Great place to stay”
Was what we were looking for. Out of town, quiet, and relaxed. Stayed an extra night!

Exceptional”
We are American ex-pats living in Taipei with two young boys. Beautiful and well-maintained facility in the mountains near Sun Moon Lake and "next door" to the Aboriginal Cultural Village (a culturally-themed amusement park with surprisingly good rides). Their primary customer base is Taiwanese and Chinese tourists, but they wasted no time finding an English-speaking employee to help us. (It's generally tough in Central Taiwan to hire bi-linguals.) The room was spacious and the climate control worked. Great water pressure and temperature in the bathroom. Generous with the bottled water. The breakfast was a strong okay, but that's because I'm quite used to Western food. If you like Taiwanese fare, you'll be quite happy - both meat-based and vegetarian options. We walked away satiated. This is our third time staying at this hotel. Not likely our last, unless we move away.

Gorgeous location; solely marketed to Taiwanese/Chinese clientele”
We will probably stay here again, however, if we can find an equally nice place, we're likely to opt for that. The only complaint is one that isn't fair to hold against the property - they don't speak English. With all the apps available today plus their broken English and our limited Chinese, we did just fine. They put us in a room that was not kid-friendly, (steep, spiral metal staircase inside), but otherwise nice. Mildly warm water for the tub and shower.

Mistaken for Crystal Resort at Sun Moon Lake”
Location: Booked this because I mistook It for Crystal Resort along Sun Moon Lake. This hotel was situated deeper in the town with only one lane to drive in/out and no view of Sun Moon Lake. Facilities: Also, the hotel was deserted in the middle of October - there was only 1 other guest in the resort the night we stayed (based on number of cars parked). There were spa facilities, a KTV, a bar and a souvenir shop but were all closed/did not look that well maintained. The eatery served a decent home cooked dinner menu, although the breakfast selection was only Taiwanese porridge - do not expect too much for food here. Staff: The staff were polite and tried their best to liven up the mood although we were dining in the restaurant alone. Room: The room was a nice size - like a small cottage (stayed on the highest floor), bed was quite comfortable, the shower was okay.

The environment is super awesome ”
I didn’t expect such a wonderful outdoor environment. Though there was slightly inaccuracy with photo on the Agoda and the actual room.

Nice hotel convenient for Aboriginal Theme Park”
We had a lovely stay at this hotel- room was very big, with living area and big balcony facing the pool and grounds. Only drawback was that there was only one restaurant that serves banquet style food only. They did accommodate us when we asked for some simple dishes to take back to our room. Also, we went during low season and not all hot spring pools were open.

Nice environment with Spa”
Clean large room and hot spa. The straff was friendly and helpfull but breakfast was only Asien style which did not taste very nice. The location is nice but there is another Hotel with the same name at Sun Moon Lake, hence possible to mix it up.

Beautiful facility in secluded location”
Very luxurious country club type of facility with convenience store, gift shop, restaurant, bar on site. Rooms are large with balconies overlooking large and well maintained pool and jacuzzi. Very comfortable and pleasant.

Nice resort”
OK. Spacious room with balcony. Suggested hiking trail into the nearby mountain not feasible. Terrain was overgrown with weeds. Music from pool to loud. Otherwise good place to relax.

outdated rooms, terrible breakfast (my husband got sick from it), overpriced hotel. ”
Rooms were outdated. It was in decmeber and rooms were cold (they left the windows open before we came in lye at night!). Breakfast was meant for Chinese people and didn’t have a lot of items I could recognize. My husband got sick from eating there. Out of 7 different hotels I stayed At during my trip to Taiwan, this was the second most expensive and by far the worst. We couldn’t use swimming pool facilities as they were not heated. Location not ideal and it’s not at sun moon lake itself, while other hotels with a similar price are at sun moon lake. All my other hotel experiences in’s taiwan were fantastic so my advise is: don’t stay here!!! Pictures look nice; surroundings are very pretty but service, rooms and breakfast are terrible.

More like a rustic cottage than resort ”
The staff were all very kind and helpful except one. We were expecting a resort but it was more like a rustic cottage. The grounds were lovely but the pool was old looking. The hot tub was not working. I don’t think the bar was ever open. You definitely need a car to stay at this place because the shuttle is only available to the Aboriginal culture centre. Otherwise you have to pay for them to pick you up. The breakfast was excellent but the dining room was very dirty. I didn’t mind that it was run down and dirty but felt that the listing was very misleading and it was WAY too expensive for what it was.

The only shortcoming is the location. It's not very close to Sun-Moon lake

Review”
Hotel is too remotely located. Dinner had to be in house, which is expensive and limited choice. Restaurant did not serve all dishes promptly. Breakfast option also limited spread.

Not convenient Hotel that far from town centre”
Very disappointed due to the following reasons: 1. The hotel is lack of maintenance; 2. Some hidden areas were not really clean and dusty; 3. Not suitable for visitors without transportation; 4. Feels lonely with not many visitors.

Photos versus Reality ”
Stayed for a night with a teenager who was looking forward to relax and swim in that gorgeous pool. Upon arriving I already had a sinking feeling as I can immediately see how no one bothered to clean the door entrance which guest see first upon arriving. The hotel was unkempt like the owner didn't care or the staffs were underpaid or over work as you can see dust every where all the way up to our room. The staff were accommodating enough but the biggest let down was the outdoor and indoor pool were so dirty you couldn't put yourself to swim in it. We ordered dinner at their restaurant and it was ok , we had fried rice and fried noodles. the breakfast buffet had a wide variety including moldy bread and fruit flies on fruits. The only good thing was the free shuttle to the bus station given that the location of the hotel was smack dab in the middle of nowhere. Over all will not recommend .
