A mid-week stay. Lovely helpful staff, Eleni was great sorting out a minor parking issue. The room was clean and quiet, bathroom was spotless. We usually stay at Premieres or Travelodge, and this was a really nice surprise to find a budget hotel with a bit of a personal touch!

Good hotel”
The staff is really helpful and friendly. The hotel location is reasonably close to the town centre (around 30 minutes bus rides to Piccadilly Gardens) . There is also “Curry Mile” about 15minutes walk away. Nevertheless, the facilities may need a little update.

The room had a damp smell which we realised was coming from the bathroom drains. Hopefully this should be sorted. There is not a lift in this hotel and everything, including reception, is spread over the first and second floors.

Very noisy floorboards! Cant sleep”
Could not sleep all night because of the very noisy floor boards above and people walking the vast majority of the night. The mattress was also really dreadful which gave me a stiff back in the morning. Very very disappointed with this place!

The whole please smelled like grease. The decor was old and shabby and the bed was 2 twin beds pushed together and one of the mattresses had broken springs. When anyone moved about on the floor above I was worried they would come through the ceiling. When my wife mentioned the smell to the receptionist the next day she was rude and said they’ve never had any other complaints. Would never stay in another hallmark hotel again.

Good Hotel in Manchester South”
This hotel is located in south of Manchester and close to the student residence area. Many cafes, restaurants and minimarkets around the hotel. Should you want to go to the city center, all you have to do is take the bus in front of the hotel.

Rooms are comfortable with en suite bathroom. Pub is cozy and breakfast buffet excellent. The only draw back was having to lug our baggage up and down stairs

Doesn’t look like the pictures ”
I arrived in my hotel room even though I had requested a non smoke room to find it it absolutely stunk of smoke - literally unbearable to be in that room, the reception lady was apologetic and moved me to another room. Both rooms identical luckily this one didn’t smell of smoke, however quite outdated had that university dorm room vibe. There was no soap in the bathroom, I had to sit in my room with many layers on as it was freezing and heating only comes on at certain times (I didn’t feel it come on once). Staff were friendly and acknowledged the room was cold and brought me a small heater. At night we heard mice :/. The staff are nice but the facilities are poor

Dusty and rude staff”
We were put next to different tour groups, whereas, other solo people were placed on a different floor so it was really loud every day and night. The room was dusty, the carpet was damp so my socks kept getting wet. The bathroom was far too small and the toilet seat was angled just so the door could open. Shower pressure was so bad I might as well have spat on myself. I came here for an exam so a big sell point was the wifi but this stopped working day 2 and the receptionist was rude about it. I also doubt the room or rest of hotel met fire regulations. Also, when booking there was no mention of it not accessible for disabled; luckily I do not have this issue, however, other people might and need to be aware that this isn't suitable for wheelchair users at all.

Clean and comfortable”
A clean and comfortable room for one night. The small double we were in would have been cosy for a longer stay but for our purposes of an overnight stay it was perfect. There were lots of steps which may be a disadvantage for those with mobility issues. It was very quiet and we both slept well in the bed. One issue was that there were only towels and toiletries left out for one person when there were two of us staying. Breakfast was good quality and plentiful, they were also able to provide gluten free toast upon request. I would happily stay here again.

On arrival the hotel looked beautiful. The lady at the desk was super friendly and couldn't be more helpful, she assisted with a slight issue with my request from when I booked brilliantly. The room we chose was beautiful, very clean, and had tea and coffee facilities. The area was quiet, but a short walk away was a couple of nice local pubs. The breakfast in the morning was beautiful and the staff were again very helpful at getting a table and tea and coffee for us. The dining room and lounge areas were clean and tidy, and well decorated. I couldn't fault this place atall. 100% consider going back if I went to Manchester again. And i fully recommend the hotel, the staff, and the food. Really enjoyed my stay.

Location-wise, near to everything. Staff were friendly and polite. It just that it was old building so the floor we step on was making sounds everytime we walk. Overall, recommended.

Lovely Hotel, Amazing Staff”
Nice hotel, very clean and spacious rooms. Excelent location, walking distance from restaurants and things to see. Breakfast was delicious, and great value for money. I'd definitely stay again most definitely recommend to others.

There is not lift in this hotel but only stairs, u need to take your luggage up and down, this hotel only fit for those short trip travellers without big luggage, but the location is good even it was not located in centeal but there were bus station, restaurant and supermarket (Sainsbury) nearby.
