Best resort to stay”
the staff at this resort so friendly and very helpful.. the beach was soooo soooo beautiful.. this island is very peaceful, not many visitor maybe thrs no any school break or public holiday.. be back again next year.. highly recommended to stay here D'coconut Island Resort..
The white sandy beach was just right in-front of the restaurant. If you're nature lover, there's a complimentary 2hr jungle tracking service provided by the hotel. I actually didn't mind at all that there's no internet connection (Wifi), totally enjoyed the calm serenity and felt very relax. Overall, we had a great time & pleasant stay at D'Coconut Pulat Besar!
EXCELLENT HOSPITALITY & GREAT MEMORABLE RESORT!!”
Thank you to all the staff at D'Coconut. You all provide exceptional excellent customer service. We had a seamless and very comfortable stay at your beautiful resort. The customer friendly approach from staffs till manager Mr Hasib really make our stay a memorable one & looking forward for the next visit. Would highly recommend this resort!
Great place to relac”
We liked out stay in D'Coconut Island Resort. The houses are a bit older, but still up to date. It's quite and calm, very suited for families. Staff is great. If you are seeking for a quiet time and relaxation, I would surely recommend this hotel. From all the resorts on this island, we judged the food best.
Beatiful hotel right on the beach”
d'coconut island resort was located beautifully right next to the beach and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. would defiantly recommend anyone who wants to experience life on a paradise island to stay here.
First to Pulau Besar”
D'coconut resort Good: Friendly staff, food is always enough for everyone, restaurant is beautiful. Bad: Food is less variety, expensive (Lunch=RM25/pax;Dinner=RM35/pax), WIFI is only available at reception, coffee is tasteles, no tea break snack, only tea and coffee. Willing to visit again, advise to bring snacks and some food
Excellent and very accommodating staff”
We were a group of 3 Kayakers, paddling from the beach front of this hotel to Pulau Besar. Staff was very helpful and accommodating allowing us to park our car for 2 days even though we were not staying for those days. Excellent option for budget travellers looking for a beach front accommodation
LOVE THIS RESORT (SIMPLE AND PEACEFUL)”
If you're looking for affordable stay, this is a good choice. Staff are friendly, helpful and energetic(love their happy vibes). Facilities are simple, island was very clean, and peaceful. Food quality was great and price are reasonable, however you have to pre-book your meals once you check in. However, our night were interrupted by the water pump because we're staying right in front of the pump (Room 23-24), couldn't really sleep well as the pump is quite loud. Request earplugs if you're given to these room/ request for another room maybe? Also, there is no guest washroom in the reception area (Hope this can be improved). Overall experience was good, would definitely recommend this resort to our friends and families.
Value for money but can lots of room for improment”
D'Coconut is a small fun sized family resort but you need to go with minimum of expectations. My main gripe would be its pool, which looked a bit murky so we did not swim in it. The food selection was limited and as there were no shops on the island, getting snacks was not possible. The beach & sea was fantastic. As to the coral & snorkeling it was only so so. All in all value for money a good place to relax and do nothing but slightly disappointed as so much potential not realized.
good Location and friendly staff , free upgrade to deluxe room in low season. food ok ”
good Location and friendly staff , free upgrade to deluxe room in low season. thank you boss. food ok. undersea no fish, lang tegah D'coconut facilities better than here.
Rustic but the rooms are a bit tatty ”
People rave about Tioman, but Pulau Besar holds its own. There are three resorts built along the unspoilt coastline which has stunning views, but the sandflies were vicious. I am covered with nasty bites that are worse that the usual mosquito bites. The people are lovely all round. On our final night we went to the Mirage resort for dinner. The resort does not take credit cards and we had no cash. But the proprietor let us eat for free, with a loose arrangement to meet up the following day in Mersing to pay him. Amazig! We had the most romantic dinner on the beach - just two of us.
