We stayed here during the second half of our stay in Amsterdam and it was much nicer and bigger than our previous hotel. As some reviewers have stated already, the hotel is in an older building but most hotels in Amsterdam are. We have booked this hotel through agoda and there was a technical problem in the system so all the booking were coming through but there were no rooms available at the hotel. So the hotel's management have upgraded us to a 5 star hotel next by so we were very happy by their service.

We booked a room for 3 adults without breakfast. When we came to the hotel, we changed our mind about the breakfast, but it was absolutely no problem to pay for it extra (8,50€/pers./day). Air conditioning did not work, and it was horribly warm there. My husband and I were there for our first anniversary trip. The staff was nice enough to give us a cake and some nice deco on my bed. However, the aircon wasn't working properly, and we couldn't sleep well. Plus we paid peak surcharge due to King's Day - we left Holland on a negative note. :(

The hotel is located on the seafront and our decision about its choice was first of all based on the fact that it is presented with a sea view. Plus spacious, renovated rooms with great design. But de facto, the renovated wing - the sidepiece and has no view of the sea. In particular, the view from our rooms went out to the ring of the tram and bus lines.

This place was a very clean hotel and very good value compared to most other places in Groningen. The staff was friendly and the location was perfect for me near the train station and central for shopping, restaurants and night life.

Not a bad hotel that is ideal for an over night stay. It's a 7 minute walk from train station and the same into the shopping centre of Groningen. The staff were welcoming. Room was okay. The bathroom only had a walk in shower. No real complaints, but for €115 euro's the hotel is over priced.

A cosy hotel situated at the heart of Nes, major attractions are within walking distance. You only need to spend 10 minutes to walk from the pier to the hotel. Staff are friendly, facilities are a bit old but adequate, breakfast is nice. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. In sum, I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to visit Ameland.

The hotel is in walking distance of the harbor. The staff was very nice. The breakfast was plentyful. I was a bit disappointed that there was no waterboiler in the room.

Enjoyed our welcome and stay at the Hotle Almenum. We were a small group of 3 cyclists following the classic canal ice skating race. Hotel was excellently situated in centre of town. The hotel buildings were excellent conversions of old industrial spaces. Rooms spacious and very well equipped. Breakfast good. Staff welcoming.

We would be happy got a hotel in the middle of centrum, good view as hotel in front of the Dam. Only bed room is smaller than we expected, little choice for breakfast and if in the morning, busy to heard some trucks come in and out from factories surrounding.
