Lovely cottage in a quiet location”
You get what you pay for, no thrills, but the mattres was comfy and the mosquito net did the job. The only down side is that the two cottages we stayed in were infested with Rats. Within minutes of turning the light off you have company, beside and above your head. Not a lot of sleep for me over three nights.
Really like the location of Cozy Cove, near sunset beach but with access to a private beach shared with only one other resort. The bungalow w/ fan was very basic but great for the price and the staff was very nice in letting us extend a few days.
Just a couple minutes walk to quietest beach on the island”
Great little bungalows here with big bed, comfy mattresses, mosquito nets, and fan. Just a couple minutes walk down to the quietest beach on Koh Lipe, and the little cove connects with the eastern beaches! Awesome time here. Might want to be aware there's only a single outlet, so you should charge devices during the day, so you can sleep with a fan on.
Perfect location on (private)sunsetbeach”
Location is indeed very cozy right next to the sunset beach. Only 1 other hotel has access to this beach which made it very quiet so we were alone on the beach most of the time. The staff was very helpful and the bungalow had everything it needed.
An amazing bungalow on our own secluded beach”
It’s basic but the room’s clean, everything works and the staff are lovely. There’s a hot shower and AC. Koh Lipe is expensive but this was reasonably priced and we got an amazing deal on extending. We have an uninterrupted view of the beach where you can chill or snorkel. There’s a small bar serving basic drinks and Thai food 20m away and almost every time we went down we were the only ones on the beach. 10 minutes walk from Walking Street (the Main Street through the island) and 15 minutes walk from Pattaya Beach. Perfect location away from the noise and a pleasant stroll to the main area for restaurants and shops. You can get a salang (motorbike and side car) taxi from arriving on the island to Cozy for just 50 baht each. Will definitely be staying here again when I come back
1st night we stayed here we very nearly got burgled at 5am. I woke up to some noise and rustling about, thought nothing of it and layed back down. Heard it again opened my eyes and a man was at my window sliding the bamboo pin up from the outside which locks the window. I shouted and he ran off. When i told the owner the next morning i was expecting him to say he would secure the window with more wood or somthing. Wrong... he just sympathised and said other people had been burgled at a hotel up the road a month before and didnt offer to secure our window so we moved accomodation. Bungalows are pretty nice and was looking forward to staying but if you have alot of tech with you e.g laptops cameras ect i wouldnt stay here
Lovely stay in beachfront bungalow”
We stayed in a bungalow right above the beach and had a great time. Room was clean and comfortable. We were a group of 3 so they put an extra mattress on the floor. Porch was great to hang out on, with sea views through the trees. The beach in the cove is nice but not amazing, but the best beach on the island is just around the corner (3-5 mins walk). The owner is friendly and helpful. The centre of town is a 10 minute walk away or you can take a taxi. Perfect for those on a budget who are looking for somewhere quiet and near the beach.
Excellent Stay at Cosy AAA+++++”
we had a great stay at cosy cove, the owner and his wife are very nice and willing to help in anyway they can, the location is perfect a small cove right between sunset beach and sunrise beach which are both accessible via the beach if your happy to get your feet wet, and a short walk into the main food busy street, we have young children and they had no problem with the walk to town, its quiet and breezy listening to waves wash at night, hot water and aircon. and a chaiselounge to chill out on the balcony. its a great family spot or a romantic getaway, its not a generic hotel with wifi mod cons etc, but an authentic stay in a thai family run business, with only a few cabins. I will always stay here when visiting Lipe.
A resort with a great view”
It all started out that I couldn't find any more available rooms during the holiday period. I managed to get a booking for Cozy Cove. The owner of the place was a nice guy. Helping out with our luggage to our room. Take note that The resort is way up the hill and you have to walk down a relatively steep slope to your resort. The view from our room is fascinating. With the blue ocean just in front of our room. The room condition was okay, but a bit of a dust. The towel and blanket was a bit old. Getting around the island was a hassle as it's far away from the Walking Street where all the hype is about. There is also a steep slope where the motorbike taxi has to travel. I have to take Taxi everything I need to go to the town. 50baht per person, 100 for 2 persons. Overall, despite the Excellent view, nothing is fantastic for this resort. Try to choose resort which is more accessible or near to the Walking street near Pattaya Beach.
Bamboo huts are far better than a room with air-conditioning, the breeze runs through the walls which allow lovey dappled light through during the day. Shop has water, beer, coffee etc. location great, what more could you want.
Very basic bungalow. Near beach. Great value for Koh Lipe. Budget travelers will love.
Peaceful. Great sunset spot. ”
I paid £44 per night for a seaview, air conditioning room at the end of April 2018. The room is clean. Mattress not the best but comfortable enough to sleep on. It is very quiet here. Good if you're here to get away from busy lifestyle. 50 baht is standard price for taxi to walking street or anywhere on the island. I recommend bring some ice back and put in a cooler box they supply to put your water and other drinks in as there is no fridge here. There is a kettle and tv in the room not that anyone wants to watch TV right? If you want your room cleaned then you need to ask. They will leave you alone the whole time you're here unless you ask for something ie. 2 bottles of water daily. They will wash your clothes for 60 baht a kilo. That is pretty much the same everywhere. Private beach only shared with one other resort. Amazing sunset here. But be warned to put plenty of anti mosquitoes and sand flies spray on as they will bite you even through your thin clothing especially during dusk.
A peaceful place with superb location”
This place is a gem on this island. Located on the quiet side of the island with a beautiful location. Place is slightly dated, but the location and peacefulness compensates this! If you are looking for a place to relax and are not a big fan of crowded beaches, this is the place for you!
Simple Bambus Bungalow in silent site”
Very basic typically local Bungalow, no furniture except a sleeping mat and a mosquito net. Low price but we missed the typical nice Thai athmosphere. WIFI was very weak and does not work in the Bungalow, you have to go to the reception for use.
Good if you are interested of Thai lifestyle ”
Only the owner speak English.. The room after 4 days not be cleaned.. The location it's far from the walking street and you must pay taxi to go and come .. Facilities nan .. You must like this caind of stay otherwise don't even think about it..
Stay here if you can afford the more expensive bungalows. ”
I stayed here because there appeared to be big reduction from normal. There are 2 types on offer. The cheaper ones are poor quality and in need of renovation. I've stayed in better for less money elsewhere. The location has a good outlook over Sunset beach, 15 minutes walk from Walking Street
Over priced huts in the field”
Over all the huts are ok very basic side by side in midle of field. Over priced like everything in this island. Price off huts like cozy cove ste around 250-400 bath. There was no any personality in this hut place.
The bamboo huts are not cozy. The matress is on the ground and there's no small light. There's only one plug which is defenetly needed for the fan so non left for electronical devices. The shower is badly constructed, the water doesn't float out, it stays in the room for a day at least. There's no real common area to have a cozy break.
A nice change from noisy and crowded Pattaya beach, be prepared for lots of climbing as a long steep staircase is the way to the beach, not to mention the rocky, root covered path up to the main road. Definitely got my exercise. The frogs in the bathroom were a nice change from Pattaya's cockroaches. A long walk or taxi from walking street.
Close to sunset beach”
The bungalow was fine. It was essentially a raised bamboo hut with an attached concrete bathroom. I think this is pretty traditional living for the area. Mosquito net included and a fan. I feel I overpaid for what I got but koh lipe is expensive so I guess it's all relative but $30 per night is expensive compared to what you get compared to the rest of Thailand and Malaysia.
