not the best experience
Hotel experience was not exactly comfortable. It was a steep climb on road to the hotel. No elevator, very difficult for older people. Rooms were nice but no drinking water given by hotel, had to be purchased. Beakfast was on plat, not buffet.

Delicious Food and nice stuff
Enjoy Rice & Curry in the Restaurant of Amanda Hills! It was awesome there! Definitely one of the best cooks in Sri Lanka!! Hotel stuff very helpful. Organised a great day trip to Sigiriya and Dambulla for a really reasonable price. Everything was perfect, we can recommend to stay there!

In the Holiday Hotel, not only feel the tall on the luxury to feel more warm the hearts of the service attitude, convenient transportation, perfect facilities, and so on. Give me here tourism leave a good impression, come again next time travel will return, but also will give friends around in Holiday Hotel, really manually praise!

The restaurant had a nice view and the people serving were pleasant.
the Amanda hills was way up high and for access to reception you had to walk down three flights of steps. The restaurant was nice and the breakfast was ok Our rooms were ok and fairly clean but the TV didn't work. It's fine for one night but there are so many other hotels and guest houses nearby to choose from. When we left, five members of staff came to wave us off watching my 15 year old son struggle with our suitcase up the three flights of stairs to the taxi in 30 degree heat!

Dirty rooms, bedbugs and rude staff
What an horrible experience! Deceives, lies, arrogant manager, rude workers, dirty rooms, and hiding from us the fact that mosquitoes and bedbugs are everywhere. Who would have known there were so many bugs? We booked five rooms for one night, but were informed there were only four rooms when we got there, so we had to go searching for rooms in the dark. The manager's original phrase was, "Yes, I know you booked five rooms, but four is all we have. Your eleven people can squeeze into four rooms, but I will take 90% of the charge for the fifth room, fair enough?" At least they only lied about it and did not spam back. Fortunately we found a lovely room in the neighboring guesthouse. When we arrived at the hotel, no one came to welcome us. You'll have to climb to the fifth floor's reception to meet the manager as if you are visiting the king. Every time you need to get help you have to repeat this all over again; some genius design! There is a hotel bell at ground floor which you can press for attendance. So we used it, but the employees came rushing down ordering us to stop annoying them, and that we were supposed to go 5th floor. Well then, what was the bell supposed to be for? There wasn't a mosquito net in the room, and we were convinced that there were definitely no mosquitoes. But after we were stung, the workers reluctantly took out the mosquito repellent after a lot of complaning of whiny guests. Apparently they knew the truth with the mosquitoes, otherwise why would have they prepared repellents? And by the way, when we found bedbugs, we were told not to yell and make a big fuss over it.
