Every since I started working in the travel industry 30 plus years ago, I've wanted to stay at the Inverlochy Castle. I checked this off my bucket list in Aug '19. the stay exceeded my expectations. The staff was so friendly. The grounds are stunning to walk around. The common areas and rooms are fantastically appointed. I would highly recommend whiskey tasting and wine pairing with dinner. The sommelier was so well versed in both whiskey and wine, I learned a lot about both in a very short amount of time. I can't say enough about this property. It should be a must on anyone's travel bucket list.

A great experience”
The hotel is just beautiful. The staff were super friendly and offered a lot of helpful advice for exploring the area and for travelling in Scotland. The rooms are spacious and lots of nice touches that kept the historic features with modern world conveniences. Would stay here again if I'm in the area.

Amazing place with an amazing service”
This is an excellent place to chill out. Our room, the Queen suite was amazing and had lovely views. The food was excellent and the chefs take real pride in the presentation. Breakfast was from a menu and they adapted it to your liking. One of the few places where an extra charge was not imposed if having breakfast in bed. I cannot fault this place except for the price you pay. But if you want amazing luxury and want your other half to be impressed, this is the place to take her!

A couple of days being feeling special”
We booked a suite and were delighted to be given the Queens Suite, apparently this was Queen Victorias room when she stayed 130 years ago, thankfully the room has be refurbished to a high standard since then. I cannot reccomend the staff highly enough, all willing to go that extra mile for you. Will definitely stay again if up in the area. I woukd suggest you get in touch prior to visit to look at things the Hotel could arrange for you. Eg Clay Pigeon shooting.

Impeccable attention to detail”
The castle is stunning. The room we stayed in was spacious and very comfortable. No tea/coffee in the room - deliberate I’m sure but it would have been nice. We had afternoon tea and dinner at the castle. Both were delicious and service is outstanding. Every one of the staff we encountered went above and beyond. An exceptional place to stay but quite expensive.

A pleasant splurge for 10 day road trip!”
We had a 10 day road trip itinerary of Scotland and decided to make this stop in ft William a day of pleasure and relaxation... the castle was beautiful and made us feel like we had taken a trip into the past. The grounds were quite and well manicured. It was a warm evening and we slept with our windows open... to awaken with birds chirping right outside our window was a treat. The dinner was very expensive but we all agreed that the meat was the most tender and tasteful of the entire trip... we would definitely return but for two nights minimum!!

Amazing hotel with beautiful surroundings”
The staff were amazingly attentive, and considerate. Food was the main highlight of the hotel. Surrounding area of the hotel was very nice with little walks around the hotel, to the lake, and around the lake itself with Ben Nevis as the backdrop. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Inverlochy Castle Hotel”
We stayed 4 nights at the castle hotel and it was lovely. I do have to say that when we arrived, our room was a bit out of sorts and needed some work to remove the scuff marks from the bottom cabinet drawers where someone had pushed them in with their foot/shoe, also the bedside tables were positioned awkwardly, the lamp shades were all leaning to the side. Just a lot of small issues that made the room look very much UN-like a 5-star castle hotel with French chefs....the manager came up and was very accommodating, even providing a bottle of champagne along with a sincere apology. Aside from the initial disappointment with the room that was absolutely made right by the staff, the remainder of our stay was perfect in every way. The care the guests receive, as well as prompt room service, hot, delicious food (I ordered from the children's menu that is only found online...and it was fabulous!!!). The grounds are gorgeous and we would love to someday return for another stay!

Fulfilling a 20 year old wish.”
Twenty years ago, on a previous trip to Scotland, we attempted to book the Inverlochy Castle Hotel but were not able to do so when we were going to be in the area. On this trip, with plenty of lead time, we were able to secure reservations. While not a castle itself, the hotel is a beautiful old country estate which has been converted into an exquisite, 17 room hotel with high end dining (coat provided should you have forgotten yours). After a slow start (it took three attempts to get some bath soap in the room), everything went well. Staff was a mixed bag from our perspective, due to soap issue. “That’s not my job” attitude was noted similar to other establishments we encountered in Scotland.

Beautiful castle BUT…..”
Most expensive stay of 3+ week stay in 5* resorts through Scotland. Breakfast views lovely, service very good, nice options for hot selection. Very small room compared to other castle/resorts we stayed in. Strangely comforter was blankets rather than down as in other locations & coverlet was stained. Poor access for plugs & edges of room could use deep clean/paint. If Michelin dining is your priority, then stay here logical. Due to staffing shortages everywhere during this trip the $$ does not meet expectations therefore my low rating for value. Beautiful interiors & live harpist while we visited. Some of most friendly staff!!!!

not worth it”
This was my life long dream to stay in a castle. This place was 5 times more expensive than any other place we stayed. Food was just average. We had many more exceptional meals and services at other places. Service was slow for dinner. Only average.. we ordered room service for breakfast. It was cold and lacked. variety and was a very poor culinary experience. It was so not worth what we paid, doesn’t live up to the many cheaper places we stayed. Oh well, bucket list completed.. would not recommend.

The hotel is beautiful, but the interiors need a bit of updating while still maintaining the historic character. I feel it is a bit overpriced for what you are getting. Service was fine but not exceptional.

Lovely place with great walks around”
Plenty of places to explore and walk around. In event of poor weather, some facilities to indulge in as well ie playing the piano or billiard. Staff was receptive and friendly.

Our stay was lost exceptional. A lovely hotel with a warm and wonderful staff. The rooms were beautiful and ammentities were exceptional. The only complaint I could voice is we had dinner and although again the service was wonderful and the dinning room fabulous, men must wear jackets, the food was way to salty for me, other than that it was divine.

Amazing place but grounds need maintenance ”
The hotel itself is beautiful, the staff around the best I’ve experienced and the food extremely good. However, there were some signs of wear and tear and only basic repairs in the rooms which should not be present when paying around £500 per night. Also the grounds are in many areas overgrown and clearly not what they once were. The old greenhouse appears to store junk and has a number of large trees growing through its roof . There was also the remains of a couple of burnt mattresses lying by the path next to the walled garden. The grounds let the property down badly.
