Nice & affordable hotel”
Nice & spacious room, perfect location in the middle of village, affordable price.you can rent a bike from the hotel to see village surrounding.. Breakfast menu is a choice of appetizer like fruits & main course..very limited options but i dont mind..the taste is also great with a view of their lotus pond
Dear Ms. Regina, Greetings from sunny side of Yogyakarta! Thank you for choosing d'Omah as your accommodation during your stay in Yogyakarta. We are glad that you liked and enjoyed your stay with us. We look forward to welcoming you home again! Regards, d'Omah Village Resort Management
What a Discovery of a Place!”
We chose to stay in D'Omah Yogya on the last night of our trip. We almost could not bear to leave. The grounds of the hotel is rustic gorgeous, like a manor in a Kampung. The room we stayed in used to be the main house previously occupied by the owner, who still maintains a home somewhere within the compound. Our large en-suite bathroom leads to an inner courtyard where the pool is. I love the main hall of this large house which looks out to the garden with a large lotus pond and beyond that a small pavilion building which houses the hotel bar and another pavilion, a gym with sleek equipment. The food at the hotel restaurant is as gorgeous as the ambience and decor. We have breakfast, a quick lunch and a dinner with grilled (or called Bakar in Bahasa) duck and fish. Simply heavenly. We have such a good time here, many thanks to the wonderful and attentive staff who are omnipresent in taking care of your needs and yet you feel the great privacy accorded here at this abode....
Dear Mr. Jarvis, Greetings from Tembi Village! Thank you for writing us such a lovely review. it really means the world to us. We are happy knowing that you enjoyed your stay at d'Omah. Our property is indeed a sample of an authentic Javanese lifestyle with all its charms and sincerity. We really hope to see you again in the future and really can't wait to welcoming you here at d'Omah! Warmest Regards, d'Omah Yogya Hotel.
Nice environment ”
Friendly staff , nice authentic Indo dinner but gym no function , sofa dusty at our pool villa , lots of ants at the pool resting area . Need to do some maintanance . Overall is a great place with family and beautiful padi sunrise
Dear Mr/s. Chiow, HWe're glad that you enjoyed your stay with us! Please do let us know should you ever feeling nostalgic and want to go back to visit Yogyakarta again. Regarding the Gym no function, dusty sofa and ants, we put the in our serious account. We apologise about that. Warmest Regards, d'Omah Yogya Hotel Management
A great stay”
Very nice villa with helpful staff, we enjoyed our stay very much. However, would like to suggest that you remove the buddha statue that's facing the toilet (2 rooms villa). I found it offending and is a disrespect to Buddha. Hope you can look into it.
Dear Ms. Ching, Thank you for taking your time to write about our humble accommodation, d'Omah. There's no best feeling in the world rather than knowing that your guests were happy, content, and enjoyed the stay. Regarding the Buddha statue, we do really appreciate your suggestion, and it will be our concern. We really hope to see you again in the future. Our 4 nights in a 3 bedroom villa was amazing. the staff was really polite and lovely, our rooms were clean and huge and we loved staying there. also the food (international/national) is gread. the hotel os a bit outside of town but it is totally worth it.
Experience a local living with blend of nature!”
D'Omah provides five star facility yet in the middle of Tembi 'tourism' Village. You can explore the village, meet very friendly villager, go to rice field (sawah), playing around, and also ride horse carriage exploring the village. The hotel also has several pools, very unique rooms, spacious and blending to nature. Recommeded!
Lovely setting, wonderful staff”
Wonderful setting. Beautiful buildings and interesting decor. We arrived several hours before check in time, but were offered a temporary room for a (much needed) nap for free. Food was great. Only minor drawback was the rooms were a tad musty, probably hard to avoid in this climate. Will come back, thank you!
Lovely village retreat”
Beautifully restored retreat with charming artistic touches in a tranquil village setting. Like it that location is away from the hustle and bustle of centre of Jogja but only a short drive to town if needed for the touristic areas. Friendly and helpful staff. Working wifi. Big beds and rooms. Good mix of Asian/ Western choices for breakfast/ room service. And not for those who may be affected by prayers from the 2 mosques nearby.
Javanese Traditional Village Experience”
This hotel offers Javanese traditional village experience. It has a unique theme that blend well with the village around it. The guest rooms are spread into some traditional houses that located near each other, in between the houses there are hotel facilities like open living room that we can use to laze out during the day, beautiful gardens, gym, spa and there is a swimming pool for almost every house, which I think it's great. The restaurant located in front of the hotel allow us to see the paddy field across village street and villagers activities as there's only potted plants that separate the restaurant with the quiet village street. The staffs are very friendly and helpful, they always smile and greet every time we passed them. We love to stay at the hotel, even we have to reduced our activities outside during our holiday just to have more time to spend at this hotel area. The only down side during our stay were the Wifi connection in our room wasn't as fast as in the restaurant and the toiletries used there are very standard, I think it would be better if they use Javanese traditional fragrance or organic toiletries. btw, my wife loved the organic insect repellent beside the swimming pool.
