“Our stay at The Scotsman Hotel was the best foot put forward at the onset of our day one of UK tour.location could not have been better. The amenities in the room were as royal as the City of Edinburgh. My stay would not have been this positive, if not for the Hotel Manager at that time. Mr Grant went out of his way to make my son and I comfortable. He was polite, helpful and ready to walk the extra mile at being professional at work. Edinburgh and Hotel Scotsman Hotel make the same memory stamp in our minds. no one should think twice before booking any hotel for Edinburgh stay. thank you Mr Grant from the core of our hearts.”
“This hotel is highly recommended for both short and long stays, not only for its excellent location adjacent Piccadilly railway station and tram stop, both including direct links to the airport, but also for the friendliness of the staff who were very obliging and helpful in answering questions and requests. The unit was spotlessly clean with easy to operate modern appliances including a clothes washing machine and dryer which was simple to use and the kitchen was comprehensively equipped with kitchen utensils. If possible, request rooms on the upper floors for quietness and a view over the adjacent canal. There are many convenience shops located nearby, including one almost opposite, as are many pubs and restaurants located nearby. The main pedestrianized area of the city and main shopping area is a short stroll away.”
“We stayed at the Belgrave for a gig at the Brixton O2 Academy. The hotel is located near the Oval tube station and there is free street parking on the weekend. We took a walk into Brixton which is about 1.5 miles away but decided to use taxis in the evening which reception helped us to book. We won't hesitate to book The Belgrave again when visiting London!”
“The staff are so friendly from the exceptional men who greet you on arrival to the staff at breakfast. Everyone is really friendly. Rooms are beautifully decorated and a fully stocked mini bar with the best complimentary biscuits we've ever had! The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of city. Even though you are central you wouldn't know it as it's really quiet. Breakfast was lovely lots to choose from and the quality of the food was delicious. We will definitely be looking to book the Gotham again- this time for longer.”
“Beautiful residential area, near the embassy row. Stone's throw away from Kensington Palace and Hyde Park. Easily accessible by buses and Kensington High Stree Station. Apartments have been newly revamped/upgraded. We were first assigned apartment 11 (2-bedroom) on the 4th floor but the lift break down so we were moved to apartment 1 (3-bedroom) on the lower ground floor. Both apartments are superb. Although housekeeping has to be reminded to pay attention to the details (of cleaning)”
“The room was spacious, light and clean. The bathroom area is open, so it would be weird if you were sharing with a friend or adult child rather than a loved one, but it was fine for us. There is mini bar with free soft drinks replenished daily, and the fridge itself is big enough to store your milk and breakfast supplies. My only gripe was that there is no guest laundry, only a stupidly expensive a laundry service. We used Bandbox laundry instead which was walking distance and an excellent service. There was slight confusion with our booking in the system which caused some minor hassles, but the staff never made it our problem. We would stay in Innside Manchester again and recommend it without hesitation.”
“large spacious apartment in the best location possible. Booked accidentally (price wasn't clear on Agoda website), so I wasn't happy with how much I paid, but that is beyond the control of the staff who were all great.”
“I was a bit worried before I got here because of some low rating reviews. However, while I was staying here for two days, I had no difficulty staying here except I had to jump over my carrier. At least I could leave my carrier open on the floor, though. The room was clean during the stay (hotel will NOT change your bed sheets but Will make the bed for you). Shampoo, bodywash, and soaps were refilled. The room had a good air conditioner, unlimited hot water from the shower, and a small TV which had a minor issue(maybe resolution problem). Wifi was working fine and okay speed. I was also satisfied with the breakfast buffet. It had various menus and decent taste. I liked how they took care of little details such as preparing small plastic spoons for their yogurts. Although the price wasn't cheap for me as a traveling student, but it is probably because I booked the room a day before my stay. In general, I really enjoyed staying at this hotel.”
“i arrived early here and my room wasn't ready so they upgraded me to an executive suite. the room was already fantastic value for the location and the quality of the hotel, so this was the icing on the cake. room was modern, large for london, spotlessly clean and furnishings were excellent quality. staff were fantastic. best hotel i've stayed in for a long time, would definitely stay there again.”
“Just returned home today from spending 4 nights at K & K. I booked this property because the pictures were nice, the price was nice and I was familiar with the area, knowing I would be a one minute walk from one of the most convenient tube stations (Earls Court - which we easily traveled directly to and fro from Heathrow). What I wasn’t expecting was how CLEAN and warm and quiet the place is. And the staff - so polite, kind and doing the best job they can - at front desk, housekeeping, restaurant staff, even the gentleman that served us our afternoon tea in the cozy lounge. Overall, if you want to stay somewhere that feels like a hotel but also feels a bit like home then this is a good place. Beds are so comfy, linens are crisp white, and bathrooms were very clean and well kept. Plus loads of closet space. We had a room on the 4th floor with 2 twins, desk and a little lounger. I believe it was an upgrade room from the standard 2-twins. Plenty of space. We would definitely book again.”
“I've staying here for two nights, everything was perfect. The concierge is very kind and professional. They help me on suggesting the best restaurants not only dinner and lunch but also afternoon tea and even if you are looking for fish and chips. They also book the tickets of the London eye and Westminster Abbey for me , that make my trip efficiently accomplished. The hotel from level 34 to 52 of course you'll got the best view of city. The view of my room was perfect. I can see London eye and Big Ben even from my bathtub. I really recommend to stay at Shangrila at the shard.”
“We stayed 3 nights at La Suite West. Once you go inside the hotel the entryway is dim (I guess it's their style). We booked a standard room and our room was located on the first floor. The room was very nice, it had a walk-in closet to put our luggage inside. The room came with a standard bathtub/stand-up shower room. One interesting find we notice the TV unit was remotely controlled. This hotel is easy to access to the metro, it is close to Bayswater and Queensway station. There are tons of restaurants and shops close to the hotel. On our first day, we walked to Hyde park which was very convenient. Overall, a great hotel to stay with and really great location with many amenities surrounded.”
