Okay resort
beliigenhed tæt på strand. Renlighed. Venlighed
meget unødvendig støj om aftenen. Specielt børn var helt vildt larmende og sprang rundt i møblerne. Havde bestilt aircondition og varmt vant, men fik det ikke. Ville have 1.000 Pesos mere pr dag. Helt forkert. Godt spisekort, men flere ting fandtes ikke. Svært at finde et sted hvor man kunne have ro.

Clean, reliable, friendly
We are all our meals here for 5 days as every meal was very good. After 5 weeks of AC rooms I tried one here with a fan only, but missed the AC. Sleeps with open door and not a single bug. Staff were very friendly and helped with every question and request. I would stay here again but with AC next time. Take a day trip to Kallangaman Island and you will be happy you did.

The place is nice
The place is right in front of the beach but the swimming place in front is not that clean and not convenient for swimming as there are boats docked

There are much better once
The room is pretty ok. Though full of mosquitos, so we asked for a net. They brought 2 different nets full of holes and a stink smell. There was nothing prepared on the beach. So it was dirty and you had to ask for sun lounges. They do NOT have a own dive school.

Good location, poor quality food
food is below average - my mate`s food came raw/undercooked - asked for it to be replaced, but instead it got re-fried. I was stunned.

Overrated and overpriced!
My feelings about this place were initially quite positive as one of the girls in reception did her best to help me by answering questions prior to my arrival but the fellow in charge quickly made me change my mind. Under the guise of a welcome drink, I was greeted by a pompous man with an inflated ego who told me he was the man in charge. He enjoyed talking about his years in the Philippines and his knowledge of the island – he cautioned me to use only the tours offered by the hotel since tour operators not associated with the hotel would undoubtedly try to take advantage of tourists. He told me he was there to solve problems but when I later told him I felt the room I was assigned was not the same as I booked, his arrogance became more evident as he told me that if I did not like it, I could go look for another place! I had had a long day of travel and it was already late afternoon so I decided not to look for another hotel as I was there only for a couple of days and it was getting dark and I did not know the area. The location is ok but the beach was not clean and I saw no attempt at cleaning it. It is not a good area for swimming as it’s full of boats in front of the hotel. In my room, the shower had very low water pressure, the water faucet rotated when the water was turned on so you had to hold it with one hand while turning the tap with the other. The dogs that are allowed to wander in the eating area did not make the so so breakfast more appetizing. More about the fellow in charge - even more disturbing was that he was later seen casually passing his hand on the legs of a girl (girlfriend or staff???) who was sitting near reception - not exactly what one would expect from a man in charge. This fellow has no idea of customer service or how to act in public.

Great place but a little pricy for a longer stay
I really enjoyed my stay at Hippocampus. It's clean, comfortable and in a great location. The staff are lovely and the restaurant is very good. Unfortunately, it's a little pricy for just one person if you're going to stay on the island for more than a few days.
