new and clean hotel”

clean and spacious room, big beds, courteous staff

this was the second time we stayed in this hotel the first time was during may 2011 and we liked the accommodation that's why we decided to stay here again, this time with our kids. the kids loved the room especially the big beds and the bath tub. our room (loft type) has two flat screen televisions so you can still watch your favorite tv show while your kids are watching their own cartoon show. the location is not beachfront, giving you the chance to burn the calories if you opted to walk to get to the shore. the stay was all in all great. we will definitely stay in this hotel again when we have the chance to go back to boracay :)

I guess it goes down to your personal preferences...”

But I do like this hotel. The price is much cheaper than most established hotels in the island but their amenities are not cheap at all. The design is modern and hip. The staffs are friendly too, especially their receptionist. The room is clean and totally spacious. PIECE OF ADVICE to those who wanted to stay here, after swimming in the pool, immediately leave those towels on the reception before going back to your hotel room. Otherwise, it will be a pain in the b when you checkout and then you have to pay 700 pesos per piece of those darn towels.

A Large Pleasant but Slightly Tired Hotel”

The wave pool, The skim board pool, Centally located

Despite the construction of a new wing this huge hotel is starting to get a little tired. The room furniture is a bit scuffed and the activity pools were operating on half strength when I was there , possibly to reduce running costs. They are also currenly installing several elevators with will be very welcomed by those on the fourth floor. There were frequent but short power outages but maybe this is normal on Boracay. The hotel is located on the busy main back road which is a few hundred metres from the white sand beach but that being said the section of beach is closest to the hotel is perhaps the cleanest part along the white beach stretch. Futher up the beach near the popular station one area is a LOT of green algae growing out of the sand in the shallows due to the "enriched groundwater" seeping through from the various developments. The water seems clear enough but the weed causes a slight odour in this area at low tide. I was glad to pay the 75 peso environment levy on each visitor that is said to go towards the problem. I recomend visitors travelling to and from Kalibo should pay the Hotel's 800 peso transfer fee as this gets you a private hotel van and boat as well as a good standard aircon bus for the 2 hour Kalibo section. Overall an enjoyable stay.

Great pool”

Overall enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean and staff were friendly. Location was ok. In station 2 about 5 min walk from the beach. We stayed half the time here and the other half at a hotel on the beach in station 3 Our biggest issue was internet connection. Little to no wifi connection in rooms Great pool however slide was not working properly. Our kids loved swimming in it nevertheless. Also has a kiddy pool which is great for families travelling with little ones. Buffet breakfast was ok however most dishes contained meat of some sort, so options for vegetarians was limited.

Relaxing”

Wave pool, wave rider, close to the beach

The Hotel is not located at the beachfront, but a five minute walk away. However, there are enough swimming pools in this hotel for the children and adults to keep you occupied, like the wave pool and the wave rider. They also have an oceanarium in the basement, and an underwater tunnel where you can view the world's largest pearl. It is commendable that Crown Regency can come up with unique facilities and exciting additions to what a regular hotel can offer.

Nice Hotel, Good location, terrible food and slow interent”

The hotel is nice with well appointed rooms and lots of facilities. The location is excellent being pretty close to D Mall at station 2. Most staff were friendly and polite. Nice pool . The food is awful though so don't even bother ordering room service as there are luckily lots of nice retaurants nearby. Also the room cleaning staff seem to do the bare minimum. I had to constantly ask for water and coffee to be replenished. The internet in the rooms is also very slow and disconnect regularly which was a problem for me as I needed to work online while there. Overall I would stay again but may look at other choices first for better internet connection and food.

