Really ideal location ”

Very close to the visitor centre so this was a massive bonus if you are going on the hikes. Nearby also are many places to eat. The room we had had a neat little fireplace which warmed us up nicely. The room had everything we needed and was clean. I didn’t bother pulling out the sofa bed, it was fine just laying a blanket on it. Many windows also to let air out if needed. It was a pretty relaxing place to stay at and I would come back again.

No Complaint!”

We have no complaint with our stay. We stayed a night in the Cabin. The receptionist was very helpful in assisting us to sort out alternative plans for the day (as there are disruptions to the Dove Lake bus service). What came to our surprise was that the fireplace was turned on, the cabin was warmed and cozy! What better than this on a cold afternoon. The cabin was very clean, the kitchen was well equipped and the view to the bush was fabulous. Will definitely recommend this place to stay.

Cosy cabin in a beautiful setting with wildlife visitors”

I stayed in Bushman's Hut (each cabin has its own name). It has a double with a single bunk on it. The living space is quite small and would be crowded with 3 adults. Kitchen is well appointed with full oven and inverter microwave. Plenty of utensils and cookware for any kind of meal. Bathroom well appointed with necessities all provided. Excellent gas heater which is needed even in summer. The location is sensational. 3 minutes walk from the visitors' centre and shuttle buses. Of an evening, wallabies and pademelons might wander through the paths outside the huts to graze. Very cute! Highly recommended. Best value accommodation in the park.

The best place to stay in Cradle Mountain - and we've tried them all!”

We stayed in the Myrtle spa cabin and were absolutely blown away. The photos just don't do this place justice. A beautiful private view from the spa out to the forest. During our stay it snowed all night and waking up to the view of snow from all of the windows was magical. Having stayed at all of the other options in Cradle Mountain, this would have to be my favourite. It's one of those properties you really have to see in person to appreciate. So authentic and so much character. Incredible attention to detail in the cabin, the bathroom is brand new, bed super comfy and log fire roaring upon our arrival.

Lovely, quaint, Alpine retreat”

We spent two nights in this fabulous alpine retreat. We checked in on time and were directed to cottage 'Wombat'. It was wonderful. Spacious and clean it had all the niceties of home but set in the Cradle Mountain bush. We made good use of the wood burning stove to keep us snug and warm. Would highly recommend.

Love it”

Stayed here before and will stay again. Log cabin, wilderness feel, great location, staff were great, even though there are a quite a few cabins they are very private. The ones we've had have everything you need and very comfortable, the fire is very welcome in cool conditions. Very nice place and lay out.

Cosy wooden cabin”

We stayed in the 'Brushtail' studio cabin. It was spacious for a couple, but might have been a little more cramped for 4 (there is a queen bed and 2 bunks). The kitchen is well equipped and compact, the bathroom very generous. You can park right out front and there is a bench on the balcony if you have a fantasy of pickin' on your banjo on a cabin in the woods. The signs suggest wildlife is around, but we did not see any during our stay (but we did see evidence of their presence). Reception is friendly and efficient.

Amazing experience ”

My husband and I stayed 1 night (Lancelota) mid July and wish we’d opted to stay longer! Staff welcoming and very accommodating (including arranging early check-in) Staff even lit the cabin fire prior to our arrival! Fantastic warm, romantic accommodation with great facilities all round. Whilst the cabins are relatively close, you still feel remote with very quiet surroundings! Location in Cradle Mountain = perfect (opposite visitor centre on main road) Keep up the great work cradle mountain Highlanders! Highly recommend 🤩

Cosy, romantic and perfect location”

We absolutely loved the cabin (stayed in the Lancelota). The cabins are across the road from the visitor centre (where you need to purchase tickets to enter the National Park). We bought our own groceries along with us and the facilities in the cabin were plentiful to make everything we needed. The cute touch of having the log fire lit for us each night was lovely.

It’s just great”

We’ve stayed before and if you love the rustic log cabin in the woods feel, you’ll love Highlanders. Great location, staff great, cabins are secluded from each other and the ones I’ve had have everything you need. Comfy bed, fire, cooking facilities and plenty of hot water. It gets cool, but that’s what your there for - the snow and wilderness - it beautiful.

Magical Comfy”

We stayed in the Myrtle cabin. It was so lovely to come in from the weather to this beautiful little hideaway with its cosy fireplace and gorgeous furnishings. Nestled in the bush you really felt secluded even though there are other cabins around you. There are restaurants and cafes in the area within a short driving distance. The cabin was well equipped to cook for yourself if you desire. Absolutely fell in love with it.

Summer Weekend away”

This accomodation is prefect for a couple of nights away. It’s right across the road from the visitors centre to Cradle Mountain where you get the shuttle bus. The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Photos on the website don’t do it justice. Looks old in the photos and we were pleasantly surprised at how new everything felt, everything has been kept in good condition. The only small down side is that they don’t have a restaurant, but the other hotels are all within a short 2min car trip where you can go out for dinner. The cabins do have a good kitchen to cook in if you don’t want to go out. Bring your own food as they grocery store up here is very average. Already thinking of coming back again.
