Disappointing service at an otherwise nice hotel”

Nice room, good location, 24 hour pool

The personnel at check in were rude and abrupt. We also had an issue with the individual who oversees the pool, who clearly had an inferiority complex of some kind and sought to compensate for it by treating the hotel pool like his personal fiefdom. The room was nice and clean and the location is good, as the hotel is squarely in downtown Grand Rapids. There are a number of good bars and restaurants within a five minute walk.
