Rigtig godt”
2 Big issues for the hotel to solve: 1. it takes far too long to check in and out; there are always queues and generally only 2 harassed staff to cope with flow 2. the internet sometimes works and sometimes doesn't; I had to change room to get connected

Highly questionable ethics ”
The hotel suddenly battle with English when there is a query . First my room entitled 2 to have breakfast , they advised not so I must pay extra for second breakfast , even though I showed my Agoda confirmation stating 2 . Worst still we had to leave the hotel the second morning at 4.30 am so could not make use of the breakfast . Then when we checked out the hotel added CNY 1092.50 for each room . That approx US $365 for the commission paid to Agoda . Now there was no one available to query this with and our taxi was waiting to take us to the airport . I was compelled to pay this and would expect Agoda who I have used all over the world to refund this money and resolve the matter with the hotel .

Good value for money in China, except the food.”
The room size and amenities were good value for money but the room service was apalling. Food was substandard, the hotel kitchen did not know what one of the pastas was, they simply replied "I dont know". When delivered, food was cold and horrible and not worth 100RMB for the plain overcooked pasta with olive oil drizzled on top (yes thats all it was). Everything else was fine, I speak Chinese so I didnt have a problem but when I arrived (at midnight) bear in mind no one at the front desk spoke English. The porter was not waiting to help with bags, I had to run around looking for him. The key card didnt work initially I came all the way back downstairs for them to re-issue it. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and helpful, in South African standards this is 3 star hotel though :/ I did not try the breakfast.

For the money, really not great ”
I have stayed at several hotels in Beijing, and was not impressed with this one. It was as expensive, if not more expensive then the other hotels I've stayed out. However, their customer service was not good. The TV did not work when I originally arrived. There were a lot of surfaces around the room that were not very clean. And it did not provide any sort of warmth. As a westerner, looking for western amenities, I would not recommend this hotel .

Only place I ever want to stay in Beijing”
This place is 2nd to none in my opinion. I recommend paying a bit more for the executive level = top notch breakfast to sustain you throughout most of the day, plus afternoon tea & happy hour. Excellent service - hotel staff goes above & beyond!

Fantastisk”
The rooms are in need of an upgrade (small flat screen TV) and sometimes I can hear the people next to me. But the price and location is fantastic so I keep coming back
