Very steep roadways to reception and dining hall, Rooms very comfortable but could do with a little maintanance to bring them back to top class.

Awesome Staff and Superb hospitality ”
There was no intimation on hotel booking from Agoda to the GN Resort, I read this already about Agoda in a review but took my chance! But with the help of courteous GN Resort staff it was managed smoothly.

Pleasant stay at Golden Nest”
We have stayed in a Luxury Room on 1st Floor. Room is very spacious, neat and clean. King size bed is very comfortable. Views from our Balcony are excellent. You can sit at the Balcony and watch the nice surroundings endlessly. It's a very peaceful environment. It will take approx 10 mins to reach the Lake from the Resort. But please be warned of the steep ramp. We watched Sunrise from our room, which is the best thing. Room service is excellent and the needs taken care in no time. There is a Geyser in the Room and hence no issues with hot water. We have tried Bamboo biriyani for dinner (which is very very spicy..) and few traditional dishes. Everything tasted good. What we liked: 1. Location of the Resort 2. COURTEOUS & QUICK ROOM SERVICE 3. Spacious Room 4. Polite and Courteous staff 5. View from the Room & Restaurant 6. Room facilities (King Bed, Sofa Bed, two TVs, two ACs, Microwave, Mini fridge, Geyser, Locker, etc.) What we didn't like: 1. On arrival, we were made to wait for almost an hour to get our lunch, since there was a Buffet lunch for a large group of people going on. I have to remind the person several times to get our Lunch. 2. Very average Breakfast. Just idli, Vada, Dosa and Bread. On the second day, no change in menu and we found a Cockroach :( in Sambar. Though the Restaurant incharge apologized several times, this is unacceptable. 3. WiFi is unusable. 4. Room have tiled floors, which becomes freezing during night. A carpet on the floor would have helped. 5. Children's play area is not good. 6. Steep Ramp to reach the Resort & Restaurant, which is not easy for everyone.

Just average”
This place is located near to the Boat house. Rooms are clean. May be a good place for young people and not for Senior citizens.They may find it very difficult to walk as the place is very steep and sloppy. They provide breakfast as complimentary that's really appreciable but they just repeat the menu items. It will be boring to people if they stay more than 2 days. Also I had a tough time waiting for the Itemized receipts for the food we consumed during 2 days stay. Prices mentioned in Menu i.e what available in the rooms and what they consider for billing is not accurate. Found several discrepancies. During check-out process waited almost 45 minutes to sort the things. The staff even though they did the goof-up didn't have the courtesy to apologize. Staff should be trained on Courtesy.

Lovely Resort”
Location, Access, Comfort
Well i had a pleasant stay in this hotel, breakfast was delicious and the view from the restaurant and room was awesome. i should say we loved the stay. staffs were extremely helpful and they were kind, they provided us the best based on our demand. Few points which hotel management should focus on are as below 1. Hotel policy is to clean the rooms when travellers are present,i completely agree to this however i would suggest management to proactively check for cleaning the room. 2. daily free water bottles wasnt delivered to us on the second day, could have done this 3. there were frequent power cuts when it rains, but travellers should note that this is a hill station shouldnt expect more, Golden Nest has generators for TV fan lightetc etc ... which is good and appreciated. we took 2 rooms out of which the electricity wasnt available in one of the room, but it was sorted out by the electrician upon phone calls. I am going to visit again to this hotel on 1st of August. Hoping to get same kind of hospitality. A big applause for Golden Nest thank you for making our stay so memorable Regards Viji

Not very comfortable”
centrally located
Not very clean and not very prompt in service. Even hot water is not available other than 6AM to 9Am in the morning after repeated requests. Imagine that in a hill station. No food options.. No Ala Carte, only Buffet while we were there.
