We lost US$300 inside our luggage in our room. We suspected that it happened when we went out to watch whale in the morning, and the hotel staff told us to leave the room key at front desk so that if the whale trip was overrun, they could move out our luggage and turnaround the room for the next guest. The residential manager watched the CCTV recording. Despite showing "doubt" to one employee and offered us compensation at the first instance, after speaking to her general manager, she changed her mind and asked us to report to police, which required a lot of time for us to travel back to Mirissa and caused delay for our trip. The experience has been extremely disappointing and we will never select any hotel with this hotel chain.

Beautiful hotel and beach - still some things are missing”
Hotel is beautiful and stylish, just as in the photos. It's located 10 min by tuk-tuk from Mirissa beach, which is nice, but quite crowded. On the other hand, the beach outside the hotel is miles long and empty, so it's pure tranquillity! The hotel's facilities are very good, also considering the islands standards, which are more basic. There are 2 buts: - food is not nice and quite pricey for what it is - service is a bit slack... there's a manager all time there and a personal butler, but they didn't know we were coming, forgot to book as a tuk tuk and to do some other basic things for us, which we couldn't understand as they seemed pretty chilled and talking to each other all the time... It's a pity because this brought our perception of the hotel down... lots of room for improvement.

Very relaxing”
Beautiful place! Amazing staff, it felt like at home with family. We were very sad to leave this place and all the nice people there! The restaurant is a bit expensive, but it is quality food! Very good chef! We will definitely go back! Thank you to all the people there! We love you ;)

Great place to relax”
Lovely compact boutique hotel. Wonderful service and great food. Palm suite is the only one without sea view. Not great beach for swimming when the weather is rough. Large waves and rocks. Well out of Mirissa tuk tuk ride away. Not the best value 're room rates. Would I go again? Definitely

Beautiful setting but under trained staff”
Location, large balcony beach room, er?!?
The location is great and on arrival it looks stunning and you feel welcomed as they explain the personal butler and show you the room. But you then dig a little deeper and the cracks show. The personal butler is actually everyone's butler for the rooms. The sell for treatments and excursions starts at breakfast and all are incredibly expensive (we stayed at the jetwing for two nights plus the safari for what they quote for a one day excursion for two and all is USD!?!). The main thing that lets it down is the service and food. The staff in the restaurant/bar seem to be under trained for the lvl or standard that they are saying they are at (5 star). Breakfast is erratic and generally poor quality with grim jams and coffee coming if you are lucky at the end of the meal.. Dinner is over priced with much better options a few metres down the beach. Overall this was the most expensive hotel we stayed in and promises much but the service and food quality we got at the cheapest (which was 5 times cheaper) outshone this. Try the lantern or the sharvi villas for better and cheaper options

Beautiful Boutique hotel”

What a lovely gem near Mirissa beach. It is not near the town but a short tuk tuk ride away. You are greeted with super friendly service, lovely rooms and literally the best food we had in 2 weeks in Sri Lanka. The chef cannot be recommended highly enough. The only negative is the price not only of the property but of everything else (laundry service, food, water, etc.). They add tax and service and in Sri Lanka it is 25%. If you can afford this 6 room hotel is worth it. But it will hurt your wallet.

Great feel & location but no attention to detail”
Location with pool on private part of beach is perfect for that relaxed remoteness. only a few rooms in makes it feel like a big house where eveeyone's at home. Staff is very positive and friendly.
The place is really nice with great "getaway" location. Homey feeling due to the small size. Rooms well equipped with guest mobile and bluetooth speaker etc. Staff is great, positive and very friendly. To call yourself a 5 star hotel however you need attention to detail which is where these guys need to step it up. It's not well managed in that sense at all. We were a couple checking in and there's only 1 bathrobe. Additionally we had to ask for toothbrushes and other things that even road motels supply. I mean, they charge quite some for a stay in this place so then you can afford standard supply which everyone would for sure take for granted in a luxury resort. They even charge for still water as part of the mini bar and half of the drinks there had passed their expiry date... Finally about the room they simply refused to refill our shower gel even if it was like 2 drops left in the bottle. Of course when we asked them to but not by default several days in a row! In general they were never one step agead lile a well-managed place is. Like cleaning up sunbeds when guests leave during the day (so other guests don't have to do that to use them) or fix lighting that goes black during evenings. Just a mañana attitude that doesn't belong in a place of this standard. A guest goes here to get a luxury feeling and not to remind the staff of annoying details that takes away that careless stay we all pay for. When it comes to the food it was well tasting but the compositions were really weird. Like BBQ was only meat or only seafood and nothing to go with it. So all in all a fantastic place with all the potential if they just step it up a notch. Then they can call themselves a 5 star hotel but as of today they're not and that also makes the price a bit hefty...

I have to say, the experience i stay in CASA Collection colombo mirissa was really good, comfortable room, nice view, the employee in the hotel are nice. the reason i gave a bad reviews is not because this hotel is not good, but the bad customer service. because after i leaving, I have to say i have never encountered so bad customer service in my life when i traveled to so many countries and cities. I realized that i forgot my sunglasses in the hotel when i already in the airport, i tried to call the hotel, there was a guy who pick up the phone, it was around 10 o'clock, he said, it was too late to check for me, asked me to call the next morning, i said i have to take the airplane it will take 6 hours, and i have to transfer, and i could not use sri lanka sim card to call, it is difficult to call again at that time, and maybe tomorrow there will be other customer to live in the room, it is too late to check maybe. but he refused me, he said he could not check for me, and handed up the phone, i called again said, can i talk to the manager Broh? he said she is not there, i said can i have your name please? he handed up my phone again. when i tried to call again, he handed up..... then i tried to call when i arrived honkong, he handed up my phone, I can not image i just try to ask someone to check if my sunglass is there, no one can help me. i can not image this with 5 stars hotel has so bad service. i can not image there is a so rude guy to pick up the phone who can totally not solve any problem. i hope the hotel can reply me: 1. how can this good ranking hotel with so bad customer service. 2. i hope the manager can contact me but not this rude employee who can not speak good english. 3. i want to know the name of this employee why he is so rude to the customer.
