Wonderful farm living experience, gorgeous site”

The farm is really big and each standalone cottage is spaced very far from others, 99.9 percent privacy except for the sheeps would be around paying a visit to eat the grass surrounding the cottage, very fun to look at afar, i stayed Seagle Nest which is nicely designed and romantic, 5 minutes walk to the scenic Derwent River, the breakfast provided is big enough for eating for two morning. There are corner cafe within 5 minutes drive to Hamilton and around 35 minutes drive to woolworth at New Norfolk to get supplies, since I requested the BBQ, didn't have to worry about my first night dinner, I drove to New Norfolk to get my second night supply. If you are driving, better be at the cottage before dark, otherwise difficult to find, and with the farm is dark at night, need to drive 3km into the cottage from reception house (though it a good experience) and a tip for using "Neverlost" GPS I rent from the car rental, the door number is not correct, better type in the door number given by Tim. One night is not enough. Great that we decided to spend two nights to have sufficient time for enjoy in this lovely farm.

The farm stay is a highlight of the trip”

Had a great day in Curringa Farm that turned out to be the highlight of our trip. We started off with a farm tour in the morning and it was such a memorable experience being surrounded by sheep running in a circle. After that, we checked in the cottage and basically stayed there the whole afternoon watching sheep wandering around outside the window. Nice place for people to have a taste of life outside the city!

    Great farmstay”

Great scenery, quiet surroundings, spacious room

Curringa Farm seaglenest studio is a very spacious and comfortable room suitable for couples. Having a BBQ dinner at night at the balcony while you soak in the peacefulness of the surroundings was a great experience for me. You can actually see wallabies hopping around in the evening and the sea eagle soaring above its nest from the accommodation.

Awesome stay for young couples and families”

Quiet and Peace surrounded area, a very comprehensive farm tour

It was definitely one of my most living experiences in my life! The room was definitely suitable for young couples and families of which you could not only enjoy the night to reconnect each other, but also a great experience to stay with lambs in an extraordinary peaceful and lovely farm. The next stay we joined the paid farm tour, which was also a very good experience to not only know more about the farm itself, but also experience more about the beauty of the farm with extraordinary scenes and views. Thank you so much for the serve from Tim and Jane, we definitely had a good stay at Seaglenest! This is a MUST visit for you to travel in Tasmania.

nice accommodation, but the dining needed to be im”

nice bedding, well kitchen equipment, good view from hotel

everything was good in the accommodation, included bedding, kitchen, bathroom, farm; but the quality of dinner needed to be improved. Charge AUD45 per head on dinner, including steak (however, not fresh; meat color was dull), potato, salad (seems like packed salad from supermarket), home-made desert, cheese, etc. The portion is enough, but not really worth for this. Suggested to buy from supermarket by own. Satisfied breakfast, with bacon, biscuit, eggs, milk and orange juice. A bit disappointed on the bread which was made from bread maker. I was expected to stay in the farm, the bread was made from hand by traditional oven. The star and Milky Way at night was wonderful.

    Beautiful scenery ”

The farm is surrounded by mountains and lakes. Very good experience exploring the farm. It is of course somewhat out of the way and city dwellers might not be used to the inconvenience eg no Wifi and meals would have to be basic / self prepared and getting supplies would have to be from a small town called Ouse which is about a 10 - 15 min drive. Driving is a must as the cottages are all km away from the main farm. advisable to check in / travel when the sun is up. It is easy to miss the entry to the farm in darkness even with high beam on. Breakfast supplies were good and the host was friendly and accommodating to our needs.

Sweet deco, can enjoy some private time

There are only 3 cottages in this farm stay, we got the 1-bedroom one, which is a very sweet one, with a grill outdoor, simple kitchen facilities and last but not least, a jacuzzi!!! This jacuzzi can fit two people, so couples can enjoy a relaxin and intimate time! The hosts are also very nice, they would visit you in case they are not at the reception when you check in, and bring you your breakfast ingredients (bacon, egg, butter, bread, milk, juice), all you need for a brekkie in a farm! The deco is very wRm and cozy, just what you need for honeymoon or some couple-only time! Cottages are sparely space so you totally can have the surroundings all by yourself! Definitely wanna come back again soon!

We stayed at studio which is good for couple. It's perfect size n comfortable bed, view facing the lake n you can enjoy breakfast n dinner at the balcony. Must booked the farm tour to understand what Tim n Jane did in addition to the farm stay. Very educational for city peoples or anyone who like to learn more regarding ecosystem. The studio is clean n well equipped. If they can add one small closet that will be perfect. Will recommend to anyone would like to have different experience than to stay at hotel.... this is excellent choice.

Super large house, Sheep everywhere, Full equipped kitchen

The large house is at the middle of the farm, and near the river. Basically there is no other people nearby. There are sheep surrounding the house in day time and they are so lovely!!! We tried to use the BBQ but poorly that we cannot light it. But there is still a fully equipped kitchen to cook. There is also bread, milk, juice, egg provided for breakfast. It would be good to stay there for 2-3 days and join the farm tour if possible.

Amazing views on a clean family run farm”

We stayed for one night only, but it was an amazing experience. The little cottage is sparkling clean, the views are breathtaking. We have asked the family to prepare a BBQ hamper for us as we couldn't be bothered to drive anywhere for dinner, and they've delivered — we got a steak, nice fresh Greek salad, and a home-made apple crumble with thick cream. We also got bacon and eggs to cook for breakfast. The farm is quiet and isolated, you can watch the wildlife and hear the lambs throttling by. The only downside is if you share the amenities with a young wife/husband — there's no toilet door (at least there wasn't in our villa, Seagle), and the toilet bowl is like 1.5 m from the bed, so one of you might need to leave and walk if another wants to spend some time alone is the restroom. If you're not too fussy (we're not), it should be just fine. The views are worth the walk.

    Clean & tidy

Good for people who seek for silence, peace & farm life. It has a well equipped kitchen & jacuzzi, suggested to have a BBQ or cook in the cottage as there has no restaurant around it. The farm owners are friendly & helpful. She will give you a basket of eggs, milk, juice, handmade bread & jam for your breakfast, it is very delicious. I will recommend it to others.
