Holiday Inn Express give good value, with modern facilities at a good price - this was no exception. On edge of Oxford, but with a bus stop mb 500m away around the stadium. Everything was good, they do what they say on the tin. Quiet room, good wifi, staff great, v clean. If I want to quibble I would suggest an extra 1 or 2 hot items at the breakfast buffet, 4 is no that many (bacon, sausage, beans, scrambled egg) but that's just a suggestion, not a complaint. Overall a good choice, and great VFM.

Good hotel, clean, comfortable, isolated location, only three restaurants within walking distance. Car required to visit elsewhere, plenty of free parking. Would stay again when visiting area.

Cramped Room”
Pros: 1. Super friendly evening receptionist. 2. Clean room. Cons: 1. Booked room for 3 people. Got a room suitable for 2. Nowhere to walk around the room once we opened our luggage. 2. Toilet has an unpleasant smell. 3. Only got two coffee mugs, two plastic cups despite making the booking for three people.

Very good location for visiting Oxford United's ground, about 15 minutes to Oxford centre by taxi which can be pricey. We got the bus a few times which were regular and much cheaper than taxis. Basic breakfast but perfectly reasonable.

The only draw back with my arrangements was the Agoda website - no swimming pool yet a picture of the facility on your website - really? No prior notification of the ongoing refurbishment at the hotel and the restricted breakfast facilities, compromised cleanliness in the work areas and the number of workmen engaged on site. Cannot fault the hotel staff - equally disappointed with your contribution Agoda

Ok place to stay if you don’t have other options- comparatively affordable (for Oxford) but not great facilities -it is next door to the stadium and there are a few things to do in the complex including bars, restaurants &c. we spent the first 2 days without WiFi, then when it was finally ‘fixed’ it was sooooo slooooow!!! Staff were decent- for the most part friendly and tried to be helpful. The room was probably cleaned but the decor seems old and a bit worn, so the bathroom still looks a bit stained.

The hotel is located a little away from city area however they have plenty of car parking spaces. The in-room facilities are within expectation of an express range of hotel. The service that surprised us is the offer of free breakfast with unlimited flow of foods & beverages even though the room we booked was without breakfast. Ordinary English breakfast.

The hotel was clean and had parking with a good breakfast. Cons The hotel was extremely hot, we asked for a fan as there was no air conditioning and the reception said 'we don't think we have one and we'll pop it up if we do' and then nothing............. really terrible in the hot weather I mentioned to the reception that I will pop into oxford in the morning and would it be fine to leave the car in the car park (loads of space) and he said as soon as you check out your parking starts to expire. Making the goodwill seem non-existent. The location is a good distance from oxford center, about 15 mins in a car. From the service and the facilities, we thought this hotel was overpriced.

The hotels in Oxford are expansive, so this one is something affordable, though it is far away from city center. But nice place to stay, esp if you have your own transport

Cons 1. There isn't a swimming pool as shown in the photos. This is misleading. 2. The toilet bin was not cleared and it was disgusting having to see stuff left by previous guests. 3. Breakfast was plain. Pros 1. The staff were pretty professional in dealing with issues. 2. Location is ok if you are driving but not if you don't own a car.
