Nice stay in Pulau Lang Tengah. ”
A quiet place, in a wonderful spot, with a dedicated and friendly staff. The food is surprisingly good for an island touristic hotel. The maintenance and cleanliness of the whole site and rooms could be better, but it is OK for a beach isolated hotel. Compared to the main beach (the other resorts), the spot is not excellent to swim near the beach because of the dead coral pieces that are everywhere (like a carpet under the sea). It is impossible to walk without shoes. The hotel could do an effort to enable customers to enjoy the sea front as much as the two charming swimming pool.

Traumatized from heater explosion”
My wife and me booked this because of the ambience photos. In our first sight it was a decent treat to eyes. Not very crowded. Food was good. Rooms were average as well as AC did not cool. We didn't know what was awaiting for us in next few hours. First day, shower pipe leaking water and needed to ask them to fix as the pipe went off later splashing water everywhere. Ofcourse everyone wouldn't face this (as hotel excused) but if these are well attained no one would face this. We came for vacation not to experience what is not working in hotel. The repair guy fixed the shower in the evening and said not to use it for 10mins and we didnt use it until next day. But second day was even more horrible and a life threatening experience. My wife went to bathroom for shower and switched on the heater. In almost few seconds after she went in the heater exploded. Yes, you read it right! The heater actually exploded with big BOOM sound and I rushed to open the door as my wife came out trembling and shouting with scare. I wish could share the photos here. Everything in bathroom was shattered, the heater panel, was on floor. Lights from roof hanging down. Wife's finger got a cut and shoulder bruised. We called the help desk. They gave pain spray and helped in switching the room and told sorry - thats it. We had to stay one more day and we didnt use heater at all. Would you go to a hotel to experience this? They helped in getting another room but at what cost. What if I would have lost my wife due to ill-maintenance by hotel authorities? Hotel authority later defended themselves telling why it happened they dnt know as never happened and fuse didn't blew off due to short circuit. I mean seriously do you know what it means? You don't have a professional hired for the job. To hotel authority - "Justintimefurnace" website explains why water heater explodes - go check. I would not recommend anyone to visit this place. To Agoda - please investigate this property's facilities properly

Weekend Getaway”
D'Coconut Lagoon is a great place for a weekend holiday or extended stay. It's located right on the beach. The staff were a delight and they helped us with keeping our planned activities in order. Would definitely recomend this place to friends and anyone else looking to visit Lang Tengah.

Great hotel”
This is a fantastic hotel. It is well run by a professional and friendly team, the location is second to none with the most gorgeous view of white sand and blue ocean, and the hotel pool and beach bar are really nice. I stayed at the Sari Pacific Lang Tangah, before deciding to give D'Coconut a go - and if you have to choose between the two I would definitely pick D'Coconut because it is a lot cleaner and the facilities are a lot nicer. We stayed in the Western wing of the resort, which is where the main restaurant, beach bar and bungalows are. The Eastern side is a bit quieter, and the dive school is located here. You can easily walk from the Western to the Eastern side in about 5 minutes. I would definitely stay here again.

Best resort in Lang Tengah”
It is the best resort of the whole lot at Lang Tengah, which is also due to the fact that there isn't really many good choices. The manager was very helpful in facilitating our stay and also booking our bus tickets on land. The beach and sea water quality in front of D'coconut's West Wing was also better compared to the more expensive Sari Pacifica. The only snag there is that D'coconut has very few sun decks, and they were all dominated by Swedish guests who reserve them by putting their towels and disappearing for hours. I think the management should do something about this. We admittedly booked the better rooms in the West Wing, so we had relatively few problems but our neighbours upstairs had no water at some point. If you are a lone female guest or even if you are 2 female guests without male companions, beware of the 'tour guides', be especially aware of this be-spectacled Malay guy who does the night 'blue sand' tours and the day-time snorkelling tours if you have a daughter or soemthing. This is nothing new in Bali's Kuta (watch this documentary called Bali cowboys) where the boys go for caucasian ladies. But in those cases the caucasian ladies like them. Not in our case though. This aspect of the resort I feel really tarnished our holiday experience. We want to be left alone as normal resort guests. We would rather they respect us as resort guests and only provide the services we pay for.

D'Coconut Lang Tenga”
We loved the fact that Lang Tengaah was a small intimate island and that D'Coconut was small enough to be intimate enough but large enough to provide all necessary amenities and good service. Sunny Boy at the bar was a great cocktail master and he was happy to play our music which made us feel at home. I was reluctant to go swimming in the sea because i was bitten by the fish several times.I liked that there was 2 areas to swim.

Very relaxing and good dive center”
Our stay was very relaxing. Maybe for my Kids (12 and 15 at the time) too quiet. But I enjoyed it very much. The staff, especially the staff from the dive center, were very nice, friendly and helpful. The only negative part concerning the dive center is, that it is a bit away from the wing that we stayed in. Approx. 5-10 minutes by foot through the jungle to the other wing. Also after arriving at the resort it turns out that due to a group of 30 discovery dive students from Kuala Lumpur, it was not possible for me to have three dives per day, as they were fully occupied with the discovery divers. That was very frustrating. So Inly had two dives per day, but they were very nice, even though I found that the sites on Redang, Perhentian and Tioman are mostly nices, as the coast guard does not seem to care about Lang Tengah, as it is too small. So the fisherboats basically can do what they want and thereby destroy many parts of the reef. This attitude makes me very sad, especially considering that this is the capital of the region, but some people just do not seem to care and are very short sighted. Another downside of the resort ist that there is no convenience store where one could buy small necessities like mosquito coils or room spray against mosquitos, because we were being plagued by moasquitos. But after mentioning this to the Manager, she immediately organized something to be brought to our room against mosquitos. So this worked. All in all our stay was very relaxing and the quality of the resort was very good, compared to other resorts that I have visited in Malaysia.

