samrat - the great bubble”
Samrat the prime ITDC property in the country capital is past its glory the hotel it seems is better of being a court than a 5* hotel property with lawyers swarming the place ........ with the swimming pool out of order the Disco closed was a total let down, but the STAFF of the hotel was a great relief right from the security to the reception room service were exceptional infact they made us feel at home. ITDC being the primary flag bearer should put its own house in order or better reduce the star rating to 3* and stop misleading persons like us into believing a nonexistent dream.

Room service people even respond in odd hours if you are reaching (say) at 2.00 AM. Very good hotel and spacious and clean room.

First of all, being a partial entity of government they are hardly concerned with the customer satisfaction. I have an experience in which I had reservation with the hotel for three days but I stayed in hotel hardly for 24 hrs due to some changes. At the time of checkout I was told by cashier himself that you are charged half of your deposited amount and the remaining amount will be refunded back to you. After one day when I made a call to know the time till which I receive the amount, they denied for the same. How can you trust such hotel which itself is manipulative in its commitments.

Pros: 1) Location if you have any work at central Delhi, 2) Specious rooms, but need renovation 3)Cleanness 5) Good room service, n house keeping 6) Food is tasty n quantity is enough for two adult Cons: 1) WiFi doesn't work 2) Rooms need renovation

Not worth for the money spent. The pillows were too hard and thick. Couldn't sleep whole night. Thin pillows were not available. The cleanliness was not there. Breakfast was average. Total waste of money.

I believe Hotel Samrat was once a great hotel of its time but current condition is very very poor. I think the only reason they keep running the hotel is to fund the constructions for renovations... Room was not clean at all, everything is old and dirty. I may accept poor conditions however then they should not keep their prices still higher level...
