This is usually my go to Hotel in Croydon as it's a good location and good value for money however, my last two stays have been terrible! I am not sure what they have done, if they have changed their bedding etc but the mattress/sheets get very hot during the night and it becomes impossible to sleep! On the first terrible stay, I woke up with a couple of bites so out of curiosity, I stripped the bed to find the mattress looked like it had been attacked by a dog and not only that but it was covered in dirt and hairs and I mean COVERED!!! I was stunned. When the bed was made up, it would have been impossible for the maid not to have seen this yet they just ignored it and put a fresh sheet on the bed. It was so gross I felt disgusted that I had slept on the bed. Of course, I reported it to the hotel, had them come up to the room and they were in agreement it was unacceptable so let's hope that never happens again Best Western!!!

The facilities were basic but equated with the price charged, the room was large. If you did’t put the “make up my room” on the outside of your door the room didn’t get made up. The was no phone in the room, considering the size of the floors one wonders what would happen if a fire occurred. The internet was a joke if you didn’t pay, free internet was for 30 minutes but most times you didn’t get that. First accommodation in nine weeks of travel where the internet wasn’t complimentary 24 hours a day. Bath mats were not provided even though to bathroom was a moulded plastic arrangement that was quite slippery, particularly for older people.

We needed a place to stay for 10 nights that was centrally located between our family members. Croydon seemed like the perfect spot, and the Hallmark was a great choice. We were upgraded due to our long stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast in the hotel one morning, but it was quite tasty. And we got such a great rate on Agoda it was a no-brainer.

Everything was great! The place was really clean, staff were really friendly and helpful. We were given a map of Croydon when we reached followed by a map of London. Breakfast was really nice. Generally Croydon is a great place. There are a lot of places for shopping and food. However, places like Soho, camden and oxford street are far if you take the cheapest route in our case bus then the underground metro. However, the fastest route is through the rail, but it costs about 5 pounds during peak hour and 3.20 pounds during off peak timing and takes about 30 minutes to get to Victoria station.

It is situated in zone 6, about 1 hr to city london by train. The price is reasonable for a family of 7. One bedroom with queen size bed and another room with 2 single bed. A sofa bed also available in the living room. It has washing machine, cooker, microwave, freezer and utensils. The owner allow us to check in early since our flight arrived at 6 am. We only found out late about shopping malls near by in the croydon town - whitgift mall, primark and crydon village outlet. The couldon town also has waitrose, aldi and tesco express which open as early as 730am and close 9pm. There are also 24hr car /van rental at the town

Having been staying at the Croydon Hilton for many years now it is a place I will always go back to, at least once a year every April as I attend an annual party within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is within easy reach to East Croydon station, therefore enabling quick access to central London. Great bus links from Waddon Way, Purley Way and the Croydon Colonnades just around the corner make travel around the local area very easy. One of the best features of the hotel is the free parking!

Cosy, small room which is very typical of London. Perfect if you want to keep to yourself and are happy to cook your own breakfast. Not far from the tram station, or a short walk from East Croydon Station. Comfortable bed and small clean bathroom. Staff very friendly. Heater was exceptional in cold weather. Ozzie's fish & Chips or Pappa John's pizza if you don't want to cook. Clean shared cooking facilities if you do. Breakfast is self serve and the bacon & eggs are delicious as well as the range of cereals. We loved it!

Clean, self-contained apartment that has all the pros of a pricey hotel stay with the affordability and services of a rental apartment. Own bathroom & cooking facilities were a major plus, inclusive of daily bins & toiletries changes, plus parking and accessibility to a number of transport links. Book for nearly two weeks with constant rooms and option to stay in the same room number, key safe option and loads of room for parking so my costs stayed low. Would most definitely recommend Westciti and would stay again!

This accommodation exceeded my expectations. It is spotlessly clean and the room is a good size with plenty of natural light and breeze from the window. It was a little warm in summer but there was a fan to keep us cool. The shower and bathroom is good-sized and all taps and toilet work well. The kitchenette is small but you can still cook meals in the room, and the cooking utensils were new and worked well. The location is a 15 minute walk to East Croydon train station and then it's only 15 minutes on the train to London Victoria. The area is a bit rough around the edges at night. But during the day there is lots going on - shops, restaurants, cafes, street markets, food festivals. There is a large park about a 20 minute walk away. The only downside is there's lots of noise from the street at night, especially at weekends, but we got used to this.

Booked this hotel for me and my parents, and we were really pleased with our stay here. Hotel is actually a terrace house with rooms that are rented out, hence, it was much bigger than the normal hotel rooms. Furthermore, facilities were well maintained, and room was clean and proper. Self-prepared breakfast in a hotel was a new experience, but nonetheless useful if you want to sleep in and wake up late. Selection was not alot, but definitely adequate for a good breakfast. Most importantly, we were served by a friendly and helpful gentleman, Jilson (sorry if it's the wrong spelling), and even though he hadn't been working there for long, was able to give us many information such as location of public transport, and where to get good food in the area. One thing to note if you're driving, parking at the hotel site is on first come first serve basis, or you will have to make do with street parking. Will definitely consider this hotel in the future.

The Hotel was superb and the staff was very friendly. Our room was ready on arrival and it was very clean. On a downside, we had requested for twin beds but were given a double bed. I wasn't particularly happy with the Wifi. While wifi was good on the mobile phone, if you are trying to connect to laptop, it was very inconvenient as the connection resets every other minute.

Was greeted by a friendly guy who showed me the communial kitchen and then my room. My room was very nice, spacious and had everything I needed for a great nights sleep. The place looks like it has recently been refurbished and it has been done very well. The only thing I would say is the shower was very small - apparently they differ in the rooms so if you are on the "larger" side I would mention this when booking :)

This is the 3rd time we have stayed in this hotel and we will be coming back. The room we had was spacious and clean. The view of the garden and golf course was magnificent in the early autumn sunshine. The location is great for either going in to central London from East Croydon station or exploring the Kent countryside. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast choices were very good. There was a wedding on but that in no way upset our stay. Our room was quiet and all ran efficiently. There was ample parking and things ran very smoothly at breakfast. There are some very negative reviews on a web site but our experience was very positive and I wonder if some of them are very old reviews! We used the pool and the gym and went for a walk in the extensive grounds. The terrace was a great place to sit with a drink and enjoy the wonderful views.

The hotel is attached to a friendly pub with lots of locals in the bar. There was no staff at reception when we arrived, so just through to the pub and a member of staff checked us in quickly and efficiently. The room was very clean and good standard of decor. Beds very comfortable, good shower pressure and plenty of hot water. The room has a heater and also has air conditioning which is a plus for me and very rare in uk hotels in this price range. The restaurant is nicely decorated, and sunny and bright in the morning. There is plenty of choice on the breakfast menu as well as the usual full English. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