“I was wowed the moment I stepped into the lobby. It looked so posh and classy! The staff are very helpful and friendly with excellent service. It just feels like a 5 star hotel. The next best thing about the hotel is its location. People who love to shop will definitely love it. You just need to step out of the hotel, turn left, and the rest is the whole street of shopping starting from High Street fashion along Bond street all the way to High End brands covering New & Old bond street. Marble Arch Tube station is just outside towards left side of the hotel and it is on the central line, meaning it's a centralized line and all you need is 1 transfer to most important landmarks like Piccadilly, Victoria and Leicester station or sometimes even direct without changing lanes! The only thing is given the fantastic welcome impression from lobby, the room is just plain normal and the housekeeping do not refill certain things. But still fine, given the above pros!! Love the stay!”
“At the west end of London lies the district of Hmmersmith. It is a small district but it has its own charm and tranquility afar from the bustling area of central London. The hotel is modern new and chic best suited for the family and if your on a budget. The staff are very friendly courteous and accomodating specially Victor who helped me with my questions and booking my tours around London. Free breakfast is plentiful and their packaged i cute paper bags. Only thing is the design of toilet and shower which were separate and a bit small. The hotel is 5 mins from Hammersmith station and many shops. All in all my experience is superb at this great hotel. I would recommend this and will definitely come back for more.”
“My stay at the hotel was generally decent as I was not in the hotel for the most part of the day. I had a single room for 1 and it was very small ,it was just right for one person traveling with only a hand luggage. I couldn't imagine being able to bring one big luggage on top of a hand carry bag into the room. The lift is very small and slow so I ended up walking the stairs more often than not. Although the hotel offers free wifi, it was very slow and drops out very much. The shower head was loose and water leaked down from it. Having said that, it's a nice location 5 minutes from oxford street. It is also very close to the tube station - Tottenhams Court RD but the central line does not stop there for the rest of 2015. I recommend it to shoppers who are not looking for luxury and excellent comfort. I am somewhat likely to return to this hotel in the future but hopefully i will book a bigger room if there happens to be a suitable price.”
“A nice boutique hotel conveniently located near the busy Piccadilly Circus and the trendy Carnaby street (practically just next door). There is a Pret A Manger just around the corner that opens from 6.45am & so it becomes our daily source of breakfast (our preference is to sample the local food outside the hotel as much as we can including breakfast). The hotel is styled rather similar to a Hard Rock cafe. Dark wall papers, rock star photos etc. with wooden flooring. Ok with us, but it doesn't appeal my mother that much. The room itself is rather small. We wonder the need of having a bar counter with two bar stools in such a tight space. The only windows that the room has, are covered with odd-looking window stickers that look as if they had been there for many decades (completely unique, on the opposite end of the overall rock star theme). Once the sofa bed is opened, there is hardly any space for a person behind the bar counter and the bar stools have to be moved elsewhere. Again if there was no sofa bed, we would probably spend our time elsewhere else rather than facing the odd-looking windows, which by the way are facing nearby buildings. If view from the window is your criteria, look at other options (though be careful; what they post may not be what you get -- see our review on Park Plaza Westminster Bridge). You may also want to be extra careful in the bathroom. Not only the tiles are in dark tone, the glass panel that separates the bath tub and the basin is not fixed so there is always a chance that it swings outside towards the basin and that may create an unpleasant bang or it breaks if you are unlucky.”
“This is the second time I have stayed at the Hyatt Regency Churchill. It is a luxury hotel and the location is absolutely fantastic. The staff at the hotel are extremely welcoming and seem to go out of their way to do whatever you need, from the doorman to the reception to the Club staff. Really excellent. I booked a Club Room, which I highly recommend. The rooms are fairly standard, but large for UK standards. Well appointed and clean. The location is perfect. It is situated on Portman Square, which is a large park, which gives the impression of space. The hotel is a short walk to Oxford Street from which you can easily access downtown London to the left or towards Marble Arch and Harrods to the right. It is all right there. Nothing is more than a short walk away. The hotel has a small gym (don't forget to turn on the air conditioning, otherwise it gets quite warm) and is quite a happening place. There is a restaurant downstairs that seems always busy and the Churchill Bar on the corner. But if you want to get outside the hotel, there are lots of eating and drinking options that are London favourites. Room Tip: Book a Club room. The Facilities are very English and very enjoyable.”
“April 2018, stayed twice total 10 nights. First stay was in an Executive Room. Modern, clean, spacious and had a kitchenette, hot plates, microwave, sink, small fridge with a small freezer. Free Wi-Fi, wide screen TV and a Google phone to use inside and outside the room ( take it with you when you go outside ). Second stay we booked into a standard room but it was almost the same as the Executive room just a fraction smaller so Extremely happy with the rooms. The rooms are serviced daily. There is also an excellent laundry room in the basement with 3 washer and driers, free of charge. Other things good about this hotel is the Location. Waterloo Railway Station is around the corner, Lambeth North Subway is about 50 metres. There is a Sainsbury market next door, buses out the front, its close to tourist attractions. Its a great hotel for travelers, HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.”
“Location is great. Its near Queesnway and bayswater station. Hotel is easy to find. Location is not too noisy. I was booked on to this hotel after another hotel could not honour my booking. The one bedroom apartment is very spacious. Kitchen is a resonable size but equipment varies between room. The first room I got, it is at the bottom floor facing the airwell. The room is really hot and stuffy. The air cooler does not help at all. Housekeeping had to send ice pack over for me to use the cooler but it did not have any effect on cooling the room. I requested for a room change but being as it was in the middle of the night they could not do anything. I had bedbugs bite which in the end gave me a lot of problem during my stay. I complained a couple of days later after realizing it was bed bugs bite. The second room is on the third floor so its a slightly more cooling. The windows cannot be open fully for security reasons. I understand that for a grade listed building, you are not allowed to change the facade of the building but the management should try and include more units with air conditioning. As much as the management keep saying for UK you do not need air conditioning, hotel is pretty hot and stuffy the whole stay that I was there. In general, I enjoyed my stay there.”
