A couple from Lithuania”
We find the hotel very good as for 4 star. The room was very good, well equipped, sea view. The food in the restaurant was good, enough options to choose from Indian to European food. The views and infinity views are very good. We recommend this hotel half board.
Awesome Resort, best location in Flic and Flac! ”
Our room had a clear view of the blue sea! Waking up to the sound of the water was therapeutic to say the least. The resort has a nice infinity pool and more importantly, lovely sea view rooms. The food served was world class and staff were very courteous. I would highly recommend Anelia to all !
Excellent Quiet Place - Paradise!”
Thank you to all the staff of Anelia - we had the most wonderful stay. Would like to suggest they have an ATM on the premises to withdraw cash to tip the staff.
The service was really poor from check in right through to the staff. Quite clearly all in dire need of training. Our room was dirty. Had to request additional towels more than once before receiving them. No sleep for 3 night as people in room 315 were fighting screaming shouting and bashing things around til 0200 in the morning. Food was really poor for an island destination and we supposedly paid 20% of the cost as a special. Well if we had paid full amount we would definitely be requesting a full refund
Location is fantastic, Friendly dtaff en good facilities,
Bad management ”
Thé hôtel itself was ok but I have experienced the worse management ever in a hotel. We had to change room 3 time because of aircon issues and with limited help and customer service. In these instance you would upgrade the clients and we even got a worse room .... each time we were told that management would talk to us and it only happened 48 jours later when we decided to leave as we were not happy at all. At that point we were given an upgrade but it was simply too late. We agreed reimbursement of the last nights and even then I had to battle it upon my return as he manager has not done what was promised ..... this was the worse experience I ever in a hotel and I travel 30%of my time.
Very disappointed with the hotel, doesn't deserve the review rating or star rating”
We checked into Aneila on the 1st of October 2017. The entrance of the hotel itself was disappointing. Paint stains on the tiles and a dirty welcome carpet and waiting area was dusty and musty smelling. We had booked 3 rooms as a family and were informed one day prior that we couldn't get rooms together as the resort was full. We had made the reservation for the rooms more than a month prior so I fail to understand why they couldn't account for us. We also had booked beach facing rooms but were given rooms that overlooked the garden. I don't normally write negative reviews because there is always a saving grace to the hotel but except for the location and the enclosed beach honestly everything else was disappointing and thats putting it politely. One of the bathrooms had dirty water from all the other bathrooms flooding into it. The towels were very suspect, on two occasions there were" brown "stains on the supposedly clean towels. The rooms were cleaned in a very perfunctory manner and never really clean. The breakfast buffet had items that were always empty and there was one line cook making eggs and many times there were upto 20 people or more waiting for eggs. We were also refused service from certain staff when we wanted to order a drink as she was more interested in whether we are HB or FB and when we told her we would sign against the room it was as though we were asking her to fly us to the moon. When we spoke to the Manger/ Director he asked us why we didn't mention this earlier and was more concerned with the staff then the issues of flooding and dirty towels etc. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Very disappointing and awful and a sad way to end our holiday
Overall Good Experience , some improvement on food selection”
Everything was good , we were expecting some more options in breakfast . Room were cleaned , staff were good. Sometimes we were running out of food during dinner time, ofcourse lot of guests were there . One suggestion I can give to resort is if they can have album in room of all facilities they provide like spa and tour travels , as for everything we had to go to reception .
nice cozy hotel”
This hotel is located at Flic en Flac, a quite and cozy town. If you not fancy bout nightlife, clubbing..etc, this will be a good choice to consider. Lots of restaurants, eating places further down the coastal road (3 to 5min drive), facing the public beach and a supermarket (2 to 3min drive). The hotel is clean, friendly and helpful staffs. Breakfast is pretty standard, we didn't eat in for lunch & dinner. Theres a boat house next to the hotel lobby, you can do kayaking, take a glass bottom boat tour, snorkeling, swim with dolphin trip and diving. Glass bottom boat tour is free, but need to pre book 1 day in advance with the boat house, and its only on mon, wed and sat.
