this is a very bad hotel. the room was dirty. the hall way was dark and dirty too. I was given old towels torn apart. The tea kettle was decorated with finger prints. Breakfast was also awful.

May suit some - not us ”
Good: - Close to central pattaya, walking st, saisong etc, nice pool area. - concierge friendly Not so good: - With a very good brand name (mercure) we were expecting a nice clean hotel. however our room had a strong dust smell and was aged (especially the bathroom) - Hotel clearly targets tour groups , we were woken at 2am when these groups returned from their night out..(in pattaya...guess we shouldnt complain). Anyway it was the same groups of travellers in the morning - at breakfast who would get their food and literally start eating with their hands - next to the food trays ! (staff not doing anything about this) . - Breakfast was just ok - probably should have gone outside for the amount paid though ! Conclusion Can't agree with the 4 star rating , neither the facilities or staff can justify - sorry. The barraquda (right in front and a sister hotel) would have been a much better choice or the travelodge which is almost next door - both much newer

Stayed here many times, but it’s just getting old, was fed a line at desk about upgrade but it wasn’t, room was run down and everything just old.... beer bottles from previous night left by pool and numerous staff walked passed all day and didn’t clean up... its a shame because great position, won’t be back

Mercure Hotel”
I loved this hotel. The building is an older building but I loved the size of the rooms and location. The balcony was big enough to have beach chair to lie down in. The pool was huge and warm whenever I went in the water. During the summer they have a dinner buffet on Friday and Saturday nights. They were pretty good. Seafood, shrimp, crab, lobster, ribs, sausage, cheese, bread, salad bar, cold pasta salad, pasta bar, etc. It was worth the $20 USD price including VAT and service charge. The breakfast was just ok. It wasn't worth the $10USD I paid. The IBIS hotel in pattaya also had a breakfast buffet when I stayed there and it was just ok. Both were ok but not really great. If you have been at the club all night long as I was and it's breakfast time and you just need to eat as much as you can then do it.

Making up room”
Room make up(clean the room and bed making) is too late every day. It should be finished by noon 12 AM. And even after clean up, flower of the room is still not clean enoght.

Hotel had seen better days but the pool area is quite nice, apart from the loud music pumped out by the hotel all day long which is not really conducive to a relaxing experience. On the plus side, the pool area is quite a sun trap and the pool is very clean.

On our first day we found the cockroach in the bathroom. A lot of in-room amenities were missing. On the day we checked out, one of the staff members called us insisting on us informing her the time we would check out! We found this extremely rude. Normally, the front would be more indirect (e.g. asking if we need help with our luggage (aka bell service) and when).

was shocked they say pet freindly but charge 500 baht a night with no information on the booking only tell you when you get there then have party night for new year no info given on booking when i asked they say for the ticket one thousound one hundred baht each but no info on what you get or what happens on the night maybe allright if you have been before

I have stayed here three times and would do again. The hotel is in a great location within walking distance of shops, restaurants, massage, cinema. The room is comfortable, but the shower was lacking pressure. The hotel was busier than previous visits and breakfast staff had difficulty keeping dishes topped up and clearing tables. At quieter times this was not a problem. Some good changes have been made in the last year. My friends said that their room has had some work done, although mine had not yet been done. The staff were friendly and provided a good service. I will probably be back next year.

Terrible housekeeping ”
The housekeeper only rinsed out my used cutlery instead of giving us new washed cutlery. The booking said pool view room but we were put in the corner room and you can only see the pool (very limited view) when standing right at the other corner of your balcony. Noise from outdoor TV/projector were so loud even after 10pm. We had to request a few times to have them lower their volume. Room and facilities are aging and need full facelift. The photos show on their website is far from the real ones. Outdoor terrace awning has water leak. Too far from main road Beach Rd. A lot of Indian tourists. Stay away from this place

Excellent place to stay, but the WiFi was very shoddy”
For some strange reason, I was unable to access the WiFi on my Apple iPhone. The staff did there best to resolve the problem without any luck. My friend had a Samsung device and was able to connect easily even though the speed was slow.

It is in a quiet location but only minutes away from the busier areas. Only down side reaĺly was the quality of the breakfast. Not worth 390 BHT. You can buy a token at the reception for 280 BHT but the breakfast is still disappointing at that. Good place for family vacations I think