“It was just average for the overall service of the hotel. Partly disappointed with the service the hotel provided. We arrived at 7am london time and the receptionist told us there was no room available for us until the next guest checkout at 12-3pm. Making a guest wait? Why hilton is not flexible enough for a better option to customer?. Second thing, she upselled us to an executive room at just for the first night stay on temporary before we moved to the room that we booked. To our second disappointment the room doesnt look like an executive, the room smelled of someone who just smoked in the room(where it's a non-smoking room), and the air con heater wasn't functioning properly. My husband and myself moved back to our deluxe room on the second night and it was much much more better and we were happy and satisfied throughout our stay in the guestroom. The view was also perfect and the hotel area was what satisfied us. It is nearby everywhere we're going. Nearby long stretch of cheap delicious halal foods, nearby underground(trains), and buses, marks & spencer supermart is just a door away from the hotel.”
“Hotel is about 5-min walk to Westminster underground train station & about 10-min walk to Waterloo train station, which has a lot of chain eateries & shops like M&S etc. The hotel is also just 5-min away from the London Eye and a further 5-10 min from the houses of parliament. Location is maybe its highest selling point. The room that we booked was spacious, with a separate living room for a a queen size sofa bed. Perfect for us as a we traveled with our son & my mother (both need space of their own, but are afraid of sleeping by themselves in a separate room). The interior is a bit quirky; a huge poster of a lady (head only, not whole body) covers up the entire wardrobe. As we sleep with all lights off, my wife found the lady staring at our bed a bit spooky when she sometimes woke up during the night. The bathroom door has no lock - not sure if it was deliberate or they forgot to fix it. A slight disappointment to find that guests need to pay extra £49 per night to be upgraded to a room facing the Big Ben. We had thought that our room would face the Big Ben when we booked it through Agoda -- the room was pictured as if it was overlooking Big Ben & it was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel. In the end we decided not to pay for the upgrade as that was our second leg in London before we flew back home.”
“lovely stay at the Z, great service by the staff during our trip last weekend. able to drop our bags off in the morning before check-in to go round london. free cheese and wine every night between 5-8pm which is always busy and a lovely atmosphere in a boutiquey hotel and dining area. the rooms are small which is expected for a building of its size but more than enough when your visiting london as your out throughout the day and evening. beds were good though. typical modern hotel glass bathroom/shower area but the sink area is small and awkward but good shower. full sky tv in the rooms too with all the channels which is great and free wifi which is added bonuses as most chain hotels charge for wifi and dont have full tv package. air con unit is locked and can only change the temp but our room didnt get cold for the temperature and windows cant be opened so was a bit warm but fine but maybe the unit needed a check/service. would definitely stay here again though as for the price and location and free extras its unbeatable and its only a couple mins walk from traf square so your saving money you would spend on a cheaper hotel further outer london needing to get tube/train into central london. great service by all the staff too!!”
“we stayed at Point A hotel for 3 nights. we booked the biggest room and it is spacious, we also can see the Dome of St Paul's catheral from our hotel window. the hotel is close to the King cross station. and it is very accessible to most places in London by tube. we even walked to Camden town from the King Cross statuon. staffs deserves 5 stars, they are very accomodating, helpful and friendly. you can leave your luggages after check out without a fee. the breadfast is simple but good. we didnt intended to eat breakfast at the hotel however due to an issue with aircons, went down to ask for room changing and they complemented us with a breakfast coupon and it turned out that we love their breakfast and we bought breakfast coupon for our next days. we will definitely book this hotel for our next trip.”
“Great location, beautiful clean hotel with nice size rooms for family of three. Located one block from Millennium bridge so easy access to South Bank, Tate Modern Museum, the London Eye. St. Paul, and quick walk to Tower Bridge and London Tower. Close to Metro stations so able to quickly get to any other location. Some staff very friendly, helpful (ask for Christian EXTREMELY Wonderful) others not so much. Two Ladies working front desk at one point friendly but not from England so unable to give any directions but you can locate a concierge who can assist. Employees in bar not as friendly but also wondered if understaffed in this specific area. Either way well worth the price. We did request a city view through this booking app which we did not receive and hotel booked when arrived so unable to move. If you have special request I would verify with the hotel prior to checking in to ensure they received the message and can accommodate.”
“London House hotel is a good place to stay. The front desk staffs are very helpful. The cleaners always do the cleaning well. Taking the room with the garden view is recommended as every morning you will feel very refreshed just looking through the window. There are also some snack machine at the lobby if you wish to eat something. I am curious if the toilet amenities can include Toothbrush and toothpaste, it will be best. London House Hotel is quite near to both Bayswater and queenways station which is the best location to stay.”
“I will never forget our staying is this hotel during this lifetime occasion. I really believe that the hotel have the best views in London, very romantic, and its location is perfect even to walk to Southbank area. The staff are very well trained and always delighted to make your stay memorable. I was surprised with this hotel, I was not expected to be so good as it was. We will definitely return!”
“I stayed at the George for 2 days over a weekend. Location is much better than any hotel on Princes Street. Right in the best shopping area (not for "touristy" shopping). Conveniently close to major attractions and a short walk to other areas. I had a single room so it was a bit on the small side, but comfortable enough for a single traveler. The George seems to be a combination of a few buildings so navigating to get to my room was a bit maze-like with several twist/turns and tight stairs. Make sure to have the concierge handle baggage.”
“Great location and wonderfully cooperative and helpful staff. Stored our luggage until our room was ready. The room was super small and with no window. We didn't realize that when we booked, but that's what an 'Interior Room' means; no window. However; they did make the best of the limited space and although it was tight for two adults and luggage, it wasn't bad for one night. There is a happy hour from 5-7(check the time) that includes free wine and cheese. Quite good. The breakfast looked good but was not included in our rate, so we ate down the road at the Shakespeare restaurant for breakfast. We don't recommend that place for breakfast. Very touristy and pricey for average service and food. Right next to the hotel is a great little pub that has pretty good chicken and mushroom pies. Literally right across the street from Victoria Station and just down the road from the Queen's House. Great location.”
