people at the reception are frienly and help you with a smile . felt very welcome there ,

Me and my friend loved our hotel room! Whilst the reception area could do with some work to make it more attractive, the reception staff, especially Philip, were very helpful and kind. The superior room itself was very nice, modern, clean and cosy. The beds were comfy, and the bathroom was very nice. During our 3 night stay, the rooms were cleaned every day whilst we ...

Before booking, I was unsure if it would be better to stay in the centre of Valletta or in the neighbouring district of Sliema. I think I made the right decision! This hotel is a minute from the beach and about ten minutes from the main shopping and restaurant areas, and there is a bus stop right outside which makes day trips a piece of cake. All of the staff I spoke ...

We were settled immediately upon arrival, at 10.0 am. The room is clean, the bed is white. Daily change of towels and cleaning. For 7 nights the bed was changed once. Free air conditioning. Request a room overlooking the balcony. Beautiful musical evenings. I liked everything, I recommend! Malta is an amazing country.

I had such a good time in this hotel. Everything was perfect. The staff has been very nice and helpful, the room (superior sea view and balcony) was extremely clean and of course the location is the best to visit Malta. I stayed there one week and if I go back to Malta one day I will be staying there again.

This is a nice hotel in the center of Sliema. From here it's easy to go around Malta. Also, there are shops, restaurants and supermarkets within a few minutes walking distance. The best part is probably the quite large roof top where you can enjoy the view and the sun. The service was very good, especially at the reception. The hotel could improve on the quality of it'...

Pros: the rooms are unique, comfortable, boutique-y and clean, the staff are very friendly, the hotel is housed in a cool 400 year-old building and the location is awesome. Cons: Minor but annoying. We came back to our room one night to find our room door wide open, I mean completely open with the lights on and everything. We thought someone was actually in our room ...

As soon as I stepped into the clean spacious room, I wished I had booked more nights. Below the hotel are there shopping mall and cafes, and Citadella is within walkable distance you can visit that place day and night for different atmosphere. The cafeteria for breakfast is looking up Citadella and its food and coffee is great. Want to book again and stay longer.

My partner and I had the best time at Paradise Bay this summer. The facilities are fantastic. Numerous swimming pools and deck chairs to enjoy the sun. The food was brilliant! There was a wide range of food to choose from at breakfast and dinner. We went half board and didn’t expect drinks to be part of the package. THEY ARE! Drinks were included from 6:30-9:30pm which...

This is a very nice bed and breakfast like near the Marsalforn bay. Wifi is fast and room is spacious. The host Joseph was very accommodating and kind. Breakfast is very good, cheap and delicious. Only problem is the that there is no elevator so it would very hard to drag your luggage upstairs. No computer area as indicated on the website but nonetheless, it was a plea...

I never hated a hotel room as much as I have with this hotel. I'm probably being high maintenance for some people but here is my opinion. As soon as we got the key cards you could tell that it wasn't going to be great because the key cards have been worn out. At first glance the room seems nice and looks just like the pictures. But looking closer the room looks a bit r...

Stayed there for 4 days and booked the penthouse studio. The excellent: great welcome by Jairo, one of the managers, he did not spare any effort to guide me on things to do, to see, how to get where , tips & tricks, apps to download and what to expect. He gallantly brought my suitcase up - 4 floors, no elevator. Excellent wi-fi The very good: location, location, loca...

I quite enjoyed my stay. The staff were great. On arrival I received a complementary drink and received an upgrade to the bay view. The hotel rooms themselves were spacious and clean. Comfy bed. New plasma tv and a lovely balcony. The bathrooms were clean and the bath tub has a jacuzzi feature. There was free parking and wi-fi. I had hired a car so driving distance to...
Cheap places to stay in Malta

The hostel is really nice, clean, near to the bus stop, and restaurants. Minor things whih I don’t like: stains on the towels and sheets, the fridge was not clean when I got there, if you like sleep then stay away from the room near or facing the street because the hostel is across the school or library so you will hear children shouting and playing and even cars passi...

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. My room was small but clean and had everything that was mentioned in the advertising. The breakfast was also quite good. It took me about one hour to walk to St. Peters pool swimming spot. However, I think I could probably do this walk in 45 minutes. I got lost a few times. There are a few convenience stores within 2 to 3 minut...

I spent there 4 nights and cannot find anything significant to criticize. Yes, the hotel definitely requires renovation, however is as clean as it could be. Yes - breakfast is basic, but this is a typical continental breakfast and you get what you want. Although I missed some vegetables a lot. I liked the staff, people are sooo nice there. The location is just perfect ...

We had a very late arrival in Malta and chose this hotel for the 24/7 check in. Check in at 2am was easy and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable and we had a lovely sunny balcony with loungers and a view of the harbour to Valletta. It would have been nice to have had longer to enjoy these facilities. However while ...

We enjoyed our two week stay at this hotel. The cleanliness and friendliness of the entire staff made our trip amazing. The only con I would have is that there are no bureaus for your clothes in the room and also in the family suites you should have a microwave, so that when you brought leftovers home you were able to heat them up. A special thanks to a very dear st...

