I arrived at the Mandolay as a female 21 year-old travelling alone for a job interview, and was welcomed with open arms by such warm and kindhearted staff. My room was perfect - spacious, warm and had a lovely view of the hotel’s Christmas lights outside. In the morning, the reception staff were wonderful and helped me with much last-minute interview printing and awkward admin as if it were no problem at all! The catering team for breakfast were also very friendly, which calmed my nerves tremendously - and the food was fantastic and fresh (choice between a buffet or hot food menu, with a fresh juice selection and coffee). Overall, what a wonderful experience!! 5 stars across the board :)

Very clean & comfortable. Parking was expensive although street parking was available nearby. ”
Our room was excellent. We chose not to pay extra for on-site parking which we felt was expensive and easily found free street parking very close by. We arrived late and the restaurant was closed. We asked about nearby restaurants and were told there weren’t any but we very easily found one very nearby. Lovely hotel and very well situated. Happy to recommend it.

My stay was nice enough. The room felt a little dated to me and the bed creaked which meant I didn't feel like I was in a hotel that warranted the cost. It is quite a pricey place to stay and you have to pay extra to park the car which makes your stay even more expensive. I also didn't appreciate the advance check in procedure, which I attempted online but did not work, and then proceeded to send me numerous texts and emails to nag me into doing it. I felt quite pressurised to do something I'm sure could have been handled easily at reception.

My stay at The Mandolay was terrific! The staff were very accommodating, the room was beautiful and the bed was extremely comfortable. I’ll be staying here again the next time I make it down to Guildford :)

My only complaint was that the toilet was small and had no extraction. Otherwise, it was a very clean room. We'll presented and the staff were very friendly and efficient.

The main problem with this hotel was the small tight car park where you are charged £15 per day and my car was covered in Bird poo from 1 overnight stay

Hotel was very clean and neat. Quaint. Close to High Street and walking distance from the London Road Rail station but 2km from Guildford main station. My bathroom overflowed on the day I was checking out which was gross but otherwise I had a very pleasant stay.

Great Stay - Attention to detail could have enhanced experience”
Clean and well presented hotel. Some areas were a little tired and could have been improved - the wash basin was very slow to drain and the water pressure on the shower was more of a trickle than a jet. Overall great night's sleep, well presented and so worth a stay but nothing that sets it apart from a Premier Inn in my opinion.