“Great and very safe facilities for a solo female traveller. The staff was fantastic and would help you with any issues that might arise. It's very camping/fringe mentality in August but if that's what you want, it's the perfect place to stay and meet very creative and interesting people. Straight bus connection to city centre. More than value for money.”
“The best for short stay, not far away from city center, clean and good looking rooms. In my opinion toilets was too small but clean, with soap and shampoo. Good price and friendly staff. I would like to come back :) ”
“One of the best hostels in Brighton, everything is cleaned regularly, There are travellers from all over the world, the breakfast is delicious and rich and also the staff is nice and friendly.”
“As a whole It’s really a good place to stay . It’s clean, rooms are spacious comparatively . Have a wide kitchen and lounge. Even though few things to consider . There are no Lockers in the rooms . Not so many restaurants options around. But the Bar at the Side of the River and the Indian food place was good. For me the Receptionist wasn’t that friendly, I had to pay an extra 1 day Fee since I paid through Agoda and my Travel company booked as well. And they didn’t bother to refund it(wasn’t mentioned non-refundable ) . Anyways apart from that the stay was good. I would recommend”
“Great place for the price, only 15 minutes walk to city centre, a bit further to Goodison for the football (or Anfield if you're that way inclined). Good beds, heating great, loads of communal spaces for tv etc. Basic free breakfast was a nice suprised, toast/cereal/coffee or tea. Good hostel experience!”
“Overall experience in this hostel ill give it a 10/10 because its is the best in Westminster London its as clean and tidy as a 5 star hotel I recommend you visit for yourself ”
“The communal areas are really nice decorated and the rooms were pretty basics and was relatively unattractive, but somehow clean, gotta share the bathroom and the showers with few other rooms but it's not so bad. it's easy to walk to the spots, the restaurants, the shops. also, the royal mile itself is an aged street. All along the royal mile is full of really nice cafés, restaurants and pubs. The staff was really friendly and helpful. And it's easy to get to the airport by bus which leaves from round the corner.”
“The Coppermines hostel is at the top of a very rough track out of Coniston village which I would not like to have to negotiate in the dark. Plenty of space to park, though. Facilities are hostel basic, but very clean, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. They provided a lovely two-course dinner (with vegetarian option) for £9.95 which saved the hassle of going back into the village. Bar service available until early evening too.”
“I really enjoyed my stay there, really nice staff,so friendly and helpful all the time with a big smile in their mouth and lovely kindness. I stayed there to stay 3 days in a 4 bed room, actually it was like a Hotel, with lcd tv and sofa inside of that, so lovely, but there are something i don't really dare with it: Wifi, completely bad in the whole place, room and common areas. I highly recommend this place, but please guys, change the wifi, is absolutely terrible.”
“I love staying in the Camden hostel!! So easy to get to and really cheap :) great rooms and a lovely venue/ My only issue here was the fact that the room was SOOO HOTTT argh I was up on the highest third bunk bed and was like a sauna :( they really should turn the heating off and gave me a right headache all the next day but had a great time other than that and will definitely be coming back again soon!!”
“Incredible staff, very helpfully.Javi,Valentina, Helen and the other guy.Good breakfast very cheap.Kellogs, two kinds of milk,coffee,tea,toasts,margarine..all that u can eat.Complete kitchen..The rest depend of respect of the others(cleaning,noise..).U can leave luggage there in check out to come back at evening for take it.Meet nice people of all the countries.I come back for sure.”
“It's the first time I've tried this as a cheap alternative to a hotel, and really enjoyed it. The privacy offered by the curtained bunks work well; of course there are always people coming and going with so many to a room, but you can tell that people are doing their best to be quiet in the room itself and I slept solidly all night. Good facilities, showers and toilets were clean, room felt secure with lockable trunks under the bed, power socket and a light in your bunk. Walk to the tube station is easy. Bar area was nice and might try the pool table next time.”
“I stayed in Quadruple room which was around half of the room in the picture and it was not nice like the pictures as well. However, there is little kitchen zone and minibar in the room. Another weak point of this hostel is there is only one bottom to push which is very hot water. We cannot adjust it and staff told us to use shared shower rooms that may better or waited to use in the morning but the results are the same. I'll give you more info that water is boiled from 10pm-2am, so the best time to take a shower maybe 9pm. For breakfast, there are only drink bread conflect and some fruit. When compare with the facilities and the price that we had to pay it's not valuable but staffs were very nice and helpful.”
“I was a bit apprehensive about booking a youth hostel, worrying that it might be spartan, cold, noisy. Haworth YH was none of these, in fact the opposite. I really enjoyed my stay. Would definitely stay there again, and in fact I will now try other YHs.”
“Pros: - Excellent location, 1 min to Russell Square tube station so great to get around. - Affordable at ~£100 a week. - Great privacy with curtains on each bunk and a power socket. Bring a multi board with you to plug in more devices. Travel adapters are available at reception for £5. - Super quiet in comparison to other hostels. This is probably due to the fact that there's no onsite bar. Cons: - Rooms are saunas with no air con, even in the colder season! Try to get a North facing room with actual open windows (205 and 208). My south facing rooms had mesh covering the windows with almost no air flow. My room on the first floor was north facing but windows were boarded shut. This was the only room I'd stayed in with a small aircon unit on the ground, though it didn't cool the room, was loud and you'd only feel the aircon if you were in the two bunks next to the unit. - Staff are generally pretty unfriendly, even for London standards you just know they don't wanna be there. - Stairs. Lot's of them. - Kitchen and dining area are reserved for staff providing breakfast untill 10.30 am. Make other arrangements if you're not having the continental breakfast at the hostel. Note the breakfast is £2 and is only toast, Nutella, jam, butter, corn flakes, oats, OJ, apple juice, coffee and tea. - Kitchen is super small. In the evening after 6pm it becomes quite hard to get in there. Try stick to microwave meals as getting use of the oven can be a long wait. - Laundry rooms are reserved untill 3pm each day for staff. There was one working washing machine and two dryers whilst I was there. A nightmare to get one as its so busy. Note there's a great laundromat up the road that's about £5 total, same price as the hostel but no queue and better facilities! - The combined shower and toilet ensuite rooms are so tiny, it's easier to use the communal showers instead. In saying that, 205 and 208 had good sized separate shower and toilet rooms so I'd recommend those rooms over others.”
