Many problems, staff unable to help”
First the pros: Cute, stylish bungalows. Nice mountain views. One extremely friendly cat. Now the cons: Water heater did not work properly! Pai was very cold when we visited in December, yet the water heater provided lukewarm water at best. For this price (1200 Baht), this is unacceptable! Notified staff, but they were unable to do anything about it. Bedding also not warm enough for the cold weather. Asked staff for additional blanket, but unable to provide. Despite the remote mountain location, very noisy at night, due to the restaurant next door which blasts karaoke music until late at night. Dogs barking late at night, too. Chicken pooped all over our entryway and staff did not clean it up between day 1 and day 2 of our stay. Language barrier made it difficult to communicate with staff.
For a daily walk it is a bit far from the centre therefore getting a car or a motorbike is better. Bungalows are quite good, spacious and well designed with a real king size comfortable bed. Staff is friendly and the price in the low season is quite correct
Relaxing bungalows nice garden view”
Two nights stay here with family, We book 5 rooms here. It's a little far from city center around 1.5 km, But we are ok since have car rental ourself. Everything is good to us. Only the shower temperature is low, due to the weather is cold around 10 degree outside. I think this is common issue in Pai if you use electric water heater. My suggestion is try to lower the water out, you will got higher temperature shower.
The room was spacious with many useful furniture. The bathroom needs some TLC, it looks nasty. The room had lots of windows and lighting. My only real problem was finding two roachs right at the entrance and then later after buying some spray in town we found one more.
Great luxurious bungalows for a not to pricey tag”
Great bungalows with everything you need, amazing view over the forests. Only concern would be the guard dogs that you had to pass every night, it was at least 10 dogs barking at us and chaised us. Quite funny though
First of all I wanna say that the staff r extremely friendly and helpful, even though not all of them speak English but there wasn't a problem communicating. Also the room was really clean, no dust nor insects, the shower was pretty decent too. Location wise, some may say it's not that convenient since its on a mountain but the view was abolutely amazing! I'd totally go back if I visit Pai again and definitely recommend to my family and friends if they're going to Pai.
Luxurious, really good value, amazing staff”
The huts are simple but beautifully done with polished cement floors and stones on the bathroom floor. Each has a small terrace and a view of the garden. We were the only ones there so was quiet and romantic. Fireplace in the garden. staff really really helpful and lovely. The town is about a ten minute walk away and the resort is as the top of a pretty steep (but short) hill. Get a motorbike/scooter, the staff sorted one out for us and it was really cheap and they organised delivery and collection and no deposit! We were surprised how quiet this resort was when it was such a nice place to stay.
TV did not work, air-conditioning did not work properly, paint peeling off walls....
Thanks for staying with us. We appreciate your feedback
staff, little English speaking but are very nice people!!!!
quiet, peaceful with beautiful views”
Just not worth it”
Payed a little more for this place than a few other options in Pai. Turned out to be a huge waste of money. Incredibly unhelpful and unfriendly staff, a very dusty room on arrival and the shower was cold. Definitely not worth the money considering other options that are available.
If you want peace and quiet - great spot ”
This spot is a little out of the town which means 5 minutes by scooter, 20 minute walk at a pace. If you want quiet, got for it. If you want the hustle and bustle of Pai's downtown core (I say this with my tongue firmly planted In my cheek), find another location. This is a tranquil spot. The price is decent if you're sharing, a little pricey going solo. There were decent rooms for half the price in the town. The bungalows are nice, simple and well kept. They are basic, and have a minimalist vibe. The bed was comfortable, a big plus for me. The breakfast is lacking. If there's a cheaper option without, forgoe it and spent pocket change on the day's most important meal in town. You'll want to rent a bike to access this place. They go for about 200 baht per day for one in good shape. Very reasonable.
Hotel California at Pai”
Bad Attitude every way, Poor Breakfast without any option, quality, and quantity, no English ability almostly Our family used to travel abroad twice yearly, we always did this activity on our own. D2 Pai Resort surely is the worst one we ever experienced with. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G-L-Y .... WORST!
I was injured and hand was cut serous on March 7,2014 by a big door glass in D2. I would like to propse that D2 should replace 1. all noemal door glass by safety glass and 2 make marks on door glass in oeder to make people attention.
Nice bungalows with friendly staff and great view”
Bungalow style hotel with a nice mountain view less than 2 km from downtown Pai. Staff was very friendly and went out of there way to mail some souvenirs I bought during my stay for me (post office was closed for New Years and didn't have room in my luggage). It's geared for Thais, breakfast is only a rice and pork soup, and it may be harder for non-Thai speakers to communicate with the friendly staff. The water heater in my bungalow was rather weak, leading to some chilly showers.