Stay at Anelia Resort”
Anelia Resort is very good in terms of its location, facilities, its services and economical. Its location is perfect. I would also like to mention good cooperation of the staff and in particular Reservation Manager Ms Anuradha.
An ok hotel as far as food and amenities go. Check in is slow and painful - was asked to mail my reservation/payment confirmation twice and she eventually found the reservation?! Agoda states sea facing - got the last room at the back of the hotel far from everywhere and a tiny ocean view. Supervisor of front desk also doesn’t know the difference between sea facing and sea view however did change the room after I complained that this is not what I booked and paid for. Was only able to occupy my room one and a half hours after check in time despite the fact I arrived a couple of hours before 2pm. Food ok but wait staff very good. No beach or ocean swimming - pics misleading. Would not go back or recommend.
Consider the Cons and Cons and then decide ”
Hi I stayed solo(Yeah, Don't even start) for business purposes (LOL) for visa break form South Africa. The location is far away from Sri Seewasagoor Airport(duh), I don't mention it as a complaint. Just pointing out the obvious. Coming to the stay, for an alleged 4 star hotel they dont provide even tooth paste and brush( What's up with that? Anelia)... Even a basic 3* hotel provides such elementary items... That was a huge blow to my stay... Imagine walking around with not brushing(Yuck)... They don't provide water bottle, let me tell you this... Of all the weirdest things not provided this was the craziest of all... As a matter of fact the tap water is not consumable and they don't even provide water bottle... On an important note, Yes, I asked the hotel staff and they said no to both Tooth care items and water. This makes me wonder, What are the requirements for 4 star??? Odd!!!
staff is very friendly and welcoming, loved the environmemnt a lot
GREAT PLACE LOVELY
Beach is just over there! All water sports are fair priced! Bar is on the beach. Great place to chill and enjoy the ocean!
1 night Stay at Hotel Anelia”
1) Rooms were not ready on time, 2) I had shower at the Spa as I was unable to shower before the wedding 3) Spa did not have towels available. 4) On checkout I lodged a complaint, managers comment was this is life 5) I feel the hotel did not meet their obligations I would never recommend this place, and I was absolutely horrified by the managers attitude.
Upon arrival at Anelia, we were greeted with a glass of juice and very friendly staff. The resort was really beautiful, but unfortunately the cons were more than the pros and we ended up regretting booking a 7-night stay at this resort. The worst of it all was the BEDBUGS! Upon complaining about something that are biting me, they only responded with "we will send housekeeping", but the bites just got worse over the course of the 7 days. After numerous ointments and trips to the local pharmacy, the pharmacist confirmed it's bedbugs. The itching were driving me nuts and the mattresses on the beds are very hard and uncomfortable. So with lack of sleep on permanent itchiness, it was hard to enjoy our stay. The beach is not sand. It's made of crushed shells and you can't walk barefoot around there. There is no snorkeling spots and no access to swim in the sea. There is a lagoon, but it's so shallow, you cannot swim at all. The food was exactly the same - every day. There were Chinese dishes, Indian dishes and a few western dishes. You had the same style buffet every lunch and every dinner. For a resort on an island, the seafood was very minimal. The pastries and cakes were not sweet and the milk tastes like powder milk. After the first 3 days of the same tastes of curry and soy sauce, you really get fed up with the menu. The burger bar for lunch was nice, but you can also only eat so many burgers in a row before you are tired of that taste too. If you are on all-inclusive, the drink selection is very limited. We only had one sega show as entertainment and one night a girl sang for us, but that's about it. There were a wedding while we were there and the music from the wedding were disturbing our dining experience. The spa is very pricey. On rainy days, there were not much to do as the games room was very limited - the dart board is broken, the pool sticks are broken, the board games are missing pieces, etc. The staff was very friendly though. All-in-all, apart
I am sorry. I was unable to use any facilities, hence I cannot give a review.”
Unfortunately, on day one. I fell down in the dining room (backwards) and broke my wrist. As I ended up with my hand in plaster, plus physio, I had no way of exploring anything. Although I had to extend my stay, I stayed in the bedroom mostly.
The hotel do not have a wide beach as may looks from picture...