“Good: Budget nights. Kind staffs. Might be good place for making friends Best dorm hostel for cleanliness. Bad: poor showering facility, but clean. Malfunctions found in shower head.”
“Such lovely and helpful staff members. Had a lovely stay at the hostel and they made it nicer. The only thing I was gutted about was the shower next door to our room was broke and we has to go upstairs to a different floor for it. But would definitely stay again!”
“I stayed Saturday and Sunday night, I advice if you plan on going to sleep before 3 am to choose somewhere else on a Saturday night as being on top of a Pub they have raging party's ;) :D That was the only Negative, some extra soundproofing would be nice. Beds were good although I felt my blanket was a bit short :') Power to your bed is great. Only two showers per level but it didn't seem to matter much, a wire box that's lockable in your room is helpful, washing machine and dryer were great although you need your own powder (can buy at desk). Cleaned once a day so unless there is lots of dirty muddy people it's good, breakfast is decent, cerials hot drinks juice toast yogurt cheese and meat, and the food at the bar is amazing. You get discounts on most things aswell. There is a train station 15m from the door which makes it easy to get into London. Definitely advice during the week buy on a weekend you may find it loud despite the earplugs that are provided.”
“the staff is very kind heart and very helpful. i booking wrongly date but she help me to fixed my booking on that day i arrived..very recommended”
“I booked a single room for my two-day stay in Cardiff. It’s located basically at the City Center. Extremely convenient if you wanna eat out, get cultured and go to cultural institutions (I recommend this!), [window] shopping, or just bar hop around the area. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The room, kitchen, showers, and lounge are very clean and well maintained. I loved it very much. Thank you for an amazing atmosphere! I will definitely come back here!”
“I stayed in a 4 bed room, though there were only 3 of us in the room on the night I stayed. I wasn't keen on the ensuite bathroom - it is like being on a ship. I would prefer a bathroom away from the room, due to the noise of the fan and shower etc. I would guess if you were a light sleeper and there were more people in the room this could be quite annoying. There was nothing else to dislike. It's a hostel. There was a lot of noise in the early hours from an excitable group of foreign students, which woke me up twice, but I'm sure we've all been there!! I booked this hostel due to the fact there was a car park. Well equipped self catering kitchen which was clean and tidy. Friendly people and just a walk away from some of the main museums. I will stay again, even though I now live closer, just to go to the museums and visit the area.”
“I believe I paid too cheap for such facilities I enjoyed. The room, the bed, and the shower room are completely clean and excellent. It has a clean communal kitchen with complete free facilities to use. However, it's a bit far from City centre. I came there by car, so it was not a problem for me. Otherwise, there's a bus stop just next to it, so it should not be any issue to reach the city centre.”
“Staff are friendly and helpful. They are willing to share with us the attractions nearby. Also, it is an unforgettable experience for staying in a historic building in Edinburgh. Also, it is very cheap and the location is very good that it is near to most attractions. The kitchen is very large that it was not crowded even when there are many people in it. Also, they provide us free coffee, tea and chocolate and necessary cooking equipment. I have met so many nice travellers and we all had a good time here. The common area is nice and cozy that allowed us to chat happily. They also hold different activities to gather travellers making this living experience a memorable one. It is probably one of the best hostels I have ever stayed!”
“We actually got a better deal with Agoda website than paying directly, so it only cost us just over £21 for two of us in a six bed dorm. Facilities were basic but clean, and much better than another hostel in the city (which we won't name). We would have given 5 stars for facilities if there had been lockers in the room. A towel would have been nice but, as it's a backpackers, perhaps that's being unfair - especially for the price we paid.”
“Brighton Home has some excellent features: the responsive and caring staff, the beds have privacy curtains, the showers and toilets are clean spacious and available. and the location is close to green areas, shopping and quality restaurants at reasonable prices. It is definitely a good value for the money. There are some facets I would have preferred to be different: the reception area is inside the nightclub which can be noisy and crowded and not conducive to quality communication, the breakfast area is in the basement with no natural light source and the linen on my bed needed to be changed and was not prepared when I arrived. , My phone was stolen off of my bed while I was sleeping in it, This soured my overall impression. I am told that this is a rare occurrence. This could have occurred in any temporary lodgings. As they say, you roll the dice and you take your chances.”
“This place was amazing and not what we were expecting when we booked a hostel at the price we paid! It was decorated lovely, it was clean, the staff were helpful. There is a great locker/luggage area which came in handy. There is a really nice big bar with cheap drinks. The rooms are small but clean and have storage. The location was the best part about it, just off the Royal Mile in the middle of everything! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Edinburgh. Friends of ours stayed in a hotel around the corner and paid 3 x the price and the only difference was the view from their room!”
“Good base if one wants to mountain climb, socialise and some quietness. I is located far away from town centre, with no wifi and lines for phone calls. Nice place for quiet time and chill with family members. To get into place, the last 1 mile is on a 1 way rough laterite road, a chanlleges if one uses a small city car, otherwise not an issue. All in all good value for money.”