Quiet and beautiful boutique hotel”
Beautiful Javanese hotel on the outskirts of the city. Pool, restaurant, massage, lots of quiet spaces if you want to read or take a nap. Hotel is situated in a small village and you can go for a walk and see local life and rice fields. Staff is uber friendly and will do their best to make you happy. One thing I didn't like though : we were charge (a lot) for airport pickup. I expect free pickup from a hotel in such category. And no mention of fee was ever made when pickup was arranged.
great place great feelings”
-First impression is very good -Staff friendliness/communication is very smooth/professional -Hotel ambient is superb (Dutch/Javanese blends in so well) -Location is great for going all main sight-seeings e.g. Borobudur, Prambanan, Mount Merapi, City Center, etc. -Small corrections to make then this hotel will be one of the best we ever stayed e.g. quality of the bicycles, air-conditioning in the room
unique hotel in tranquil environment”
Our experience in staying at the D'Omah was very pleasant and relaxing. The room and bathroom were very spacious and clean, designed in Javanese style. We were served simple afternoon tea in of the rooms available and felt so relaxed. Breakfast served was also good, with the view of rice field. The location may be far away from the city, but it is what we expected.
It was a fantastic boutique place to stay. Very relaxing, fantastic decorations in the rooms and the staff are very very attentive. Very good attention to detail throughout the hotel. Will stay there again in a heartbeat.
nice, well design and setting building, natural ”
This hotel have a several building and facilities. New hotel building, I think was build on the same site with the original house before change to become hotel. That is why overall hotel setting area is nice and harmony, original Java kampung. Swimming pool remind me to original pool in kampung, not using blue ceramics. Some sharp wall in swimming pool need attention from the management.
Really nice hotel, wish I had stayed more than one night. Only issues to keep in mind, The mosque is close so you will wake early and there are mosquitoes. But there are ear plugs and bug spray provided in the room. I will defiantly stay here again
This interior of this hotel is so beautifully done, sprawling and well spaced rooms. An overall lovely ambience. The calm and relaxed atmosphere is a bonus for those who wish for a relaxing stay. The staff are very pleasant, kind and helpful. Not many food areas nearby but the hotel serves good food and reasonably priced.
Relaxing, fun and exciting ”
I love this hotel. It is rich in history and the design is one of a kind with each room designed with specific characteristics from old Java. The atmosphere is tranquil and relaxing with walks around the village and paddy field, local artisans. It makes you feel truly living in a village. The choices of food is excellent and supported by excellent service and attentive staffs. Despite its location, it is not so far from Yogyakarta for more choices of restaurants and other activities and also from the Parangtritis beach for a view of the sunset by the beach.
Weekend getaway place to get yourself recharged”
We went there without any expectation except that I need stress-reliever from office. The place is even better than picture. It's very traditional and yet clean and sleek. Everything has been put in place with careful consideration until the very small thing. Prior to arrival, they said we got camat green room. When we arrived (early check in), they gave us Rumah Joglo. We didn't like it because it’s too close to reception area and they gave us Camat Orange Room instead. They are accomodative like that. My partner had birthday and they prepared a special Indonesian dish called Nasi Tumpeng. Super lovely. We were thrilled. Their restaurant, although choices are not too many, has good food. Their Ikan Kuning is delicious. Breakfast is not a buffet but I don’t mind, all choices are good and delicious. We love how D’Omah located in the middle of village without high walls and all that but really integrated with its surrounding. We were surpised knowing number of small medium enterpreneur growing in the village due to its establishment. We walked and bike around and the surrounding is simply lovely. We talked to neighbours, buy batik and food and craft. A person from the village accompany us bike to Immogiri in one Sunday simply because he want to. I took massage after that 25 km bike and it was so nice. If you’re thinking to visit places in Yogya city, D’omah is not actually close by. However, get a taxi is easy. We still able to go to Borobudur and did Yogya City Trip though. If you want to espace a busy day in the city – even if it’s only for a night or two – this is the right place. We both fall in love with the place
Lovely javanese experience”
The traditional rustic Javanese mansion with beautiful huge garden and pools complete with the eclectic & traditional details. Located at the cultural Tembi village where we could find some art workshops and gallery. The over-the-paddy-field lobby is always playing the traditional Javanese songs in bossanova version and burning the lavender incense all day. The guest can also borrow some books and DVD from their library for free . We totally love the experience.
Fantastic boutique hotel with marvelous service”
We have had a wonderful stay in d'omah and would like to thank the staff for doing so much efforts to please our needs. Location is fantastic, just an easy taxi ride of 15 min. from downtown Jogjakarta. Rooms are all different but lovely decorated. Good maintained garden, restaurant, gym and pools. Yes there is the prayer of the mosque but that didn't spoil our time here. The only positive feedback we could give you is; The free breakfast options (spec. for people staying longer then 2 nights in your hotel) could be more extensive. Some more choice please. Also the breakfast box given away to guests instead of the breakfast is a bit poor. In the bathroom our taps and shower was calcified and could use a little better cleaning and some towels provided were too old. But we were 100% satisfied and would love to return again.
