Sonesta is welcoming the minute you walk in. The Lockwood has wonderful staff, give Shelly a shout and grab a drink. You’re a few minutes walk from the mall with all the amenities and food stops you could want! Comfy beds and pillows. Overall great layout and comforts away from home. 10/10 will be coming back to stay.

Easy stay ”
This is our second time staying here. Very convenient location to 16th street free bus line, restraints, shopping etc. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms are nothing special but perfect for what is needed. Wish pool was open so double check that if that is something your interested in. Only negative thing for me is there are no microwaves to warm up anything. We would use this place again.

Only complaint I really have was that the room was a little small for a king size bed. Other than this hotel was great. Located right near downtown so many things are within walking distance. They have a bar located on the 1st floor and a gym that open 24/7. The pool was closed for the season when we stayed which was a bummer because it looks very cool from the pics

Not so much bang for the buck”
Hotel amenities were there…. For a cost. No breakfast (you can order it for $17 a plate from the restaurant), pool was not open, parking is $35 per night (although they don’t hesitate to waive that, just makes your key card a pain to use). Don’t lose your key card. You need it for everything! Including using the elevator (which did go straight to the garage which was nice). The staff on the other hand were AWESOME and let us check out at 130 (which turned into 2) for free. It’s a nice place, just not as convenient as other hotels.

There was a 3-hour delay in check-in because their computer system went down, but the front desk staff did their best to keep everyone satisfied by offering free drink coupons at the lobby restaurant bar. The hotel location is great - just steps from the 16th Street Mall but not on the mall itself so it wasn't too noisy. On my floor, half the rooms were blocked off for renovations. Acoustics is not the best as I can hear the plumbing through the walls. Covid restrictions meant no breakfast offered or pool access. Overall good value for the location.

Looks better in photos online than IRL. Wasn't bad but wasn't good. Wouldnt stay again. Room was clean and bed was good. Many small details overlooked: for example the mattress was on the bed slanted, taps dripped, coffee machine was dirty, elevator dingy and scuffed up. Most importantly, the heat didnt work. It was 60F in the room. Told the staff and they said I would have switched rooms but I didnt notice until the middle of the night (1-2am) Its THEIR resposibility to make sure the facilities work IN ADVANCE of a guests stay. The onus should not be on me to confirm the state of the room.

One block away from the 16th Street Mall. We were there for three nights. Because of COVID they don't clean the rooms during the time of occupancy which I get. My sis asked if they can put a special request to get towels everyday. No, we have to call housekeeping. When we called the next morning, it was too early and to call at 7:30 when they come in. I got stuck in the elevator once when the doors wouldn't open which was scary. Finally opened after hitting both 1st floor buttons. The key cards worked half the time. The room was decent. There was a coffee maker but no coffee. One side of the hallway was taped off with a big sheet of plastic but didnt seem like there was remodeling being done. Parking was $35 a day. The convenient store in the lobby ran out of bottled water during our stay which might be an inconvenience if you get altitude sickness. Might be better to find a nicer hotel with more amenities.

Four nights, not really up to par. ”
Lots of renovations going on as well as very few ice machines working. We were informed about neither of these things at both our time of booking and check in. Our room is nice, but our bathroom has cracking ceiling, different colored or ruined paint on the door and walls, and weird little black spots all above the ceiling of the shower. I will say, the location of the hotel is impeccable and when we checked in, a super nice young lady who had just moved from LA was incredibly nice to my girlfriend and I on a very challenging morning. She rocked. But the hotel facilities themselves are dissapointing, and not helped by their own staff not knowing what ice machines work and dont work or what they carry at the "store" on the 1st floor.

The star rating on this is absurd. The parking garage was like apocalypse now, 1985 called and they'd like their dirty rugs back, the 6th floor pool hasn't functioned as a pool since the Cosby show was still popular. The $35.00 a night to park your car in what looks like Falujah in 03 is insane too. F.A.I.L. P.S. the room smelled like smoke

Lovely hotel in Downtown Denver very close to the 16th st Mall. The staff are all very friendly & the hotel including the room was very clean, we were on the 19th floor & had a lovely view of the mountains which happened to be covered in snow during our stay. Would highly recommend & would stay again if back in Denver.

Exceptional”
The location was excellent, especially since we visited the US Mint and Capitol building. It was also only 2 blocks from the 16th Street Mall, which provided shopping, restaurants, sights, and continuous buses for transportation the full length of the mall. The room was very clean and spacious, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