“Location is unbeatable, right next to the Waverley & Central between old town & new town. I got the double ensuite with the best view oversee the station & Princes Street and with most reasonable price during my stay (+30£). The Inn has the lift for heavy baggage travelers, Breakfast is good & free if booking direct. Highly recommended”
“Great time spent here visiting the castle, cathedral and watching the fireworks on the beach. A must visit for any visitor to the UK”
“We arrived at The Landmark Hotel and was told we could check in early. We were so pleased and grateful to hear that our room has been upgraded to an executive room as it was our 15th wedding anniversary. We were given a guided tour around the hotel by two lovely members of staff who also showed us to our room. The room itself did not disappoint, it was breathtakingly beautiful. During our stay we also had cream tea at The Gazebo it was exceptional. Upon return to our room we had yet more surprises, strawberries, flowers and cards for our wedding anniversary. What a lovely touch! Breakfast in The Atrium was beautiful the Winter Garden is stunning. The service we received again was exceptional. Every single member of staff made us feel so special. We will certainly be returning soon to The landmark Hotel. This has to be the best hotel we have ever stayed at. If you want luxury, the best service from staff, beautiful surroundings, amazing food. Then this is your hotel! Well done The Landmark Team”
“We enjoyed our stay at Knights Residence at the beginning of our trip to Scotland. The hotel has a convenient and reasonably priced car park, very helpful for us since we had a car in order to visit other parts of the country later in the trip. We received a very warm welcome from Chris, the manager on duty. The hotel provides some basics on arrival - bread, milk, tea, coffee - very thoughtful! Tesco is around the corner. The unit had a nice apartment style layout, with a nice assortment of entertainment and full kitchen (the reason for my 5 rating). The location is very convenient, there are good restaurants nearby, and it's an easy walk to get to Edinburg Castle. All in all this hotel is a good value, the rooms are impeccably clean and the location is convenient. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night, on Friday night the neighborhood was noisy due to some nearby bars, this was the only negative. I highly recommend Knights Residence and would stay again.”
“We loved this hotel. And that says a lot because we are very picky and high maintenance. I originally wanted to stay at the Four Seasons and I’m so glad we decided on this boutique 5 star hotel. The staff was was increasingly service oriented. They reached out in advance and really dotted on us the entire trip. The location was perfect. Close to everything. We walked to a lot of places. Loved loved loved it.”
“This is my third time to stay at this hotel. I booked the executive room so can enjoy the excecutive lounge service. They offer non -stop drinks and food during specific time which is excellent which not many other hotels in Europe will do the same. Their breakfast at lobby is more than excellent!!! All the food is fresh and specially made. I really enjoy to stay at this hotel”
“The hotel is beautiful in every way. The staff are very friendly and really tried their best to keep the hotel running. Our initial room's air con was not working so we were upgraded to the Queen's suite for our entire stay which was about 9 days! My kids were over the moon obviously. The hotel had some issues with an over heated server that set the sprinklers off in the room above mine which caused water to leak from the ceiling in my toilet but i could see that the staff were really doing all they could to rectify the situation. I really can't fault them in any way. I would stay here again. About a 10 minutes walk to South Kensington station and beautiful residential area. However, there isn't much shopping around but lots of lovely restaurants. A great choice in the South Kensington area. Thank you so much for the upgrade!!”
“A nice hotel with a nice location , 10 min from most shopping malls. a professional staff with the best training- the food was perfect. the hotel condition was perfect the suite I booked was very nice with a wonderful bathroom.”
“From the moment our car approaching the hotel the hotel staff is coming up to gree us, smooth checking in, valet parking, handling our luggages to each room, showing us the hotel facilities, guiding us to each rooms, showing our point of interests and providing guidance with local map. When we use the hotel mineral hot spring bath pool the staff provide us with bathing suite with very reasonable price for one of our family member did not pack his swim pants. There's one staff at the pool to provide guidance and assistance with towels and drinks that make us the most relaxing family bath experience. But the best is yet to come, after we retire to our room, ready to sleep, I suddenly felt ill due to catching cold while walking over cold ocean water at Mt. St. Michael and ate disagreeable food on the road during the day before arriving hotel. I called house keeping service to bring hot water and 2 extra bath towels to my room. Within 3 minutes, one gentleman brought 2 bath towels to my room, after knowing I felt ill, he adjusted the thermo in my room to make sure I'm in comfortable warm temperature after he left then the second gentleman walked in with set of hot water, he poured and set the hot water table near where I seat after he make sure I'm comfortable then left and closed the door behind him. The kind words and gestures of the night house keeping staffs makes me so grateful. After taking medication I brought from home with me and a good night sleep, I was fully recovered in the morning and able to continue our traveling in UK. From the moment we approaching the hotel until the moment we leaving the hotel, the hotel staffs are always there ready to give assistance. It's this kind of human experiences that makes this place the most uniquely outstanding.”
“It's a pitty it does not have a swimming pool for a 5-star establishment. It is not fancy but manages well squeezing everything else in an old building. Metro station right across the street and within walking distance to the river. Staff performed well. The concierge we spoke with about getting transportation to the airport did not appear to be knowledgeable of the market situation. We did manage to find a few leads online and booked a ride for about half the price for a hotel's car. Breakfast room can get crowded and the staff get a bit flustered sometimes. Overall it was a positive experience staying at the hotel.”
“Planned my proposal and this was the hotel we stayed at after. We'd never stayed at a Hilton and I booked a king room. They upgraded us to deluxe for free and then offered us executive for £35. Obviously we said yes because that came with access to the executive lounge. Free afternoon tea, evening drinks and breakfast the next day. Amazingly attentive staff and the real impression that nothing was too much trouble.”
“Without a doubt the best place we have ever stayed in London. Every member of staff were incredibly accommodating, professional and friendly, especially Giovanni (front of house) who upgraded us to a riverview suite because there were no suites ready when we first arrived (which was 9am). He took our moble number and called when the suite was available, outstanding service, can't wait to go back.”
