Big family room - perfect for 4 adults”
Value for money, you can't beat it! Free parking. Nice pub in vicinity. Very comfortable beds. Large room easily housed our family group of 4 adults (1 double and two singles).

Lovely welcome on arrival!”
I was feeling a bit stressed on arrival, as I’d been caught up in traffic, and would be late for my meeting with someone, but Rhianna on Reception was brilliant. She gave me a lovely smile when I walked in, and when I asked how long it would take to walk into town, she said 20 mins, but suggested getting a taxi. I said they’ll take that long to get here, no they won’t she reassured me, I’ll ring them for you now. I also explained I wasn’t in a car parking bay (very busy), but she said that’s fine, just put this slip of paper on your dashboard. She couldn’t have been more helpful - thank you Rhianna and Travelodge :-)

Family Stay”
Having stayed numerous times over past 5 years (not Covid times) we knew what to expect especially with such an old building! Unfortunately the food//menu was very limited not like our original visits and not good value. There are numerous places to eat in the town to compensate.

Cheap and very chearful ”
After reading reviews I was anxious to stay here but honestly for the price of our family room was well worth it! It was not the most up to date travelodge we have ever stayed in but the room was big, clean and the bed was extra comfy.

Booked for the weekend fir a wedding at the spa hotel! Good value for money a very spacious room all staff were very friendly including housekeeping, would definitely come back

Very well located, 10 minutes from the railway station and the center of the town too on foot. Not expensive but no facilities you have to bring with you all you need, for example; shower gel,.... only the towels are at your disposal. It was a good deal for me as I was looking for a cheaper hotel and well located. It was only for business travel and staying alone. I think it’s not an hotel for holiday or having long stay. It matched with my personal needs. The staff was kind and helpful.

Very old building but value for money”
We were surprised to find this Travel lodge was in an old building unlike all the new type of Travel lodges we have stayed in before. It was not as clean as usual stains on the bed runner. Although the bathroom was of good size it needed to be renovated as it was in bad repair which was over painted to a bad standard. The room was a good size but we did not get a good sleep due to noise outside in the corridor and the room became very hot during the night so we had to open the window. We requested a paid parking space but on arrival the small carpark was full. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I never post reviews however i believe this on deserved one! On arrival reception was empty so we waited 15 mins before having to call the number and ask for someone to come down to reception there was no bell or alerter. We wasnt shown to our room but when we found it the room window was open when we entered and it was freezing!! There was no hand soap it was water in the dispenser, the ceiling was peeling and there were large fluffy cobwebs hanging from the light fitting on the ceiling, staff were polite enough but very vague when trying to make conversation there was extra pillows to hand in the room however no iron to hand or hairdryer, we wasn't made aware of our check out time or the times of breakfast however it is in a good location close to town and a lovely restaurant/ pub across the road. I probably would stay again if the rates were cheaper as the price I paid was not to the value of what I recieved

This is a dated travel lodge and wouldn’t pay more than £40 per night as food is poor at best bar is like you would expect in a garden shed bar and most expensive can or bottle of beer you will ever buy Apart from that rooms are clean but dated
