friendly staff, comfort room”

location is inside DoiTung Palace area. If you plan to visit several places on Doitung,it is very convenience. Room is comfy. I love their decoration very cozy. Only drawback is no elevator for 3storey building. So ask for 2nd floor room where connected bridge available.

The Best Hotel in Chaing Rai if you want to feel the nature”

The Hotel is unbelievebly great. the room was nice and clean. nice view that can see the whole town. especially when you came around winte, u can feel the cold and see the sea of fog from ur room. near the most visited travel site (the royal garden and the royal palace). only one problem is it hard to find something to eat during the night cause every store including the hotel restaurant are close at 7.00 pm. so store some food if you want to stay here.

Great view on Doitung”

The location is on top of Doitung where you can see city of Chiangrai province. Room is newly decorate with simply modern style but there is no mirror on dressing table on in room. Breakfast is ok, limited choices and not as good as Angkang. Staffs are hospitality.

What a view!”

This was a different choice for me. I have always wanted to ride my motorbike along the Burmese border and this place was along the way from Mae Sai. I did not get a chance to see the sights in the area: Villa, Gardens, etc, but they look great from a short distance. Check-in and check-out were easy. Room was comfortable. Tv was tiny. No CNN/BBC as listed. It appears the Chinese have taken those channels. Sign o' the times.

A pleasant hotel in a lovely location ”

We went as a family of four adults to stay for the New Year period and was pleasantly surprised to learn that a wonderful New Years celebration of food, local dance, and entertainment was included. The staff were very good and made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The restaurant served good Thai food and is very reasonable. The breakfast buffet is good too with locally produced coffee. The rooms are comfortable, clean with a good sized shower. I would recommend anyone to stay there if they want to explore the mountain of Doi Tung.

Wonderful location with Thai welcome service mind”

Doi Tung Lodge is located in Royal Doi Tung project area which is very closed to Doi Tung Palace and Mae Fah Luang garden (5- min drive) Staying here, my family not only like mountain view room but also touch warm welcome from all hotel's staffs. Recommended .....

Velmi dobré”

The staffs at check-in office are very polite and helpful. The room is great, clean and comfortable. The disappointment is about the staffs working in the dining area during breakfast. No service nor checking on food. Customers have to ask for refilled of the food.

Quiet resort in the heart of Doi Tung Palace”

The resort located just right next to Doi Tung palace. Very quiet and you can wnjoy the sceanary of DoinTung from the garden. There is only 1 restaurant to dine up there and they close around 20.00 otherwise you have to drive to the other place. The hotel just got renovated with vintage swiss cottage sytle. Worth a visit if you love the quiet place close to the nature.

Good location but not kid friendly hotel ”

Good location. Front, Housekeeping and driver staffs were so friendly and smiles. Food and Beverage staffs for 2 nights stay no smile at all. We went there on low season which no breakfast buffet-a la carte only. We were there with kid 1.4 yrs which kid no charge for room but the breakfast staff told me I can order only 2 set for breakfast because you paid only for 2 pax. So I said I can go to restaurants out of the resort for my breakfast ( hotel close the restaurant in low season - only open for breakfast which all room are included ) thank you finally the staff allow us to order more but they were not look really happy. No any smile even I said thank you to them, they are say nothing back same for 2 days. The hotel itself are really good location and I prefer to be there due to the hotel is a part of Doitung however if you have good hospital staffs will be perfect. Special thanks to driver, helpful and service mind.

Nice Room with Great View”

Stayed in a room with the mountain view which gave us a spectacular morning scenery. The rooms seems newly done up and are spacious. Breakfast spread was good and sitting in an open area again with spectacular mountain top view.

they rate themselves as a 4-star hotel is overrated. this hotel should only 3-star hotel. Agoda web management should be check the hotel facilities when they rating the hotel.The quality and food taste in this hotel have to improved.i have expected that my dinner with my family will be impression, but negative feeling.

Quiet and Surround with nature”

Very cold in Winter . Need a heater in room and the hot shower need to be stronger. Overall it is right next to attraction of Doi Tung as it is right on top of mountain. . Need a good car to go up the mountain.

Nice hotel with great location”

doi tung lodge is a small, clean hotel with nice atmosphere. it's located closest to doi tung royal villa and mae fah luang garden, the main attractions of doi tung. the hotel provides a van to transport you up to the attractions (or you can walk, if you want a good uphill exercise). the mountain view rooms have a pretty nice view, though you cannot say spectacular. and if you get the ground-floor rooms, you can walk out to the backyard from your backdoor and enjoy the view and the atmosphere. staff are nice.

Quiet location with great views”

I had a comfortable Deluxe room with a mountain view. the room was spacious with a balcony and all the advertised facilities all in working order. The hotel is clean, quiet and an ideal base for sightseeing but also for just relaxing. There is a residents lounge with a small library of books mainly about the area- mostly in Thai but some in English and German. The hotel has a free shuttle bus to run you the short distance to the gardens and royal villa. When I stayed the restaurant served only evening meals with breakfast and other food snacks available just up the road near the gardens. The food in the restaurant at dinner was excellent with good northern style pork curry and excellent fish and vegetables. Breakfast was the only real disappointment. Cold semi edible American breakfast or mediocre fried rice or rice porridge. They should do better on this given the price- but that would be my only criticism of what was otherwise an excellent 2 night stay.

Simply Hotel but everything is very clean”

The room is old but everthing in the room is enough and clean. Breakfast is up to the number of guest some day they will serve a set menu you can choose between boil rice and American breakfast, some day they serve the buffet line. The lodge and the Mae Fah garden is not in the same area but there is a van that drive up an down hill send the traveller between the lodge and the garden until 5 PM.

Beautiful Hotel on Top of the Mountain”

We absolutely loved this beautiful hotel on top of the mountain. The room was decorated beautifully with all that you need for a stay. We loved the food at the restaurant, everything they had was so good. We had dinner there and from there restaurant you can see a breathtaking view of Maesai and its nearby area. We'll definitely visit this place again.

Perfect place on Doi Tung”

the hotel is simple but nice. spacious room even with the extra bed with the nice mountain view(deluxe room.they have a large living room in the hotel building where you can watch tv, read a book or whatever.we stayed there the night before visiting the royal villa and mae fah luang garden and it is very convenient. we were the first one to enter the royal villa at 7 am. the hotel provide the minivan service from the hotel to the entrance royal villa. it is quite far to walk to the hotel restaurant but the hotel have the minivan service and the driver was very polite. we felt like we were royal family members. the food also excellent and big portion.i will definitely go back.

Best location n clean room.”

the best location(very close to doi tung garden) with the very clean room but too little facility in the room n hotel. the dining restaurant is fair but u will get the good scenery from there, especially the sunrise in the morning, but u have to wake up very early, about 6.00 a.m. but i promise u that it worth to do that.
