The price for a private single room (though without private bathroom) is almost the same as a bunk bed among all hostels in Hualien. Though it's a private room, it's large enough for your suitcase. The mattress is neither too hard nor too soft.Perfect for those who need privacy and a deep sleep. Meanwhile, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and can give you some sightseeing advice.

Cozy as it claims”
Room 202 is equipped simply with a single bed, a bedside table, a single sofa and a little table, but these work just fine for a backpacker. As for the public area, there are nice big sofas and cushions for you to relax, perfect for reading, gaming, or chatting. A nightly cost for a single room is almost the same as a bunk bed in a hostel. Totally worth it.

Got a very roomy single room with a comfortable bed, nightstand, small table, armchair, half mirror, and window for a little over $15 USD per night. Had to share a bathroom with two other rooms on my floor, but generally the bathroom was very clean, although I needed to provide my own towel. The location was <15 min walk from the Hualien train station and ~25 min away from the Dongdamen night market, and located in a quiet neighborhood although not very close to any convenience stores. Very helpful and friendly staff (Nick) gave me a lot of recommended places to eat. Overall, an excellent deal if you want a quiet place of your own to stay in Hualien City and you don't mind walking.

The room was clean & spacious and the shared toilet was also kept very clean. Towels & toothbrushes can be rented. The hostel is located in an alley and just 2 min by foot away from the main road (中山). It's about 10min by foot from Hualien station. The lady staffing the hostel during our stay, Sunny, was very friendly and warm. :) We were assigned a room on the 4th level and there were no elevators. It was alright for us because we're carrying backpacks, but travellers with kids/elderly/luggages might want to take note!

Location is convenient yet it's not facing busy road, this hostel has tranquil atmosphere once you are in. Rooms are generously spacious, mattress and beddings are good quality. Things are well organized in details where I can see the hospitality of the staff and the owner. I'm so settled here that I am droping the idea of traveling to another big cities too soon.

Super cozy”
As per the hotel's name and photos, it is super cozy and made our stay at Hualien very comfortable. All photos are as per how they look in real. Only downside is that the location is a distance away from Hualien Station and there is no elevator so you will need to lug your belongings up and down the stairs.

Comfortable hostel, excellent and friendly staff ”
The hostel was a tad far if you're carrying a huge luggage under a hot sun, but otherwise, it is an excellent, comfortable and affordable place to stay in for the days in Hualien. I stayed in a double room, the toilet was clean and the room was spacious and gorgeous. The hostel itself was beautifully furnished from the living room at the first floor, all the way to the second (I stayed at the second floor). The room also had everything we need - shampoo, hair dryer, towels & hangers. Lina and Pinky were very friendly and hospitable, and interacted very well with us. (We spoke to them mainly in Chinese, but their English is just as good!) When they knew we were going Taroko, they prepped breakfast for us (a drink and a bread), something I deeply appreciated. There are bikes from the hostel you can use, but they might not be available. Also, remember to set your shoes and slippers by the door and use the hostel's house slippers! In all, l'll be heading back if I can.

Helpful staff, good for Taroko Gorge, clean rooms”
Stayed in a dorm room ( 3 single beds) as well as a single room. Rooms are big enough. Shared bathroom at every level-clean. Kind of kitchenette and living room on the ground floor. Breakfast 8:30-9:30. If you leave earlier for Taroko for instance, hosts are happy to provide you a snack box. Took advantage of it twice and wasn't disappointed. Location is easy to find. 10-15min to main station, appr. 20-30 min by foot to night market and tourist area. Cozy house provides bikes though. I enjoyed my stay and can only recommend Cozy House, when planning to go to Hualien.

Cozy, Warm & Welcoming”
Walking distance to train station & main city, place is very clean, cozy & homely warm feel, you feel so comfortable in this awesome setting that i can just laze around there the whole day. Bed is spacious for a 6-beds room, can put all my stuffs nicely on the table beside the bed. The whole place is so classy. Met so many awesome friends there & had so much fun that i really do not want to leave this place. 人情味100分, simply a must stay in Hualien. special thanks to the staff for making my trip in Hualien memorable & unforgettable experience, 大大肑赞!!!

The warmest hospitality ”
Firstly, the location of the cozy house is just perfect, it is very close to the breakfast shop and convenient shop. Secondly, the staff are all very helpful and the way how they serve and assist me was just so nice. Definitely will introduce to my friends and relatives and sure I will stay again at this warm and nice cozy house on my next visit to Hualien.

a chic hostel, the staff are friendly & excellent”
the double room i stayed was nice, clean & new, and same as the photos shown. when i checked in, the young guy took the initiative to suggest his recommendations on food, cafe and travel spots, very helpful & friendly. And his recommendations were worth to go! the young lady was also nice & very helpful on suggesting where to go. It was a lovely stay. Will definitely choose this hostel again when i come back Hualien! The only thing to deduct marks is the location a bit far from train station & the city centre. But taxi is cheap there!

The location of the hostel is conveniently located at the center of Hualien, near the main road going to the night market, and the train station, takes 15 minute walk to Hualien train station. It’s also near establishments such as restaurants, groceries, bank, convenient stores. The room (single room, shared bathroom) where i stayed is clean and well maintained. Staffs are also friendly and accommodating, and speaks English well.

Cozy House feels as cosy as home”
Owner Jacob was really helpful in terms of recommending tourism spots in Hualien. He was very friendly and hospitable. The rooms were very clean and tidy, with comfortable beds. In the dormitories, each bed has a power socket and a lamp. My stayin Cozy House was very comfortable and enjoyable.

Very cozy place to stay overnight”
About 5 to 10 minutes walk for Hualien train station. The front desk (Jack, Nick when I checked in and a lady when I checked out) is very friendly. They will try to answer any questions your may have regarding Hualien/Taiwan. Simple clean and comfy room. I like the sitting area where you can chill after a tiring day out. However, please take note the check in time is 3pm. I was there at 2:30pm and there were no person to attend to me. I could not even enter the premise. Perhaps that is something the management can look into. Even we cannot go into the room, at least there is a reception to allow us to leave our luggages etc.

Cozy room, awesome staff”
I travelled from Kaohsiung to Hualien and didn't expect that it would be a long journey. I will only reached at 11.45pm and this hostel's check in is until 9pm and their reception desk is opened until 11pm. Their staff waited for me as I rushed over. Really welcoming and friendly! They were helpful as well. I love the room a lot. It's very cozy, the bed, pillow and blanket is very fluffy and I love it! I slept well. There's plenty of power sockets as well. 2 were at the side of the bed which is convenient and the others were near the desk. The decorations make me feel at home too. I would definitely come back again!

Nice owner, nice stay!”
I really enjoyed staying in Cozy House. Jacob, the owner was a super nice young man. He showed me around the city and took my to some very nice local restaurants. The rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. The living room is a great place to make friends, we had movie night there with new friends. The hostel is about 15 minutes walk to the railroad station, also the Taiwan-Tour shuttle bus start point, you won't miss your train or bus. :)

Even though not located near Hualien train station but reachable with 10-15 walking distance. Hostel provides free bicycle facilities that can be used to cycle to night market within 10 min ride. The hostel helpers Tasha and Carmen all very friendly and helpful, making my 2 nights in Hualien a great stay. The 3 beds dormitory room I stayed was cozy and clean. Too bad I missed their breakfast which my Mainland Chinese roomates feedback was very delicious and tasty. I hope my next trip I get to enjoy that.