Solid But Not Spectacular”

Fairly close to the beach, Clean and comfortable rooms, Very nice and helpful staff

My wife and I booked this hotel because it looked like a comfortable and reasonably priced place to spend a few days on Boracay. It didn't disappoint, but it didn't exactly dazzle either. The staff was friendly and helpful and the lobby was very pleasant, but the wifi was a bit spotty. Also, be warned that they had some animals (including a lion!) chained up in the lobby so guests can pay for pictures with them. It was pretty shocking for us to see. The room was clean and nice enough, but there was no wifi. It looked like most rooms had a great pool view with a balcony, however, our room had a terrible view of a construction site. If you want to book here, try to make sure you get a pool view. The location is not on the beach, but it is only a 5 or 6 minute walk so we were quite satisfied. The breakfast buffet had a pretty decent spread of both Western and Filipino options. We never ate at the hotel restaurants because they always looked empty and there were so many better options to find on the beach. Overall, Boracay exceeded our expectations and we are looking forward to going back there again. The beach and atmosphere were perfect. We will most likely not stay at this hotel and will probably try to find a cheaper place on the beach. If you are looking for something a little nicer though and you don't mind a short walk to the beach (and you don't have any qualms about keeping big cats chained up in the lobby) then this is a good choice.

Ok hotel but I would've stayed somewhere else”

Friendly staff but no one was answering our calls from the room

Our stay at the Crown Regency was nothing near great. It was ok. We stayed during the holidays so Boracay was really full of tourists. We booked this hotel because our first choices of hotels in Station 1 were all fully booked already. The room we got was in their new wing, very near the construction site so there were construction noises early in the morning until the afternoon. One problem also was the hotel ran out of towels so we were not given towels when we checked in. We had to request and the attendant had to check and make sure there weren't any towels. Why would we lie about the towels? The next day, the housekeeping crew got our towels but never bothered to replace them. My boyfriend had to go down 3x at 3am (when we got home from the parties) to request for towels. Crown Regency was ok but next time I book during the holidays, I'll make sure I pick a nearer Hotel to station 1 and 2 (D mall area).

I could see some insects on the sweets. We had problem on aircondirioning it took us two days to fix it. They donf have tissues in the room. They dont have umbrella to spare. Room was great very roomy. Comfortjable bed. But i wont stay there next time i go back to boracay. Its a 5 minutes walk to the beach. They give you a lift to the beach if the vehicle is available. All in all its good but the food is crap.

Beautiful hotel, still needs major improvements.”

Great rooms, pools and outdoor area.

Checking in and getting a room during our stay was VERY problematic as there was no electricity when we got there and the staff told us they have a faulty generator which baffles me as it is a large hotel. We waited for 2 hours and others who arrived before me had to wait longer (heard someone they waited for 4 hours). After checking in the rooms were beautiful and spacious. The rest of our stay was comfortable enough except when trying to order room service or contacting the front desk, I tried waiting for 30 minutes but no one answered. Even though we experienced a lot of difficulties I would still highly recommend this if only for it's huge wavepool and tasty foods, beautiful surroundings and the staff helped as much as they could given the circumstance.

I really have no complaints about the hotel, great staff and service. Even when there was a power issue with the A/C in our room after phoning the front desk they sent someone up and fixed it within a few hours. It would have been better if the hotel was right on the beach but it's only a 5min walk and at the time this hotel was more affordable compared to the others at the beach on New Years Eve.

The hotel is not as bad as the reviews stated here”

The lobby is actually a bit crowded and and the check-in process is quite long. But the aesthetic and cleanliness of the hotel is actually good and the size of the room is big. From the hotel, you have to walk at least 5 minutes to reach the white sand but you will not be bothered by the distance even if its in the middle of the day. Overall, it was a great experience!

spacious room, nice convenience store

Overall stay was good however, staff should improve on customer service, especially those answering the phone. They should be able to address customer concerns or forward calls to the appropriate person. Saw 2 guys surfing in their wave pool and I was very interested to have surfing lessons. But the resort didn't offer lessons yet, nor allowed surfing in their pool. But recreations office said they were going to allow soon and the trainers were still undergoing training (those i saw surfing in the pool ü). Hope they offer lessons soon! Looks really fun!

Comfort and Leisure”

Big rooms, wave rider, location

I've read negative reviews about the hotel before we came, so i was already expecting the worst but i am personally satisfied with the accomodation. Although the room smells a bit moldy when we came in but our complain was immediately addressed. My girls enjoyed the wave rider. Its open though only 9-10 am and 5-7pm i think, or at at least that's what we were informed. You'll have to reserve the slot if you want to experience it. Overall our stay was good.
