Dangerous for solo women traveler”

First I would say their staff such as housekeepers and the boy who’s taking care on the boat was really good but dive guide and boat diver made me feel unsafe and insecure there. I decided to sent e-mail to hotel manager when I arrived Jakarta because I really feared and felt unsecured when I was in Lembeh. I think they should know that to improve their service. First The dive guild. I felt not comfortable when I drove with him. I’m not sure I using correctly English word or not. But I feel he did a kind like harassment to me. When he would like to talk with me he try to move his face come closer my face. Sometimes he touch my body like by coincidence. That’s made me uncomfortable but I came here for diving. I try to not think too much about this things to keep this trip more happy. But one things that I can’t accepted about him because he left me alone under water with a high current and low visibility. I told them before that I’m a beginner and just 11 dives experience. The thing happened on my dive number nine from ten dive. I and other guest would like to see the Hairy Frogfish. Then we telled the dive lead If he can find its we will give him the Tips. When he go down under water he really seriously find it out. At that site it has high current and low visibility. I think only one meter. He swim very fast. In the End I loose him and I need to find the way to come up safely by myself. I known that I come for traveling not for studying. But I already loose the confident on their dive guide. As I told them before I’m a beginner diving it really hardest situation I facing. Second about Boat driver. I came here for diving. I’m pretty sure that I never do anything to give him some hope about man and woman relationship. Firstly He would like to contact me on Facebook because he would like to get the picture that I took on the boat. Since Saturday night he send me massages he would like to me messages that he like to talk with me only he and me. He s

Great budget”

Back to basics accommodation. No wifi, no air con, no hot water. Absolutely loved leaving the world behind and getting into some amazing muck diving. Contact the resort for transfer arrangements from manado, it's so much easier. Buffet style meals that taste fantastic. Just really lovely and relaxing.

A place to relax and diving (mostly black sand)”

Daniels Resort is really nice and if i had more time i would defenitly stay longer there. A small resort, located far a away from any city noises, 3 meals a day and good service (if you stay longer there, the staff will buy for stuff from the mainland for you). You can just stay there and enjoy the time in the hammock, walk to the nearby mangrove or go for a dive. Since the resort mainly is for diver the charge for non divers is higher. I would recommend a long stay for divers and for non divers it is a great possibility to relax (apart from nature not much is there to do, but i guess if you go there you are aware of that)

Muck diving”

So Natasha is wonderful! In her mid-20s she essentially runs the joint, and thank goodness, given her perfect English (and Bahasa Indonesia, Japanese etc). She is very amicable, and wonderfully accommodating, which really gave my stay a personal touch. The food was delicious, the accommodation great - and far more comfortable that what I had been subjected to in remote Raja Ampat - and above all it was a very pretty location. I would say, though, there is not a great deal to do if you are not diving, eating or relaxing in the hammocks! My one complaint, however, would be the way that Daniel handled my onward taxi transfer. Getting off the boat from the resort, to Bitung, he cancelled my taxi, for his own sister company (who were both present and correct to greet me). This sister taxi company was slightly more expensive, but of more concern was the erratic driving, dirty vehicle and the fact it was shared with the taxi-man and family. It made for a very smelly and uncomfortable experience, and one neither myself, nor the other traveller I shared with, would want to repeat. This was initially an innocent mix up with communication, but given the heated discussions with Daniel and my other taxi man, he ended up leaving, temporarily stranding myself and the other Chinese girl in Bitung. However, as with everything in Indonesia, solutions are just round the corner, and we hired another vehicle pronto. But back to Natasha, we got to Manado eventually, and met her there to finalise payments (note - bring cash in advance to pay, do not rely on credit card), and she was very apologetic re the taxi incident, even though it was not her fault. Then her brother kindly transported us, to our hotel, which they definitely did not need to. So in conclusion, I would definitely recommend the place, all staff are lovely, and particularly Natasha. I am seriously considering going back with my friend, for more fantastic diving in the near future.
