Výhodný hotel pro cestu přes kanál”
Potřeboval jsme přespat po trajektu z Fancie a tento hotel byl při cestě, navíc přímo ve starém přístavu u vody. Měli jsme tak možnost se projít po nábřeží a navštívit pěkné hospůdky kolem.

We stay at the Grand Burstin every time we visit Folkestone and we’re always happy with the price and the standard. It’s not a posh hotel, so don’t expect anything fancy, but do expect a decent level of comfort, a good price and of course a fantastic location (you could only get closer to the sea by moving the hotel across the road!).

No hot water”
Pros- excellent buffet food,staff and location. Cons- room 316 had no hot water for our 2 night hotel stay. Forced to shower in our friends room along the corridor, hot water is via a immersion water tank. Offered a room upgrade if we return our 3rd stay here. Lovely harbour view but rooms are very dated and need a refurbishment.

First impression dull dirty looking from outside. Needs an awful lot of refurbishment, more choices of meals would be nice including table clothes ,had a sea view room but unable to see outside due to water between the double glazing needs Windows replacing. !! Bar meals were not to a good standard mostly frozen produce.

It's OK, but need improvement ”
1st allocated room was OK, but neighbouring room couple was very loud in their very personal business 🤭🤭 couldn't answer to my child what kind of noise they're making and what they're doing.🤭🤭 So had to move to other floor immediately. Unfortunately, none of the 2 other rooms hot water was working! 😢

Good if your on a tight budget, but if you can afford it then don't go... I think it's the hotel where Jeremy Kyle keeps all of his show participants and their families....

You get what you pay for. Never has that statement been so apt as it is for this place! Car park was horrendous and a complete free for all with people parking like clowns. If you want a bed for the night and a roof over your head and not much more then this place serves its purpose. Booked a double online, arrived to find out they didn't have any. Offered a twin and was 'upgraded' to a sea view room. Not that much of a drama really. Room itself was OK, if a little unloved / tired but at least pretty clean. The bathroom however needed tearing out and starting again. Very poorly finished / repaired. When stood in the bath for a shower the bath actually felt a bit spongy, like there was a chance you could actually fall through the bottom of it! Would be interesting to know who they paid or employed to produce their info stickers and signs... Corridors smelt of damp. Don't look out at the fire escapes nor admire the architecture during daylight hours! Needs money spent or tearing down!

Attended the room at 4pm and it had not even been cleaned? The housekeeper said that my room number may not be on the list to be cleaned.. Left the room and returned at 6 but still not that clean. For the money i had spent for the night I expected a bit more time and they didn’t even accept my voucher i had to get £25 off the room??

When I booked I asked for a smoking room. When I checked in I was given a non smoking room. NOT really what I asked for or paid for.
