      Posh on the outside, terrible on the inside”
      This is the worst kind of hotel experience for me - it is a place clearly designed for show and for people who want to be seen but who do not care about anything else. The lobby and gardens are gorgeous (albeit very Western - the property feels a lot like it is trying to be the Italian Bellagio) but once you get passed the elevator, my room was awful. 1. There is no place to put your luggage except on the floor and at turndown service they actually piled the bed runner on top of my stuff. 2. Something is low on batteries so there is a constant beeping. Not very relaxing. 3. My neighbor's guests kept ringing my doorbell by accident - also not very relaxing. Perhaps it would help to have the number written below the buzzer? 4. There is a stocked mini bar which is nice, but it includes beer but no bottle openers. The white wine is terrible. 5. The paid wifi is terribly slow and times out constantly. I complained to the manager so he comped me one night (of 3) but it's unconscionable that they are charging for this - I had (much) better signal strength for free everywhere else I stayed in India...including at a one star hostel in the desert. 6. The bathroom is really gross. There is wet, unfinished grout, rust and mold in the shower. There is also something wrong with the hinges on the bathroom door and I had to stuff a towel under it to keep it from closing on me. 7. Food that people have orders from room service sits out in the hallways for 2 days! Gross. 8. Restaurant: has no teaspoons for coffee 9. Spa: has no music or TV and no talking so you just sit there for an hour bored. I was pretty sure my nails were still wet but the tech said he put a quick dry coat on them and they were fine...nope, sure enough they were wrecked by the time I got to my room. 10. Business center: has 3 computers but 2 of them also charge for internet and you have to wait for the free one. 11. Sky bar is fun and has beautiful hookas but the service is terrible.       Too much money for lousy service, small weird-shape stinky room, mold all over the bathroom and hot water smelling like piss (unbearable to take hot shower). Very disappointed and wouldn't recommend for that money. It seems that it used to be a nice place but long time ago. The location is good - just two minutes from the metro station.

      i hope others arent fooled by the images they see on this site. this hotel is not worth the money... unfriendly & unsupportive bar a couple of them tiny boxed rooms low class facilities your laptop screens are larger than their TVs Brekky & room service isnt worth the bucks good luck

      Cost mockery: I was a walk-in customer. After waiting for 10 mins in queue, was offered a 10,000 ++ rate for base room and the front desk told, if you can get a better rate online, please do so, but will allot a room in 30 mins after. I did online booking then. Got it for some 5600 ++ for a royal suite. Room & Service: I was not given a preference but allotted a smoking room, stinking of smell. Front desk assumed that I did not have luggage and didn’t send anyone to drop off at room. Phone from room to front desk went unanswered multiple times so I had to personally come back to request for a change due to awful stinky room. I had to wait in queue once again to request change of room. This time, room key didn’t work. So I came back again to front desk. Subsequently, upon insisting, they sent a bell boy to drop off, but he had strict instruction not to share the same lift as guest - not even upon my request to the shift manager, given the ride they were giving me already. So eventually the front desk guy accompanied, and was able to open room after multiple attempts. Room did not have dental kit, slip-ons, no bath robe, broken iron (which scratched through my cotton shirt) and no TV remote (it took me a while to figure how to turn on tv without a remote – since they have a dated tv model. In morning, it took 5 phone calls and 30 mins (from 7.30 AM till 8.00AM) for housekeeping to deliver the dental kit and the attendant was rude enough to continuously ring the door while attended the door after hanging on the phone with housekeeping for the 5th time. Restaurant - there is one buffet restaurant on ground floor. Dinner was served till 11PM I was told. I managed to reach at 10.30PM. They did not have many guests, but the attendant refused to serve soup on table and asked me to help myself. For breads, I ordered butter rumali roti, and was given a plain one.       Very nice hotel with fantastic breakfast”
      This is a really good nice hotel with nostalgic looking interior. The bed was very comfortable. I really cannot understand the many average or bad Reviews. I wished I had booked one more night here instead of Metropolitan Hotel and spa. Especially the buffet breakfast was really fantastic with so many options for us Indians- differentfreshly made breads like parantha, puri, dosa...and so many chutneys. I am vegetarian Hindu so I didn`t try the Continental Options but they they looked very good and fresh as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They only Thing I would recommend is that they should let their female staff wear Indian clothes like Salwar Kameez or Saree- not These terrible looking Western style Business suits for women!

      Room for improvement ”
      The hotel location is good and reception/ guest services are courteous and looking to assist. However the drawbacks which need a lot of improvement are 1). The rooms are poorly kept. My first room was stinking of cigarette smoke, they were kind eneough to change it to an upgraded club room but that too was stinking of smell of stale socks. ). The waiters in room service had a bad sweaty odour when they enter your room to seve you. Even the room floors have a faint sweaty odour. What they need is the service of a good consultant to assist them with these issues by adopting the latest technologies such as a odour removing products which don't mask but rather kill the odours caused by the bad bacteria and the waiters need to be told to shower twice a day with use of proper Deos and soaps. Maybe a consultant for hotels such as a Taj/ ITC couks help them. If these issues could be addressed then it's a fantastic hotel with a super roof top bar and great value for money.

      don't go by the pictures.. they don't offer what they show”
      This hotel shows room images of Royal Suite room type in the description of Deluxe King room. In fact the deluxe king room doesn't even have King size bed. It is a queen size bed. and the bed in Deluxe queen room looks like just a cot. This hotel keeps showing same images in all room types which actually belong to Royal Suite to make customers fool. also, they have pathetic room service and staff.

      Worst breakfast experience ever”
      Went for breakfast by myself and was not assigned a table. I think the restaurant is too small to accommodate all guests. Either way I had to find a table by myself. Went to get my food and the table was taken. Walked around and all tables were full so I had to share a table. Went to get my second plate and again my seat got taken. This time I had to wait 5 mins for another seat. Absolute nonsense. What a mess