“I was staying in another hotel during my first 5 days in London, then was off to York for 2N before returning to London for my last 3N, where I was booked at the Principal. I was unsure where best to store a big luggage bag prior to my travel to York as the other hotel's policy did not allow overnight storage . I called up the Principal to get their suggestion and an extremely helpful representative called Hamza offered me to store my luggage there instead, even though I had not checked in. What a big relief that was to me, the various external paid options all came with logistical challenges. When i arrived at the hotel, everyone at the Principal from the doorman to concierge was so professional and helpful that I felt very assured that the luggage would be safe. I enjoyed my stay at the Principal very much. The hotel was magnificent and grand, the room with the vintage decor was superb. There was even a tuck box filled with snacks for the guest! Will def return for a longer stay!”
“what a gorgeous hotel! You can easily get lost through the halls because it's so huge but you really wouldn't mind because the decor is amazing! We got a fantastic deal, saving a couple of hundred pounds which was fab! The staff were exceptional, we arrived early so couldn't check in yet and the lady at reception seeing we were suited and booted for a wedding offered to have our bags taken up so that we could head off. When we returned to check in (a little worse for wear) the lovely security directed us to reception, the gent on reception gave us really good (and simple) directions to our room and we felt really looked after.! Our room was beautiful, it felt really grand with an extra high ceiling and a bed which could fit me (5ft 10) and my husband (6ft5) starfishing and still room between us-and it was extremely comfortable! I don't mind that our room was on a busy road (and i could hear revellers on the friday night), as i sleep through anything but if youre a light sleeper i would recommend requesting a quieter room. we didnt get to sample the bar/restaurant which is a shame as the bar was the main reason we booked (we were just to tired to fancy a drink) but were returning in January and cannot wait! i have no idea why this isnt a 5 star hotel! it certainly felt like one.”
“Marvin & buddhika, you guys recently helped me with reservation and check in on Feb 6. Thanks to you and the other staff, The rooms were clean and comfortable. I can say this is one of the best hotels we stayed in London,The room was very, very clean and modern. The staff at the front desk was very friendly, helpful and professional.. I definitely would stay at this hotel again. 5 star rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“The room I booked online was not the same for its square meter and it was not looking to a day light. In the picture I had from Agoda, There was a nice window and sofa Room service takes 30 - 45 minutes for a wine and never the orders came in rightly. First night dinner at the restaurant I asked first 250 ml red wine and then a glass came in and I thought it was the half but then I re-ordered this time 250 and it came with caraf but they charged me for both 250 ml in total 500 ml. I tried to explain them and their explanation was they poured the 250ml caraf into one wine glass. 250 ml caraf wine probably will not fit into a glass. I did not make it a real problem and left. Then I had order an other one to my room next day, 250ml, came as a bottle. But the last is the best, they have charged me that bottle twice to my receipt, and although had breakfast for one, charged 2 people because I am in twin room. If I had not checked, it would go to my credit card and I got no apologies...”
“I booked this hotel as my daughter & I had tickets to watch Britain’s got talent auditions the location was fantastic as the London palladium was around the corner and the bonus being all staff crew ,acts and judges where based here , the hotel was spotless , warm and felt very luxurious would definitely book again . Mandy & Emily from Devon ”
“Booked a junior suite for 3 travellers. The pull out sofa was perfect for our teenager. The room came with a great patio but as it was winter we were not able to enjoy it. The room came with a nespresso machine, ironing board and the usual amenities. Housekeeping was very responsive, providing frequent towel changes in view of the damp weather at this time of year. The room service menu was excellent and delicious, coming from the Gordon Ramsey restaurant at the hotel. The hotel is located very near the shops at Oxford Street and the subway stop Bond Street. It was also a short walk to a catholic church for the holiday masses and to Hyde Park to enjoy the beautiful landscapes. We really enjoyed our stay.”
“I booked the business class rooms as I was arriving in Manchester early morning but was unable to get an early check in. The receptionist said they were running full. Hence I had a shower in the spa and left to do my stuff in the city center. Having visited the united kingdom many times, this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in Manchester and will be back here for sure.”
“It was the perfect romantic break from first stepping through the door we felt like VIP's. the hotel was very secure the staff were perfectively attentive. The bedroom well what can I say but "wow" the bed went on forever and was the ultimate in comfort, as i do love my high thread-count sheets though this is the first time I've had them even though I've stayed in 5* hotels before. The heating, lighting etc could be set at whatever you chose with an easy to work gadget on the bedside wall. We didn't use the hotel facilities at all but for no other reason than we went out early in the morning and didn't get back till late so too exhausted to try, it was our first visit to London so did all the touristy things but next time we come back, and we will be back to the ME hotel then we will try the hotel facilities. Best break away I've ever had.”
“The hotel was great, staff went out their way to help and were friendly and chatty whilst remaining professional. Overall a great stay and fantastic location just off of Princes street for shopping and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to tourists and business travellers. The heatlh suite was a little dated but I think this ,ay be being refurbished in the near future. No chance of a massage either- as the spa was fully booked for the whole month! So book ahead if you want to be pampered during your stay!”
“I had to book here last minute due to my air bnb host going awol on me... ON MY BDAY! Anyway thanks goodness! It was a blessing. This aparthoted had all the same facilities if not better. Staff where friendly. We stay in the signature studio which I think is the entry level for this hotel and it was beautiful! I was able to cool everyday and enjoy a powerful shower in a big spaced bathroom. The pool had a luxurious feel to it and the jucuzzi was the hottest most relaxing one I’ve been in! (And I love a good hot tub). Also agoda saved me by being price competitive and overall it was a blessing in disguise:) Thanks all”
“Our stay at The Scotsman Hotel was the best foot put forward at the onset of our day one of UK tour.location could not have been better.
“We were delighted with our choice for this visit to Manchester. We didnt want to stay in the centre but wanted to be within walking distance. The location is perfect. The hotel is spotless clean and bright and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed for two nights. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely receptionist. Our room was lovely. It was bright and tastefully decorated with a free soft drink minibar provided along with robes and slippers. The hotel is located on First Street, a newly developed area with bars and restaurants and next door to Home, a theatre, restaurant & cinema complex. The are is still being developed but we are already looking forward to returning in the near future. Breakfast was good, the restaurant is bright and spacious and we didnt get that crowded breakfast room feeling. We had dinner in the hotel on the Saturday night and it was lovely. Definitely recommend this hotel.”
