Good location decent value”
Great location. Super close to the train station Amsterdam Centraal that takes you everywhere. Street can be busy late in the night and you can hear sounds from inside the room. Bathroom was clean with some counter space. The lighting was quite dim and it was cramped with more than one person. The shower head had two nozzles. Gave new towels everyday. Beds were comfy but within an arm lengths of each other (we stayed in triple room). Each bed had their own outlets but unfortunately one didn’t work and another charged things really slowly. Not much space to move around so if your staying here you really want to be out most of the day. There was a TV but we didn’t use it. It required a 5 euro deposit that you could get back at the end of your stay. Free tea and coffee are provided in the lobby (we didn’t try it). The stairs were rough. Extremely steep and we were only on the second floor. Definitely recommend asking for a lower floor number. Dragging a suitcase up would be a nightmare (luckily we had backpacks). Staff were friendly enough. There was a safe for valuables. Reception 24 hours a day. Rooms were generally well kept and with modern amenities. AC was provided. There’s a slight cigarette stench in the hotel which is annoying but can be fixed by turning on the AC and opening the window. Be warned it has no screen and it very large so be careful with kids.

The hotel is at the heart of the city, the staff are accommodating and friendly. They clean the rooms everyday, and provided fresh towels etc. We will definitely come back again.

Great location ”
7-minute walk from the train station and at the Dam square is unbeatable, all others can give. Walkable to the Anne Frank House, which was why we were at Amsterdam. It also has a free coffee machine and free tea. Please add hot chocolate for younger kids. The bathroom is amazing. Our room provides a set of thoughtful triple beds, perfect. Wish there is one more light on top of the closet. Wish the corners of the rooms and the floor are cleaned betters. Beddings are very clean. There was a mosquito got in the room. I have talked to the manager about it. He said previous guests took the screens down and mosquitos got in from the back alley. Probably need openable/closable screens. Overall, this place is exceptional for the value and location. Just need more lighting to upgrade the overall feeling.

This hotel is very convenient because it is close to the station. The room is small, so you can't open a large suitcase, but it's well cleaned.

Basic hotel near everything”
Pros: excellent location with lots of cheap wars nearby and near the red light District. Room had airconditioning/heating and a nice hot shower. Friendly night staff who even helped Carry our bags up to the 4th floor. Cons:: NO ELEVATOR so you have to Carry your bags up to the room which isn’t too much of a problem unless you have rocks in your luggage lol! We had a room with no window so was relatively quiet, but you can hear People talking in the hallway. No food allowed in the room, but no Big deal, we always ate out anyway. Overall we had a pleasant stay, and cant complain given the cheap price for a Basic room just to sleep in. Will probably stay again.

Very good for a 1Star Hotel”
The room was small. It was clean, not 100% but for a 1 Star Hotel more than fine! Shower was great, free coffee/tea at the reception, location was perfect! Don't expact too much, but its one of the best 1 Star hotels i have slept in... Only negative: It is not allowed to take food from outside in the hotel room.

Nice Location to explore Amsterdam”
I stayed there in June. It is about 10 minute walk from the train station and quite easy to find. It is 2 floors up the stair cases to reception so it is a bit difficult to bring up the suitcases but is manageable. Location is good which is why I took it, its ok there for a few days.

Dutch staff was rude”
Pros: good location, clean, Asia lady front desk is nice (night shift). Con: Dutch staff (morning shift) was rude. Nobody at the front desk at 6am+. We called many time as the coffee machine is off. He appeared at 6.26am. He said can’t use the coffee machine, it only operates after 7.30am. We told him that we check out at 7am. He did not answer us. He was so rude. We’ve never been informed the coffee machine can’t be used in the early morning if not, I will keep the hot water the night before.

Had a luggage. They don't have elevator. The staff wasn't helpful at all.

The staff was very rude and mean. The showers flooded every time and the entire bathroom had about an inch or two of water High each time we showered for 3 minutes. We couldn’t even take showers because it flooded and was so bad. The staff was very awful and rude so i would not recommend.

The receptionist, a dutch guy with glasses that met us on arrival seemed kind of angry, at least no smile to us, welcoming etc We got a room at first floor under the stairs, it was horrible. People up and down any time of day. Also talking very loudly at night or in the morning at 5 am. Should be a sign for respect other guests(but should be unnecessary).The walls are thin so easy to hear neigbour snore. Also when somebody showered, it felt like the water was inside the room. The window, facing the buildng nearby, we could look into their kitchen, and not able to open. In the night we heard people talk and also smoke from weed into our room. Not really a nice experience. It seemed like the window were open, but just not isolated.The bathroom was renovated, shower ok, but no heater on floor, also none in the room , just an aircon. We were freezing even 20 degrees outside. Wondering about other seasons? The lights, 2 dowlights over the bed, miss some more at least some by the bed. Free Coffee and tea, but not really tasty. Tv channels, only CNN for english talking guests. Cleaning every day (nails in the chair), location very good. If we willstay again? Probably not. If you have backproblems be aware of all the stairs. Not really cheap, pluss citytax( everywhere)-expect more.