The best start to getting to know Malta we could have wished for. The friendliness and helpfulness of every member of staff was incomparable. It rubs off on the guests so you get a pleasant and understated vibe. Valletta at night shouldn’t be missed, its fortifications feel like visiting the pyramids, magnificent and overwhelming. Genius integration of the modern...

We spent a fantastic five days in the Gillieru Harbour Hotel. The Location is incredible, with direct connection to the sea, in addition the hotel has its own swimming pool on the second floor with fantastic panoramic view to the harbour. The breakfast is plentiful, and the staff was extremely kind and helpful. I hope we can return back soon to Gillieru Harbour Hotel,...

Our stay at the hotel worked basically fine, but there were a lot of negative to talk about, for example, that we, in one of the rooms had leaks in the toilet and that there were problems with water in the shower. The later we can understand where Malta has difficulty with water. The fact that it was served juice that tasted strongly of chlorine means that we instead t...

If you are not interested in stay in crowded areas, this is a nice option. Located in Qwara, the hotel is very calm and close to lots of restaurants. Ideal if you have a rented car, as there're plenty of parking spots around the hotel. I didn't have any issue in my 5 days stay. Breakfast is regular and enough.

Fantastic location, in a quiet street under 5 minutes from the waterfront, where there are restaurants, shops and the bus and ferry terminal which provides access to the rest of Malta. Staff were excellent, they answered any queries I had and were always very friendly. The property had a lot of character, my room we spacious and clean. There was also a terrace and sma...

We enjoyed the proximity to the waterfront and the amazing views from our balcony. There are good resturants just below and the biggest shopping centre in Malta, the point, is about 10min walk. Buzzing night life below too. Harbour cruises and tourists activities are offer just below the hotel. We highly recommend this newly renovated hotel, wonderful surprise. Thank ...

We recently stayed at the hotel for five nights and found it to be a great location to explore Malta using public transport . While it is a walk down into Sliema waterfront , this is manageable for most people. It is a slightly more gentle and shorter walk down to the Chalet area. This side seemed less hectic than the Sliema Ferries waterfront. The facilities at the ho...

We got a really good deal and it was only worth what we paid certainly not worth more than £50 per night. Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas although it cost one euro for a mattress to go on it plus a five euro deposit per towel which you get back. Room was basic but bed super comfy and choice of pillows. Breakfast was ok certainly not holiday inn/hilton after a few da...

We stayed here for one night and the only friendly face was the room cleaner. There was hardly a welcome comment when we arrived from the receptionist. The barman in the lobby was quite obnoxious and disinterested in his job. We felt as though we were being a nuisance asking for a drink. We tried the so called "pub" instead and it was equally as disappointing.....

Location is amazing; shops and restaurants around. Very diverse and locals super nice. First time in Malta and I wasn't disappointed!!! Best Maltese dish I ever ate was at a restaurant called Gululu. Travel to Malta for the first time to attend a wedding in mid May and had a pleasant stay in this hotel. It is strategically located in St Julian with easy access to bar, supermarket and seaside. We are a husband and wife from Westermn Australia who spent 4 nights at Tano's in June 2016. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience - appartment was centrally located, room comfortable and quite large(with elevator). Gozo was the delight of our holiday! We only had one day there but decided next time we would spend our whole holiday there! An added bonus was having Betty Cake B&B for our lodging. It was beautiful, comfortable, and so delightfully peaceful and quiet. We can not wait to go there again someday!

Ryan is a efficient host . The apartment is in a quiet residential area and a short walk to St Thomas Bay. There are good bus connections to other parts of the island . Wonderful to go for long walks along St Thomas bay The apartment is so clean and airy

The hotel was quite comfortable. The food was very good and there was quite a choice. The only thing that we were not happy about is about the towels. They were never put in order in their proper place in the morning when the room was cleaned. On the whole we had a good rest.

The hotel is located in an old narrow street in Valletta which will surely in the years ahead be one of the most beautiful of the Meditteranean cities, as it previously was.The building is tall and narrow and magnificently renovated with style and flair in keeping with the aesthetics of the original building and from arrival you are greeted by a wonderful genuinely hap...

A beautiful boutique hotel with a very intimate vibe. The room is spacious and the bath tub is perfect after a day of exploring the Gozo island. Parking is right outside the hotel and have more spaces 2mins down the road. Breakfast is simple yet satisfying enough to fuel you for the day. Staff is polite and they make excellent recommendations to the guests.

the hotel provides one of the best atmosphere for relaxation in malta/gozo. me and my wife enjoyed the beautiful pool area where there is so nice and quiet. if you are looking for a romantic getaway or a relaxed holiday in a luxurious hotel this is the best alternative. the food is quiet expensive even for a 5-star standard but gozo is small so you find better alternat...

The stay ( only 1 night as we weren't able to book 8 nights there) was lovely. The only thing was I did specify in the booking that this was our honeymoon so I wasn't too impressed with the fact that no mention was made of it at our check-in or in room.

For our last night on Malta, we chose to stay at Xara Palace for several reasons: out of the way, enable us to really enjoy Mdina at night, and perception of its service. It did not disappoint. The staff were very helpful and attentive and accommodated our late check out and instructions on how to bring the car inside the walls to accommodate our luggage. Recommended. ...