“We booked this hotel after reading the reviews here. First, we loved the quieter but yet bustling location. It didn’t feel overwhelmingly busy but there is everything you would need and more. The tube is there for everything and the location was great. The people who work there was attentive and helpful. The “breakfast” was good for us as a takeaway snack during our day out. It was perfect as that mid-afternoon snack (pastry, fruit, and juice). We really appreciated having it when moving through London. The water closet, sink and shower are all separated and the shower stall is tight. I think that if you are larger in stature, you will find it very tight. Lastly, the fact that they had a free smart phone for us to use was the best thing ever. I didn’t have to look for WiFi or use my international plan.... you can wipe the phone clean on your last day there! Thank you for such an easy stay!”
“the hotel staff was friendly & helpful. the minute the hotel reception retrieved my booking, she knew that i am a hilton member & immediately upgraded our room to a suite! it was a wonderful surprise! the room was spacious & the beds were really comfortable. we also liked the crabtree & evelyn toiletries provided. as the hotel was just a few mins walk from the metro, it was very convenient getting around. oxford street & hyde park are about 20mins walk from the hotel. there were also supermarkets within walking distance. what was also convenient was that there is a shuttle bus that the concierge can arrange for you to go from hotel to bicester village!! we paid 23pounds per person for that. well worth the convenience! my parents & i enjoyed our stay at hilton!”
“Please indicate on Agoda booking form that NO TWIN BEDS are available. I was not told this BEFORE my booking was accepted and payment locked in. With the AGODA policy of NO REFUNDS for any reason, this meant that I could not do anything but continue with the experience. It would have changed my mind on booking if I had known. This said, It was a lovely room, bathroom, great shower and the body/hair formula of Rosemary and Cypress was heavenly. Thanks for that treat! Sign says: Best Possible Coffee which I will definitely have next time I visit, and stay at, The Pilgrm. Asked about the spelling of the name, and didn't get an answer that made sense. Seems a great marketing opportunity lost - MAKE UP A GOOD STORY if there isn't one already, why not! It's a distinction! Cheers.”
“I have re-booked this hotel as I had very positive feedback since my first visit (31-Mar to 06-Apr 2019). So I'm going to repeat the same comments during my first visit. My booked room was: Deluxe Double Studio (~ 18 m2). Despite the room was little small, I really felt like I'm in my home. Advantages: 1- The Hotel looks like new. 2- Most of the important and required items/facilities are available like: small pantry with dishes, coffee machine, water Kettle, Microwave, Fridge, Free WiFi, Iron, Good AC ). 3- The bed was very comfortable. 4- Good toilet and new. It is not big and not small. 5- The Hotel's location in between of two train stations (Lancaster Gate, & Paddington) within 3-4 min walk. 6- A lot of supermarkets are nearby restaurants, as well as Pharmacy. 7- Easy check-in and Check-out. 8- Very quiet Hotel. 9- You can ask for bottle of water any time free of charge. (They are not keeping it every day in the room) Disadvantages: No hotel restaurant”
“The hotel was awesome and in a great location. It was a 2 minute walk to the Tube (district an circle lines)and above ground rail. A 5 minute walk to Tower of London and Tower Bridge 10 minutes to Borough Market. The room was a nice size, we were upgraded upon arrival and it very clean. The girlfiend and I really loved the MAC computer and free WiFi in the room it was great for keeping in contact with family back in Scotland an Canada. We didn't eat in the hotel but we found a great little cafe a 5 minute walk from the hotel (mounument tube st) was great for breakie and all sorts of other shops. I can't say enough about the hotel great value for money. It was the 3rd time I've stayed in London in the last 15 months and by far the best the best experience. Oh I didn't mention the view from the rooftop patio absolutely stunning. I would stay there again or at another hotel in the chain. I have stayed in 6 different cities in Europe in the last 2/12 years and by far the best quality and value. The only issue was we stayed Sat-Tues and there was a construction site nearby so on the Mon-Tues it was alittle loud in the morning as our window was open. It sereved as our wakeup call LOL !!!”
“The hotel is located near Lancaster Gate station, and within comfortable walking distance to Paddington Station and Bayswater/Queensway (where there are ample of food options). We had two separately bookings. Our first booking was in the business double room. The room was new and clean. We had expected the room to be small (from reviews), but it was comfortable enough for two people, with ample luggage storage space under the bed. (You can open up your luggage and slide it in and out from under the bed to access your things, while ensuring that you have good walking space.) Basic amenities (shower soap, body wash, coffee, tea) were provided. Our second stay was in the executive double. Room was slightly older (though with a nice English home feel), spacious with additional amenities (including a coffee machine!). We initially had some concerns with our bookings, and wrote to the hotel to seek clarification. Manager Andreu had went the extra mile to help resolve our issue.”
“I have found my new favourite hotel in London, situated in the heart of the city, very close to all the fun places plus the underground. This hotel is clean, comfortable and beautiful. The staff were helpful and amazing. The room space is great which is very rare in London. Breakfast is the best i have ever had in London. I will definitely staff here again and recommend to all my friends and family”
“Best location for airport transfer to and from Gatwick, just across the train station (Victoria railroad st). Our stay was very comfortable, the beds are great and the hotels is very clean. Courteous staff, good attitude. Very helpful concierge. Great breakfast! High variety of foods. The only downside: a very small small bottle of water costs 5 pounds! I gave the water to my kid and I drank tap water, at any risk. Also, they carry only heavy glass bottles of water, no plastic bottles. Every "extra" is very pricey (exaggerated) - much more so than at most Hilton hotels. Overall, a 4 star experience in a 4 star hotel. I only wish they did not welcome you with an empty fridge... no set-up mini-bar (not even for pay) and no water. You need to ask for water and snacks, and they come at 5 times their regular price.”