Friendly staff at Lobby”
Snorkel is 80/person , they will bring you to 3 island , pulang tengah , pulau hujung and pulau rawa depends on the weather and also if u find jellyfish , you can ask to avoid some of the location. All of the snorkel staff are well trained with swimming and life saving skills , they can swim real fast to bring back you to the boat. Boat cost 120/person/return. Advise to bring snacks and food , so you wont get hungry even you don't like the provided meal (keep it clean , save the environment) Lobby staff very friendly , but operating from 10-6PM only i guess. Meal kitchen staff , i can see until 11PM. Coke cost RM7 inclusive of GST. There is a small swimming pool infront of the hotel. Cons: one of the room water heater doesn't work. room door hard to close need to force. Everything else is good for me. 8/10 for my point of view.
Hari Raya Holiday Trip”
It's a peacfull place for entertainement with my 6 friends. 1 Room 3 person. Nice rooms, Beautifull Surrounding with Jungle trip and Sea... We swimmed at the sea with the help of Life jacket, googles and oxygen tube. We played volleyball with Resort staffs. we drunk coconut water. Especially Breakfast, Dinner and Lunch is superb, it's common and tasty food for chinese, indians, europeans, malay etc... Overall it's nice trip in my carrer.
Lovely staying at a beautiful location, kind staff”
We had 4 nights at this resort and we could go exploring the island and beautiful beaches together with the boy of the staff of the resort; the food was limited as variety offered, but this was reasonable, because this is really a desert island and the resorst people travel back and foth to the continental side twice a day in order to bring fresh food on the island. Not all staff member speak English currently, but their efforts to comunicate with you anyway and to satisfy your wishes are very appreciable. This is not the best island to have snorkeling, but very relaxing and quite and you can also go for a day trip from the island to other near islands for it. The worst thing were moasquitos and the bungalow bathroom which shows years and small ants going around.
nice place but the services are disappointed us”
Nice place, clear & nice sea, went to D'coconut during Hari Raya, expecting will have some water sport like snorkeling, but was told by the resort no staff escort us because they went back hometown for holiday, this is the main point that disappointed us. second day, resort arranged jungle trekking for about 16-17 persons, was told by the tour guide that the whole trip only cost us 2hrs, but end up we spent 5hrs back to resort, due to there is no clear instruction given by him, also, myself got injury & dehydration. suggest to look for your personal guide if you want to go this island instead of use their resort's staff. overall, disappointed for this whole trip even though that's a really nice beach.
Beautiful house, great eating but ”
We had fleas in our bed and after a week we still were scratching. Eating in the resort was cheap (which is important because you can not leave the island or buy something) and tasted great. One of the best we've had in Malaysia. The island itself is small and there is nothing to do. If you want rest, you'll find it on a beautiful beach
OK, but could do much better”
The resort seems to be going to seed a bit. The pool gradually went greener during our stay and then was closed off. There often wasn't our first choices in food or drink available, and the staff were a bit lack-lustre. Our shower room was basic to say the least, and the towels threadbare. The Aseana next door is the far superior choice, which we would have gone to instead had we known. Having said that, D'Coconut is good value for money and friendly enough. It is situated in gorgeous surroundings, plus they do a nice breakfast buffet.
Beach holiday with excellence services . ”
It is a wonderful place if you want a relaxing holiday . Near to white sandy beach with crystal clear water. Services are very good . Food are good with reasonable price . I like the snorkeling and jungle trekking . The island is accessible by boat only . Overall it is a goof holiday .
If you are looking for something affordable and value for money you may choose this resort. Theres only 2 good resort in pulau besar.
Great place to stay”
We stayed 8 nights here with 3 small children. The room was pretty large (could had been a litte better standard). The beach is just a few meters away with blue nice water. The island was also very nice. Only problem we had was that we booked with breakfast, so the rest of the meals was harder to choose from other places since all hotels used all-inclusive, so there was no other places to eat then pay the buffe at the hotel. Apart from that the hotel was good and the island was amazing
