We stayed at the residence deluxe king room and it was great! room was clean, new and spacious (~50sqm) + had a washing machine for us to do laundry. exceptional value for money. great location - 2min walk away from train station, with easy connections to other lines. would have been perfect if the airport limousine bus service was running, since the hotel had a bus stop right at its doorstep! not the fault of the hotel though. would definitely return to this hotel for my future seoul holidays. thanks to the novotel team for the great stay!

We originally booked a one night stay in a Deluxe 1-bedroom suite, but ended up staying in a lovely Premier 1-bedroom suite - not sure why but didn't complain!!! Everything was very clean. We loved the big round bathtub, the music system and also the views from the window of the 13th floor. Our suite was 1329. Brilliant.

huge room, perfect location and access to subway lines”
This is my second stay at this hotel in two years. This time I had a premier one-bedroom king suite. The kitchen was awesome with a regular refrigerator and freezer. I needed the ice! I have stayed in the busier area of Myeongdong on previous trips, but like the Dongdaemun area better. DDP is about five minutes away, the subway lines are also. I didn't use the pool during either stay. The staff is very helpful. This is my 'go-to' hotel in Seoul now.

My Choice Hotel in Seoul”
Stayed 6 nights at The Residence tower. One of the best. Love the layout! They were so thoughtful to hv detergent prepared for kitchen & washing machine. Love the space in the shower area & powder room. There is a hotel shuttle service to a few areas like Myeongdong-Namdaemun etc. To Jace & Terry the frontline staff on the ground floor. Thank you for your sincerity & smiles when we approached you for assistance!

Hotel is well located in Dongdaemun. Theres plenty of good food options nearby for all times of the day. Staff are helpful, room was comfortable, overall a very good experience on my first stay here :)

Great location, just near the subway and all dongdaemun shops. Very clean, staff speaks English well and is very helpful and professional! Rooms are very thoughtfully designed and is controlled by tablet. Hotel is new.

we have stayed in the one bedroom residence. it was very clean and spacious. one of the best sound proofing rooms we have stayed. have genie system in the room for control. location of the hotel is very convenient, food and stores are close by. service from staff was great. everything would be prefect if they have spa/massage service.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay at the Dongdaemun Novotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nice (a little small, but it's the city so that's to be expected). I highly recommend paying extra for the buffet breakfast; excellent variety of food and was a great way to start the day. The only annoyance we had was when we wanted to use the pool. We had to pay $40 (USD!) for two swimming caps that we wore for 1 hour. There was another couple in the pool with us and they weren't wearing swimming caps, but nobody said anything about them. In terms of location, there was a metro entrance half a block away from the hotel, and an airport bus stop that was 10 steps away! Super convenient. As the hotel is quite new, the taxi driver at the airport to the hotel couldn't find it on the map. My advice is to have the address ready in Korean for the taxi drivers to put in their GPS. Otherwise, we had a very comfortable stay!

Good hotel but some service should be improved.....First day when we arrived at hotel and we stored our 7 luggages before check in(we got a card without hotel guest name)We went out and we lost the luggage card ! We told the staff on check in counter but they didn't know how to find our luggage without the card! If someone got the luggage card then they might able to take it out of the hotel and that's very terrible for guests!And my lover was angry and fighting with me after the check in in lobby because of the stored luggage! I went to the room first then my lover came with the staff to the room later ,his door card was unable to open the door and I can't hear the door bell ,too! I think novotel needs to think about more for guests service(I was very unhappy after the check in and came to the. hotel room, my first bad experience)我們到了旅館先寄放行李，拿到一張沒我們姓名的卡片，回旅館要入住發現卡片不見了（撿到的人應該拿去旅館就可以把行李都拿走了，很恐怖），問櫃臺人員他們也不知所措然後我的另一半在大廳為了重要的行李跟我吵了起來，他還要跟服務員從20樓大廳到1樓去找行李，上來房間後發現他的房卡是不能用的，按電鈴我也聽不到，剛到就吵架

Great Hotel! A little pricey for some of the features (breakfast/lunch/dinner), but overall it was a good stay! I have definitely stayed at cheaper hotels so it depends on what you want, but I felt very safe and very welcomed! Would stay again!

Modern, clean, still new”
We booked residence studio with kitchen, utensil and rice cooker, washing machine. The indoor and outdoor is awesome. You can look up through the partial transparent ceiling from the indoor pool to the bottom of the outdoor pool, very interesting. Breakfast buffet has wide variety and high ceiling. Overall, it is worthwhile and a pleasant stay.

One thing we love about the hotel is the convenience of location close to the Airport Limo Bus, room though a little small but sufficient for 2 in the Standard Double Double we booked. Toilet facilities was the best I've seen so far. Location is only 2 stops from Myeongdong where most Halal restaurants and night market are a buzz!
