This has been the best holiday that we have had in many years and we look forward to coming back again. Cambodia is a beautiful people and a peaceful country.

Functional place to stay”

I stayed here while attending the Ankor Wat Half Marathon and it was very handy as the race organizers based themselves here. It was easy to get transport into town. The hotel is on a busy street from the airport but you could not hear the traffic noise in the room. I asked for a non-smoking room and got a nice space which smelled nice (obviously it really was a non-smoking space). The staff were very helpful and cheerful. Free wi-fi was a bonus as I could Skype in my room or simply stay in touch. It was a short stay but certainly functional. The price was reasonable too.

We are very happy in staying as the hotel is very quite and the room is clean cum fully equiped, the house keepers and the Lobby staff is also very helpful and good, except we propose that the slipper in the room should be using the diaposal type.

city angkor”

large monlithic hotel with very little charm,not yery well located with a sense of lack of caring.used as a breakfast stop by tour groups ,poorly maintained swimming pool and had to fight to get coffee in rooms although there were cups and a kettle for some reason.

just the right hotel”

My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay here.From the airport by taxi took us only about 4 minutes, and the next day by tuk tuk to Angkor about 10 minutes. I tried to rent a bike but the government has disallowed foreigners from doing so due to many accidents. The hotel room is quite spacious, and very quiet . The only problem is the relatively long way to get to town. Since there are no nightspot around the hotel, we took a tuk tuk to town for dinner and shopping. I think the journey was about 15-20 minutes.

Average hotel”

Compared to Agoda classification 4 stars seems absolutely too much for this hotel. Angkor City is a good hotel but has obviously seen better times in the past. The hotel is too far away from the center of Siem Reap which makes it a little inconvenient to choose this hotel as starting point for city tours. Hotel staff is friendly and the overall performance is okay. Anyway our expectations on this hotel have been higher.

Great service, large hotel”

The service at this hotel was excellent. We needed help booking bus tickets for the next day, and because it was Sunday, places were closed to get them, but one man of the front desk (i wish i knew and got his name) went even further than to try to phone around to reserve tickets, but he phoned his friend who hooked us up with tickets, and even got the bus company to pick us up, even when the hotel was farther away than where the bus company usually picks people up. We also got pizza delivered to our room which another front desk agent helped us, by phoning and ordering for us, because of the language barrier. All in all, service was 5 stars, the room was clean, and the hotel staff made our stay very enjoyable.

Good for price”

Try and give the cleaners a tip on your departure - your loose rials will do – don’t over do it. They do a good job and probably get paid very little. Ask for Mith Chan outside the hotel, he is a good tuk tuk man.

Huge room”

City Angkor is convenient for a group tour, it is 10 minutes form the airport, 15 minutes from the famous Angkor Wat. A quiet type of a hotel.

City Ankor Hotel at Siem Reap”

Ankor City Hotel was a comfortable and well maintaned hotel and great value for the price. The distance from the town may be an issue for some but it was not a problem for me as transport is easily found outside. I was dissapointed that a free airport transfer did not exist (as advertised on website).

First Trip to Siem Reap”

This was our first trip – with my husband, mother in-law and my baby (one year old) and we didn’t plan for any ‘heavy’ visiting like other tour agents offers. So I’m very comfortable and relax! And I have no problem with hotel location and it was fun to take tuk tuk for our last day ‘shopping’ trip. Visit to the floating village of Chong Khneas, located 10 km south of Siem Reap. Visit the village and take a traditional wooden boat for a ride on the Tonle Sap, the great lake of Cambodia and the largest in Asia - Really Large!!!

Next time I'll stay here again!”

This hotel uses good and very expensive wood to make doors,door frames and furniture.

Book a taxi driver who speaks good English for your stay. Ask for Mr T at the airport.

Only short one overnight-stay, worth the money”

Refurbishing works did take place at the time of our stay, so hard to say if things will improve.
