I very like hotel staff ,thay all very friendly and hearty”

Have cleaner staff, but why can't cleaner room? Because i stay 6 days on here, i clean myself ,for business trip, when i come back hotel already tired ,not much time i can do it

Really close to Sakura Tram station, the only tram line remaining in Tokyo. The hotel was clean, the staffs were incredibly polite, had induction heater and microwave inside the room, close to a JR Pass station, and had washing machine and dryer.

Room quite small but nice and clean. Provide everything all you need and more from reception. I can made easy cooking by microwave and mini kitchen in my room its be comfortable. Many convenience store, restaurant near by and not expensive. A few minute to tram train also can walk to JR and Tokyo metro. I love here, see you next time.

We will recommend this hotel. The price is affordable with the service and facilities provided. They have all basic necessities and facilities we need. The staff is very friendly, helpful and effective to. They are very honest when it comes to their customer. My friend left my wallet in the room in the morning of our check out and they trying to contact us ASAP to inform us about it. Thanks to the fast information we could retrieve the wallet before our flight later in the evening. Thanks for everything. If we have opportunity next time will come to stay here again.

they allowed us to leave our luggages while we move around. by the time we checked in the luggages are already inside the room. The reception staff are very accomodating. this is a good place . will book in again next visit

I travelled with my mom. The place is situated in ikebukuro walking distance from sunshine city. 1 min walk toden arakawa tram . my mom is senior citizen and using the tram to reach otsuka sta made it easier .

Good amenities hotel ”

The location is okay if you don't mind hiking up a slight hilly road around 10-15 mins. But there is a tram nearby for you to ride if you are too tired to walk. I love the kitchenette room and i will stay there again if I go to Tokyo again next time.

Hotel Mystays Higashi-Ikebukuro is highly recommended for budget travelers. Very near the train and subway stations, restaurants and convenience stores. The rooms are clean and the staff are very accommodating.

One min away from Mukohara St. ng Sakura Tram and 7-10 mins walk from Otsuka Station JR Yamanote Line. You can take the Sakura Tram to Otsuka or you can walk. The room size is okay, not nor small, just enough for 2 people. The bed is comfy too. The hotel do not have free room cleaning service, you’d have to personally change towels and replace amenities in the lobby. We were fine with that. 2 convenience stores near the hotel and a restaurant just beside. Over all we had a nice stay and we’d definitely be back again.

Room was very small but hotel does offer many toiletries, tea and coffee for free. Location is great, very close to the mall and just 5 minutes walk from the train/subway station. Staff is friendly and even though they barely speak English they will try they best to help you.

Besides the bed being extremely hard & the room being small, the room was relatively nice. Very clean. Though you had to throw your own trash away, & recycle your towels, it was a nice place to lay my head after a long day of traveling. There is a 7/11 across the hotel & one a minute away, so that was very nice. It was also a decent walk to a major JR line which was also nice after a long day of walking. Overall I would stay again.

OK Budget Hotel”

Having stayed at a lot of similar hotels, including other MyStays, this really wasn't the best. It was a bit worn out and musty. However, the staff were very kind and the value for money and location were quite good. It's actually a really easy walk to Ikebukuro Station proper, even though it isn't the closest. (It's also worth noting that the do not make up your room, and it's a bit like an extended stay mixed with a budget hotel.)

Decent budget hotel - terrible water pressure though!”

Booked this hotel for a night, last minute. Had a decent rate for Tokyo. Located in a quieter neighburhood, but not too far to walk from several stations, and very close to a tram stop. Convenience store accross the road (although may require you to walk down to the light to cross as it is a busy road). Clean room with all the expected amenities. Extra amenities such as herbal teas available from free at reception. Only complaint was the water pressure. I had a cold at the time and was looking forward to a nice bath. I gave up on filling it up as that would have taken a couple of hours at the rate it was going.

My second time to stay in this hotel : )”

This is my second time to stay in this hotel and I am expecting to book this hotel more frequent for my future trip to Tokyo. It has been as nice as I have been here before. Despite that the staff at reception could not speak any English, they are all very helpful and nice.

This hotel locates near JR Otsuka station which is only 5 minutes walk from the station. Reasonable price with such good location and nice and tidy room, it is certainly a hotel value-for-money. If you go from JR Otsuka stattion, there is a steep slope on the way heading for the hotel. For girls with builky and heavy luggages may found it devastating to walk up that "hill". You may of course wait in from of the station and wait for the tram. It takes only 3 minutes for the tram to get from JR Otsuka Station to the next stop which is nearest to the hotel. Then it takes only less than 1 minute walk from the stop to the hotel. Keep in mind that the waiting time for the tram could be long and the last tram would be around 8pm. Not a good choice if in a rush. Another choice to get to the hotel would be from JR Ikebukuro Station, Higashi-exit. Though it would take around 15 minutes walk, you will pass through the renowned Sunshine-Dori and loads of other shops along by. The reception of the hotel is located on the 1/F and you will need to waslk up a stairs from the ground floor. A lift could take you up from the ground floor to all other floors of the hotel. However, the operating time of the lift has been 0800 - 2200. For all other time, you will have to walk up and down the stairs. Some of the room amenities are available at the Hotel Lobby. You may take from the Lobby for what you need for free. Some of the amenities are charged. If you are staying here for more than 1 night and you have not bring your own towels, you may take from the Lobby as well. But you will have to take it as soon as possible since its limited in supply and they would not refill the basket if all towels are taken. This hotel will charge for cleaning service if you would like their cleaning staff to tidy up your room. I would recommend this hotel for short stay.

Rooms are clean, and the availability of the laundry machines is awesome. The hotel is a 10-minute walk to JR Station. Btw, there are also convenience shops and cheap places to eat around the hotel which was good after a long day of exploring.