A few days in paradise..”
The location of D'Coconut is hard to beat - on a tropical island surrounded by very accessible reef. I spent all 3 days snorkeling, and saw huge numbers of fish and coral - it really is a tropical paradise. The resort is surrounded by beautiful jungle, the pool is lovely, and the resort itself well-maintained and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was good (although I ate local dishes so can't really speak for the Western style food). It is not a super luxury resort but if you want a few days in paradise with a comfortable bed to relax on and a nice little balcony overlooking the sea and pool complex, this is for you. I definitely want to go back again.

Nice place but overpriced”
D'C is split over 2 areas – the West Wing is 3 min/300m walk over a low saddle (slope will only worry the VERY unfit) from East Wing. Each has a beach, pool & restaurant – there is not much difference except the East Wing had wifi (patchy reception) in its restaurant, a better breakfast & inferior pool/beach. Snorkeling off both was pretty average although the snorkeling trip accessed good stuff. Our Executive Deluxe room above the West Wing restaurant had nice pool & beach/sea views. It was clean, spacious, had quite aircon, a comfy king bed plus a single & a divan, a jug but no tv. Lights were ok & there was plenty of storage. No bottled water was supplied. The spacious bathroom had good hot water & a tub. Food was expensive compared to similar places in the Perhentians. Like them the place seemed to be suffering from end of season run-down even though early/mid Sept is a long way from Oct– many menu items were not available. The inclusive buffet was similarly limited – we had no fruit over 3 days – but it was possible to fill up on pretty tasty food. Another problem of visiting when there are few guests is that we came out in the hotel’s small outboard boat rather than its bigger cruiser– the sea breeze had kicked in on this day making the 45 minute trip bumpy & wet. D'C is located on the island’s south west. Less than a minute further west is a longer one dominated by the more budget Lang Resort. A short jungle walk from Lang's western end accesses Long Beach where Sari Pacifica & the popular Summer Bay are located. This beach was whiter and wider & had quiet good snorkelling at the west end including the interesting blue coral. D'C's biggest contention was value - $us135 for a nice but essentially lower-midrange room, expensive food with limited choice and an uncomfortable transfer is not balanced by the gorgeous location & exceptionally nice staff. The price is maybe 3 times that paid at similar standard Perhentian resorts.

Overrated hotel.”
I spent 2 nights in this hotel. I arrived one day later that I was supposed to and the management allowed me to push mu package one day further. That was really really nice of them and I didn't expect this. The personel is really nice and friendly and I liked all of them. It is a very quite place. At night there are few visitors to the bar so you can meet some people. The beach is clean and they look after it, cleaning the leaves:) But the food is just terrible! Malaysian standards are very high and all malaysians are very proud of their food culture. But on small islands like this everything is delivered from the mainland. If you are used to canned, pasterized and unhealthy fatty food you might like it. If you prefer eating healthy take some food with you:) Absolutely nothing to eat. For breakfast the variety is 5-6 dishes but mostly oily and not looking fresh. For dinner also oily and not tasty food. There was only one salad that was fresh. They don't have fruits. i was craving for fruits and they said they have only 1 watermelon so they cut for me for 15rm i got few pieces on the plate:) If you are going there I suggest you bring your own fruits and veggies and wine (if you like) - the room got the fridge where you can keep it safe from ants and all other creatures. Overall I enjoyed the stay. I may say it is very boring. Usually there are different offers of excursions and packages for visitors - but not in Malaysia. you need to figure out what to do yourself. If you enjoy doing nothing, not exploring and may be just reading books than you will like it. No wifi. 3g connection is very poor. the sea is amazing. I went to another resort to check it out. their dinner buffet is more expensive (55rm) but a bit better. They have beautiful sunsets so you can check it out. The beach is wider but full of dead corals and the see is full of sea cucumbers and small fish. I prefer to swim in clear waters and sun tan on a white sandy beach so in this terms I find D'coconut La

Best family holiday every1”
Our stay was amazing! I booked two rooms for a family holiday with my siblings (all in our late 20s) and parents. We had such a great time here. It was super value for money, the island is simply divine, there is plenty to do if you want that, also plenty of comfy spots to chill out and relax as well. We all had so much fun. The restaurant serves pretty standard food - don't expect anything amazing, but it certainly serves its purpose; the bar is well stoked and doesn't get noisy, but is still a lot of fun. The staff are incredible - super friendly, and they made a big deal of my birthday which is always nice. I would (and have) highly recommended this to anyone - best family holiday we've ever had!

Fantastic little hotel in a great location ”
From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel welcome. Simple things like giving us their names and a person to contact directly if we needed anything. Hotel is as pictured. The views and proximity to the sea and beach are as well. Maybe because it was off season and our was the only hotel open we had deserted beaches with virgin untouched (no footprints) sand. Maybe a little less so when the other 3 hotels open up.

Very good”
Hotel view awesome!!reception so so,i have to wait for my room to be ready just because im booking last minute. This hotel has 2 different area called east wing and west wing..most of the room situated at the west wing but the reception counter situated at the east wing so u have to walk along the jungle about 6minutes when u want to check in n out because all the boat will sent and pick u up on the east wing. Luckly the room and toilet is clean.the food, either u order ala carte or buffets taste good and all the staff is very friendly, understanding and helping a lot. If u like a peace and relaxing hotel, this is an ideal hotel. They do not have alot of entertaiment.U can see the seeview from your room.hotel serounding also clean.
