Lindo hotel - Beautiful place”
Really good hotel in front of the sea, giant rooms with great bathrooms. Good breakfast, everything was excellent. Lindo hotel em frente ao mar, pertíssimo da Piazza San Marco, quartos enormes com banheiros lindos. Ótimo café da manhã, tudo muito bom.
Great location, the staff were very helpful and welcoming...it was a great experience.
Superb location ”
Our room was elegant with a balcony and spectacular views. We loved arriving to the serenity and magic of hotel Gabrielli. And the breakfasts were superb.
Just an amazing hotel with everything you'll need. Beautiful room (327 is a must) lovely restaurant, fantastic views, rooftop bar with view of the sunset over the main canal, private garden with lawn...just amazing. Great location just a 5 minute walk to San Marco & Doges Palace. Well be back...again & again!
Lagoon view room”
The room was lovely and clean, however, when I booked a lagoon view, I didn’t expect to have to stand on my toes and peek around a corner to see that lagoon. We decided to splurge for our last night in Italy and paid $316 (CAD) for a lagoon view room. We were disappointed and felt like we were stuck up in an attic room far away from everything. The buffet breakfast was lovely. No real complaint other than I feel the room was misrepresented by calling it a lagoon view.
Past century Venice”
Very pleasant atmosphere of last century, old fashioned furniture that brings one back in time combined with modern facilities. Breakfast is great as well as the fantastic roof-top terrace. Very close to transportation and all the sites. Ideal for the Biennale.
Very bad experience”
The location is great. The Guestroom doenst look like the photos. We had our room just next to the lift so we could hear all night the lift going up and down, we asked if we could change to other rooms and we were given an option of one little room on the upper floor with the inclined ceiling, we ask if they could reduce the price and they said I would have to speak with the manager the next morning. So we have decided to stay on the guestroom they first gave us. In the morning we didnt have hot water to take shower we call the reception and a technician came to our room try to fix but he couldnt. so he call the reception speaking very very loud, and we were given the option to take shower in another room. The all experience was a disaster. And the price we pay doesnt the reflect at all we have paid. I'm happy we just stay one night
We enjoyed everything
STUNNING HOTEL WITH AMAZING LOCATION”
great hotel, amazing location. Ask for a room on one of the top floors, amazing view, we were given a balcony at no extra charge and drank wine admiring the view x plenty of choice for breakfast, hotel will keep safe your bags if you arrive early and after checkout so you have time to explore more. water taxi close by. roof terrace on floor 5 was great although no bar up there so we took our own x
Great stay, amazing location”
We stayed here for our anniversary and it was a great hotel, with friendly staff and in a quieter section of the city. The room was really nice and has everything you need, the rooftop views are amazing!
Location of the hotel was fantastic. Very close to many of the main sights and right by Arsenale vaporreti stop! We had a 5th floor room with an incredible view. When opening the main windows it felt like we were on the sea!!which at first could appear noisy but was quiet at night. We loved it. The side windows showed the canal and St Marcs square!! Amazing!the only thing that could be updated was the hairdryer everything else was great.
Highly recommend ”
Great hotel, would highly recommend, we had a lagoon view room and were not dissapointed, we loved the simplicity of this hotel with all its original 1950's furniture and bathrooms unlike most hotels in Venice at this price point with over the top reproduction baroque interiors which can be a bit naff, the garden at the back was delightful the perfect place to chill and the staff were extremely efficient and accommodating. Looking forward to our next visit here.
Bank Holiday break”
We stayed at the Gabrielli for two nights and were very pleased with the hotel, great service, and great location. The hotel was spotlessly clean, staff were friendly but unobtrusive and we had a very nice breakfast to start each day. We would definitely go again!
Trip to Venice”
Small room, good location, good food
Perfect location on The Grand Canal. Great roof top seating area, fabulous breakfast.
staff were not very friendly in the beginning, but toward the end of our stay they cheered up. no room service was disappointing, but over all it was OK.
Warm and wonderful hotel.”
gabrielli is perfectly located on the water, at a ferry stop and 5 minute walk to san marco. rooms are a little older, but very clean and comfortable. i would call rooms quaint. if you have a balcony room, view is beautiful. staff is so warm and friendly and helpful. family owned and run...we felt very much at home and welcomed. any questions were handled quickly and efficiently. breakfast was plentiful and varied. the big bonus is the rooftop terrace. a thrilling view venice and islands. magnificent. i think this is one of the very few terraces of its type in venice. i would stay at this hotel for the terrace alone. we bought cheese, wine, bread, olives at the local store each day and enjoyed our own happy hour on the terrace. magical! sunsets beautiful and evening lights on the shore amazing.
Nice contemporary hotel settings near the Vatican ”
I had just one nite in Rome which I should have had longer! Everything could have been more than perfect if they could fix the wifi in my room! it worked anywhere else but my room on that day! nice restaurant and great services from all staff!
We chose this hotel based on its location, 5 minutes to San Marco Square but apart from that we would not recommend it to anyone. The bed is very small and short. The toilet is very big. We spent sleepless night on the uncomfortable bed. Beside that we can hear every sound like the wall is made of paper. We travelled a lot but this is the first hotel that made us think abt poor grading. Who decide this hotel should get 4 stars and why?
good value...roofdeck with a view!”
good location/value comfortable room, nothing fancy, older but adequate breakfast is ok
