Bad Service!!! Avoid staying in this hotel if you want a pleasant stay with smooth check in and out”
I hardy give review but I just really share my experience. When I checked in, I waited at least 30 mins because of a Customer who is checking out and is complaining about their bad service at the reception. And I prayed that I have a smooth checkin. When I checked out I received the same bad service waiting again for another 30mins. I was in the queue but guest Le just stroll in and cut my queue and the reception actually attended to them ignoring people in the queue! I had to tell them the reception off but they were so adamant about it and argued that I have to queue. I scolded them and told them didn’t they see me queue or they only saw those that cut queues what kind of 5-star International Hotel it is. Absolutely ridiculous! Receptionist are all poorly trained with bad attitude and service. The concierge is much polite and courteous! By the way I am staying in a Suite that cost 3 times their standard room price and do not deserve such kind of bad service. Others in the queue were also complaining! Really Long check out time and totally no service. The hotel should seriously spend more Effort to train their reception staff.

I have stayed at the Honder Hotel several times. My last visit was for 17 days. I find it annoying that they do not offer money exchange anywhere in the hotel. You must walk to a nearby bank if you need to convert dollars to RMB. The bank's service is very slow and methodical and takes way too much time. I think any five-star hotel should offer a money exchange service.

It was very hard to communicate with the hotel staff. They speak only Chinese! The bar in the room was empty. I asked them to fill up the bar and they put one can of coke, one sprite and one beer. I just laugh! In the restaurant it took them 30 minutes to get me a water. No access to taxi around the hotel. Finally, I just had to move to another hotel.

This hotel has all the amenities as any great hotel. They should vacuum often but other than that it's a new hotel and they maintain it in a 5 star manner.

Very good price for such a nice and new hotel. English of reception is not perfect but definitely worth it. Has a 24/7 McDonald's and 7 eleven next door in case you need them.

Nice enough, but not 5 star”
There was no concierge to help with our luggage or greet us when we got into the hotel and out of the taxi. Staff just standing around talking to each other while we struggled. The room was nice, as is the building. It looks 5 star. The bed is rock hard, so if you like soft mattresses it's not for you. Also, don't believe the international signage. The only part that's international is English writing in the elevators. TV is all Chinese, Internet is Chinese only, although free wifi. The bathrooms in the lobby area were really dirty. Bodily fluids on the floor and on the toilet seats. Doesn't look maintained. No toilet paper either - so doesn't seem to be checked regularly. Staff were friendly enough, and tried their best to communicate with me in English, which was nice. Location was convenient for me, close to TienHe by metro or taxi, and taxi comes in around 10y which is very affordable. Also some restaurants and coffee shops around. Seems to be many students as some universities are close by. Overall a nice hotel and not bad value by any means - especially compared to the price points of the regular 5 star.
