Comfortable overnight stay”
Have stayed here twice before with my husband several years ago, so it was nostalgic to come back. As always the reception staff were really pleasant and efficient. I love the quirkiness of it and it was a bit of an adventure to find my room with all the corridors and stairs, but once there the room was clean, comfortable and warm. All the necessities were there. My only slight criticism would be that all the lights are low energy and I would have liked a brighter bedside light. Also a slighter longer cable to the kettle would have been nice, but neither was a problem. Lovely, comfortable bed, which is all important. Very enjoyable.

I travelled with my 4-week old infant and although we arrived a little early, the staff, Manu was kind enough to let us check in early so I could change the baby. The room was nice and clean and quiet. We had a wonderful stay and I would definitely go back to stay when I visit Brighton again.

Booked good deal months in advance to stay after a show. Expected a remote room with no view but got a very good sized room, side sea view. All staff very helpful from garage to waiting. Obviously great location. Good choice at b'fast.

August bank holiday is always a busy time in Brighton but the Ship was value for money, there are better hotels out there but you certainly pay more. It certainly has character and in reality it could do with a bit of a revamp but it’s position was perfect as everything we needed to go to was 10-15 mins walk away. And great atmosphere in the bar/front over the weekend. 3rd time staying there!

This room was a great price, the hotel was in a great location and the room was clean and well maintained. Shower pressure wasn't great but good enough. I would stay again.

the hotel is a old hotel, thats to be expected if you decide to stay here. its not modern at all, but thats what you get. but, its in a really great location, close to the pier and beach. the american diner is just a 2 minute walk from the hotel. our room was a basic room, which was cleaned really really well, no problems with the sheets or towels. bathroom was very clean too! bed was extremely comfortable! staff were friendly and helpful if you needed anything. my boyfriend needed a fork at around 4am to eat some instant noodles, and they managed to find him one lol, they also provided us with extra towels when needed. some issues we had, room gets extremely warm and stuffy, we luckily had a fan in the room which was stored in the wardrobe. but, this hotel needs air conditioning badly. the floorboards in our room were very creaky too, unsure about other rooms. the breakfast was lovely, but you have to now order your breakfast to be bought over as of covid restrictions, so no buffet. the breakfast was a bit sparse, unsure if we could have asked for more as its usually a buffet before the covid restrictions. check in is at 3pm, which is annoying as you would need to carry your luggage around if you arrive before then, but luckily they had a storage closet which was free to be used before you check in. all in all, it was a fine stay for us for one night, great for location and room was ok, apart from a few minor issues. if you prefer a modern hotel, this isnt the place for you.

Lovely hotel... nice rooms & quite big..its very central..Staff nice & friendly...You carn't check in till 3pm but you can leave your bags & luggage...also when you check out.. Paid a good price on Agoda👍would recommend

Good points are that the food was excellent, The hotel itself was excellent in the public areas but the bedroom was rather tired , . Very clean . No fridge ! It was very,very noisy all through the night due to traffic and footfall along the promenade.Got to sleep at 4am . Off this is not the hotel’s fault but it did spoil our stay
