Wonderful Cabins in a beautiful Setting and Convenient Location”

We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge with our two children, 7 and 9 and it was fantastic. Clean, comfortable and well equipped kitchenette. Great bathroom, comfortable beds. Located a short walk to the main Visitor's Information Centre meant we did not need to use our car once we arrived as we took the shuttle bus to the walking areas (everyone does, don't bother driving). Restaurant had share plates with great quality food (albeit smaller serves). Excellent, friendly staff and service. We will be back.

Look no further. This is where you want to stay”

Perfect location as it is right outside the Visitor Information Centre and also where you will need to jump on the shuttle to head up into the national park. The cabin was very clean and kept us warm with the panel heater and fire place. Food at the restaurant was good and well priced. Shared portions are generous and three selections were in fact too much for my wife and myself. Will not hesitate to stay here again.

Summer stopover”

We stopped for 2 nights. We loved the accommodation. It was perfect for our family of 4 and very clean. There wasnt a huge amount of crockery etc but it seemed to be exactly what we needed. It could be chilly in winter though. It is really close to the visitors centre. The lounge area for the resort is very nice and has a lovely area to hang out with games and books. The restaurant was nice but nothing mind blowing. The kids had pizza which was clearly straight out if the freezer. Saw wombats and wallabies on the grounds of the resort which was great too. We would certainly stay there again but would make sure we brought more perishables with us ie fruit and veg. While the shop has a good selection of non perishables ie pasta and UHT milk, there is nothing fresh. Cradle mountain is a great destination. Even with children aged 4 and 7 there were lots of walks we could do and others we could come back to do some other time. A beautiful area with lots of flora and fauna to see.

It was a long drive to Wilderness Village from Hobart but totally worth it. We had 2 possums visiting our balcony at night, had a great cookout and a very comfortable rest with the heated blankets they provided. The lodge was generally in excellent condition. The next morning we did the Dove Lake Circuit and saw some wombats on our drive out. Highly recommend this place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Wilderness Village. It is walking distance to the Cradle Mountain visitors centre and the cabin was cosy and spotlessly clean. The restaurant was excellent and the staff helpful and friendly. For a peaceful stay in such a beautiful it is certainly a high quality pick.

Wonderful place to stay at Cradle Mountain”

We were very happy with our chalet at Wilderness Village. We had a hot tub and after a full day of hiking -- we enjoyed having it. Having the extra space and a kitchen to cook breakfast and keep snacks was very nice. It was a great location, friendly staff and we were most satisfied. I would recommend Crade Mountain Wilderness Village. (we enjoyed our meal at the restaurant there also),.

Cozy Haven”

We hadn’t booked ahead so when we arrived there was only 2 bedroom Chalets available The room was lovely and spacious. We didn’t need 2 bedrooms however it was nice to have some extra room for our suitcases. It was a perfect location for our 2 days at Cradle Mountain. The food at the restaurant was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative...the pillows were very hard but the beds were comfy. Very happy with our stay.

The chalet was extremely comfortable. The location is good because it is just a short distance away from the Cradle Mountain Park entrance. The food in the restaurant is mediocre. Unfortunately, there aren't many restaurants in the vicinity. Hence, no choice.

Spa cottage was the cherry on the cake”

Cradle Mountains are definitely worth a visit. If the weather is cold you'll definitely appreciate the spa at the end of the day. The cottage is equipped with an electric heater and gas fireplace, it's comfy and cosy indoors! Cooking facilities are available but be sure to take your own ingredients: the small grocery shop is expensive! We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

Just around the corner from the Cradle Mountain visitor centre, this cosy cottage was a great place to unwind and chill out (the spa is great) after our hike. We booked two nights because we didn’t want to rush our visit/drive too much at night for the wildlife- it was relaxing and we’ll definitely stay here again next time!

Super friendly staff and amazing location”

The lodge is directly opposite the main shuttle bus into Cradle Mountain so a very easy way to see the lake and do the associated walks. Staff were super friendly and the cabins spotlessly clean and very wan. We had snow in early March and felt v toasty. We also ate at the restaurant and had a great meal - just one small hiccup. And like everywhere else in Tassie serves up some great wines.
